, the regulator pointed out to influencers that online pokies (slots) and casino games are illegal in Australia.

Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok were the platforms identified by the ACMA.

Possible fines
For individual influencers, breaching the law can result in civil penalties of up to $59,400.

Influencers who facilitate access to illegal online gambling services – such as by giving hyperlinks – can incur even greater penalties, for individuals this could be up to $2,475,000.

If they went in hard right from the off, stuff like this would be nipped in the bud.

Simply go after the most egregious offender, slap them with the full $60k fine, watch them cry their eyes out on social media for a week or two and get loads of exposure, and the message is sent out loud and clear.

Influencers would sell cynaide pills if they could earn out of it. Take them to the fucking cleaners I say 😎

A piddling max AU $2,475,000 fine though wouldn't affect belljars like R*shte*n because it's only just under 25 of his $100,000 spins....:laugh:

Edit: Apologies, the fine is actually real money.
