Blocked from playing free promotion games

A few weeks ago I committed a major crime I played for 2 hours on Unibet and got the pop up "we have noticed you are playing more than usual" and the option to click "yes I understand my options" or click the safer tools button. The next day I went to play the free promo game Spin n Win and it said "The game is not available" I went to 32 red to play their free Tipping Point Promo and this was not available.

After about a week both promos returned, yesterday I committed the same crime again and same warning, same consequences. I have not seen this with any other casino that they block you from playing any promo just for playing for a few hours, seems a little bit petty to block people from a cheap promo just for using their site.

Do other casinos do this? I mean I could still deposit and play so it's not like they are barring me from the site and I only have a £10 deposit limit so I was not spending more than the minimum amount.

So it has happened again I deposited and played at 32red yesterday and this morning both free promos are blocked for me again, what a stupid system if you play at any of our casinos we will ban you from our free promotions for a week.

I won like three free 10p spins or whatever it was on BetVictor and cashed out over £800 a few hours later, immediately got hit with the ol' "after a review we've decided to limit your account," which entailed no longer having access to promotions and nothing else. Y'know, for my own safety.

I still get a little chubbed up when I think about it. Casino tears are the tastiest.

I have a £10 deposit limit I rarely play at 32red as the payout times are so slow but occasionally I will go there and every time at both 32red and Unibet they block you from the free Tipping Point and Spin n Win if you deposit and play.

What this achieves I do not know it's not likely to make me play there less as I don't play there much unless I am lucky from the free spins so all it does is make me not both depositing and just play any free spins.

Are you saying that if you don't deposit you can log in and are able to play the freebies?

On most of them, yeah. Some do require you to make a deposit first.

They will limit or close your account if you actually win anything though. Some of them probably stop you from actually getting any freebies if you don't deposit enough. For example, on Betfred I never deposited anything and within the first two weeks of signing up I won 50 free spins twice and then literally never won a single free spin ever again.

Ah, yeh, I've been banned from a fair few sites while intentionally only depositing and gambling if the odds are improved one way or another, all while knowing the bonus ban or revoking of freebies will be coming sooner or later as a result of such an approach :D

WilliamHill is a good example of a site that limits you if you do not deposit enough on a regular basis. One absolute shite outfit though, so decided to milk them with minimal deposits and quick withdrawals for as long as I could.

I was just trying to understand Steve's situation with 32Red a bit better. It reads as a fairly strange situation to be put in for a depositing player.

I'm guessing what's happening is that his overall average playtime is really low. When he logs in just to play the freebies, the amount of time he spends playing is in line with his average, but when he deposits he plays for longer, which then triggers an automatic account limitation because those 2 hours far exceed his average.

Naturally they don't want to stop him from depositing, so they just limit player access to free promotions either to give the illusion their system combats problem gambling, or a deliberate attempt to encourage people to spend more time gambling.

I think it is this but weirdly if I win free spins from the free promo and win cash (which is bonus cash until wagering is met) then it doesn't ban you it is only after a real money deposit.

Loads of places do this now.

365 and hills are the worse culprits.

It’s so annoying. I had it with hills just a couple of weeks ago. For obvious reasons the only games I play at hills are a couple of BTG ones. But I do use them for sports betting. Their prices are pretty good for certain markets. So I make a fair few deposits most weeks.

However if I decide to session bonanza or millionaire for example then I nearly always get the old ‘you’re playing to much and in line eith our responsible gaming nonsense we are limiting our promotions from you’ etc etc.

It’s fucking laughable. Especially as last week during this promo ban they emailed me to tell me my monthly loss limit has been increased from £1k to £1.25k!!! So basically feel free to continually deposit and lose £1,250 but because we are a responsible vendor u can’t have a go at 5 free spins or a bet £5 get a £5 free bet.

Absolute wankers. I’d love to have a conversation with the morons that came up with that bollox. Clueless.

365 often cut me out of the prize grabber. I only have a £250 loss limit per month but if I dare get any game time from said £250 then again it’s ’you’re playing to much’ so we aren’t letting you play the free daily game because we are responsible bookies.

I even messsged support to say basically you do realise that I can’t lose more than the limits you have set right?? I played for a few hrs and lost £12.50 but you think I’m being irresponsible because I still have £237.50 left to lose. Would you feel better if I went to £5 stake and bust out in 5 mins??’

Again absolutely stupid and pathetic.

I've found that actually using the safer gambling tools a lot of places point you towards then leads to the "free stuff" and bonuses magically disappearing.

I tend to Time Out for a while on sites when I've hit a personal budget allowance, even just a week at a time and that does it. 365 freebie disappears sometimes. I even had the temerity to win a fair bit a month or so ago, then used half of those winnings as "house money" to play around with and entertain myself when I had a load of free time - all the L&L bonuses stopped coming and they put a restriction on my weekly limit so I couldn't raise it from that huge amount of £50 to a massive £100.

It's also the fact that these blocks just appear with no warning. And it's not like I don't use the safer gambling tools - it seems to be BECAUSE I use them!

Moan, whinge. whatever...

Safer gambling tools can actually be used by casinos as looking for issues, ie if you exclude yourself from a casino for x weeks, they will use it to say "hmm why would you do that, do you need help, must be a problem" instead of it being used as a temporary measure for your own piece of mind. I once changed the loss limit instead of the deposit limit and OMG why are you trying to increase your loss limit from £10 to whatever, NO NO NO must be a reason, yes I changed the wrong part of the form.

Got banned from Tesco and Asda last week.

Went in for a 3rd time and bought some things.

Obviously a problematic customer, who clearly is addicted to food and drink.

Let’s hope Morrisons don’t cull me or I’m fucked.
Depends if you bought sugary foods and fattening ones then this could actually happen don't give them ideas.

Lottomart just opened up a super market down the road from me.

Endless queues tho as once you’ve purchased your food shop, the checkout bird/bloke has to spend 6 weeks looking over ur bank statements and wage slips before they release ur grub and the security guard can let you out!!!

I’ve just had a message to say that due to taking several short breaks, a deposit and play limit has been put on my account …..for 8 hours!! My several short breaks are usually when I know I won’t be playing for a few days and in my head, I’m trying to make sure the account is safe! Perhaps it’s better not to apply any short breaks? Would the same happen if I applied a break for 6 weeks or so? Thanks!
