Just a hypothetical question re: payouts

I've just joined ABC and await account verification (though I've already sent the required documents). No problem there.

From what I've read it seems the maximum payout is £5000 - is that correct?

Just a hypothetical question but what happens if someone wins a £10 million Megaways pot? That's going to take a long time to pay at £5000 a pop :)

Just out of interest.

Thanks for any enlightenment.

The 5k limit is for e-wallets like Neteller and Skrill. Bank transfers may only be limited by banking limits, as far as I know.

@L&L-Jan can confirm :)

There are no limits, there is always "high value bank transfer" option where you can withdrawal whole amount.

Progressive jackpot wins payout would actually be slower as a regular win given win confirmation from provider and KYC check by operator and provider.

UKGC rules prevent rationing or limiting of payments. If you won say 100k they may send 10x 10k payments for security, accounting or banking reasons but they would not unduly delay any of them. The 5K applies to a single payment at the casino probably, so if you won 25k say, you would get 5x 5k separate payments, but likely paid the same day. In other countries, they may well be permitted to drip-feed big wins, but not here.

Jackpots are paid as single amounts, again these cannot be filtered. There's no reason to as the provider already has the total funds via game progressive contributions and pays the player, not the casino. IGT used to pay megapots with annual payments over 20 years or a choice of a lesser lump sum, that applied to UK too but I am not sure it would now.

Just don't win a Playtech one in case they pay the casino who then abuse it and blackmail the winner lol

(re. look up the Joyland scandal on here.)

I think Visa is limited to £5k as well mate (or at least it used to be)
yes payments via processors like ewallets and cards are subject to limits. But if your balance exceeds 5k we always show "high value bank transfer" where you can transfer whole balance. Tiny example:

Yeah, I remember the morning after that arrived, a smarmy woman from the bank called asking if I was interested in investments etc.

I actually fell for that once - move your money to this account you will get more interest.

Failed to tell me that they automatically report any interest to HMRC so I thought I was earning decent interest only for the taxman to send me a letter saying you owe us 40% of the interest the account hhas accured. That was a fun conversation.
