Natwest Bank Problems?

I've suddenly gone overdrawn by about £4 in my account and I had around £60 in my bank last night. I've tried to phone various Natwest helplines and I cant even get a dial tone. There is no payment authorised on my online app either. I tried to make a small deposit in both Bet365 and Paddy Power and was told I have no payment method recognised despite being a regular depositor with both and having made a £60 withdrawal from Bet365 only last night.
Anybody know of any problems?

Sounds like a bank issue mate - have you tried the live chat feature? Natwest use an auto chat bot called Cora but if you tell it you need to speak to an adviser, they usually put you through to a real person live chat quite quickly.
Thanks. I didnt know that you could speak to a live person through that cora thing.

Might be that you have spent it by mistake and the balance is indeed correct.

I know my bank at times does similar. You spend money by debit card and often it appears back in account the next day or so and you can spend it again. Then it comes out again a day or two later.

Same as if i spend a thousand pound today. Between 12.10 and 12.30 tonight the whole amount is back in account for about 10 minutes before it dissapears again. I could technically remove it or pay bill and it would let me. Then 10 minutes later the bill would be paid but my account would be overdrawn by a £1000 if that had been all that had been left.

I am meticulous with how I spend my money and I always check my app before depositing. If I was in credit yesterday then I know I couldnt be in debit today because the spending matches the incomings. They are trying to blame the 'Pending' stuff but I am not having it and am digging deeper into this.
That's what I was saying.

If you were in credit yesterday that could include money you had spent days before that had showed back in your account. Then today it's came navk out again and as you had spent it again it's overdrawn.

Not saying that's happened to you as I've no idea what's in your account. I know tho at times when I've loads coming in and out my account sometimes isn't accurate. For example I can think I've 400 in account. Don't spend anything else but next day its up to 420 and day after it's 360 and that's what's actually meant to be in it. Lol why I now try to remember exactly what account should be even if it says different.

What times did you make the deposits mate? I only ask as sometimes my hsbc account throws a bit of a fit if I'm depositing around 0200 in the morning

I've worked out that deposits that they've already taken are still in the pending list. They are trying to double charge me for four transactions adding up to the £60 I know I'm due. I know this because I've checked on the casino's websites, two at Midnite and one at Virgin Games and one at Monopoly Casino and they are for amounts that aren't usual for me and I haven't made deposits of that size on the date stated. I'm waiting for my son who is an accountant to help me confirm this but I'm almost positive on this.

I have had this before with Santander, proved them wrong but they somehow still reckon it was my fault. Had to take them to the ombudsman.
