Rainbow riches Jackpot O'Luck - Faulty game?

Hi all,

I just wanted your opinion on this to see if I am misinterpreting the rules of the game (It's on Gamesys networks like Virgin Games, Starspins etc).

Basically I hit the freespins, where you can "pick" for extra freespins, multiplier and letters to get the jackpot.
I hit 4x multipler, but I did not get any prizes multiplied in the freespins themselves.

I went to try again this morning, just to see if I was seeing thing wrong, and managed to take a screenshot and as you can see, it only paid 1.50 over two lines with a stake of 75p, which is what it would normally pay without any multipliers.



The rules of the game says this:


"Free Spins Bonus

3 Bonus symbols on any active payline awards the bonus. Pick from 15 barrels to reveal Free Spins, Multipliers and JACKPOT letters. Continue picking until “Start Free Spins” is revealed.

Win the Progressive Jackpot by revealing all 7 letters to spell “JACKPOT”.

Win up to 25 Free Spins with up to a x6 win multiplier.

Free Spins

All wins in the free spins are multiplied by the win multiplier except for the 5x Wild prize and the progressive jackpot. Different reels and pays are used for the free spins.

The Bonus can be retriggered by landing 3 bonus symbols anywhere on the first 3 reels in free spins. A new pick bonus is awarded, giving you another chance to win the Progressive Jackpot! I've raised a complaint with support, who will forward it to the Technical Team as the support guy only said "I can see you completed your game and it was paid out correctly " lol..

So, it does seems like this game is not doing what it's supposed to do.

I've checked again in Demo mode, so as an example. Hitting queens gives 0.50p on 75p stake.

So I even more confused why it's given me 75p in the bonus? Should it not be 1.50 per line??

Three Q's is 50p in base game so should be £1.50 per line so should be £3 in total

Yep, so I don't quite understand how it's paying like this. I also remember my £3 bonus with 4x multiplier that two scatters which normally pays £9 (3x win) paid £12.

I'm looking forward for the support to get back to me and explain this.

As far as I can see, that's one line, 50p 3x = £1.50

No, look at the bottom right of the picture, it says line 13 paid 75p

It looks like one line, 3Q. Your coin size was 5p. The payout for that is 10x coin stake, so 5x10x3 = £1.50.

Well you are wrong, this is a screenshot of the winlines, so you can see it hits line 6 and 13.

Your win is based on three symbols as below. Although the positions could be seen to be two line wins, your payout is based on just those three symbols = one line.

No, that's now how lined games works. You get paid for each line. It's not megaways or 243 ways style.

That's how all the games work.. go to any other lined games and you will see the same result. Imagine you have a win one line 1 straight across on a game and a win on 5 (say book of dead), would you only get paid for the one line because they intersect? No.

But its 2 lines wins , think about any other line games they pay on both lines its not like its a 243 slot

My thinking is that if the lines had continued to positions 4 and 5, you would have got two line wins. But as it stopped as position 3, which is the same on both lines, there is only one line win counted.

This is pretty serious when I think about it, I have no idea how long this game has been out on the sites.

Would players have right for compensation for wrongly paid out paytable? @trancemonkey Isn't this a pretty major screw up by testing agencies, unless I am missing something?

My thinking is that if the lines had continued to positions 4 and 5, you would have got two line wins. But as it stopped as position 3, which is the same on both lines, there is only one line win counted.

Go and play the game in demo mode and you will see that it will tell you that you win on all the lines that are connecting either full or only 3.

Ok, looking at the Paytable again now, I see suddenly a "Freespin Paytable", I am 99% sure that was no there before (but I cannot be certain).

What a ridiclious thing to do, reduce the actually prizes and then have multipliers to make up for them

It was there earlier when I checked, but I assumed the payable would be the same other than extra symbols.

But that's Barcrest - never knowingly worthwhile.

Aye. Though being fair, some of the Rainbow Riches games are good fun. But only the ones which allow 20p bets. They all feel horrifically unfair at higher levels.

Doesn't this mean that you could, theoretically, trigger the collect/start feature, before collecting any multipliers? So your "free games" are actually played on a lower stake as it were, than what you paid to trigger it.

Absolutely ridiculous Yeah sure it's in the paytable and all but who would actually think to look there just to confirm that the payouts are the same ...

TBH a lot of games have a different paytable for the free games, it sucks but its not much different to using different reels sets that make you think your free spins are going to be as generous as the base game then you find its not
