PAB in progress Complaint Against Don Bet Casino, No Response

Hello,

I would like to file an official complaint regarding Don Bet Casino *snip*

Account Email: *snip*

Username (if relevant): *snip*

Country of residence: United Kingdom

Dates involved: 22nd – 26th July 2025

Amount lost: Over £10,000

I deposited significant amounts of money during the above period and lost over £10,000.

During that period, I was hospitalized following surgery on my leg and recovering from a serious operation. I was in a very vulnerable physical and mental state. Despite this, Don Bet allowed me to continue depositing large amounts of money without any kind of responsible gambling intervention – no affordability checks, no pop-up warnings, no time-outs or self-exclusion suggestions.

After the losses, I contacted Don Bet support and requested a review and reimbursement based on responsible gambling obligations. Unfortunately, they have not responded.

I also contacted eCOGRA, but they informed me that Don Bet is not under their ADR scheme. I then tried to contact the supposed licensing authority in Curaçao, but my emails bounced back. I am left without any formal support options.

I believe I was allowed to continue gambling unchecked in a clear state of vulnerability, which should have triggered responsible gambling mechanisms from the casino.

I’m posting here hoping that Casinomeister can help bring attention to this issue and possibly assist in recovering part or all of the lost funds.

If any moderators or the Don Bet representative would like to contact me, I am available and open to discuss.

Thank you for your time and support.

Nicolae

Hi again,

As promised, I am attaching the full set of evidence related to my complaint.

DonBet_Case_Full_Evidence_Nicolae_T.pdf includes:
  • Verified bank and crypto transactions between July 22–26, 2025.
  • Screenshots showing dozens of deposits made to Don Bet Casino during this period, totalling over £10,000.
  • Please note that all of this occurred while I was hospitalised and recovering from surgery – this is also documented in my medical discharge summary (available if needed).
To date, Don Bet has failed to respond to any of my inquiries.

Thank you again for your time and support,

Nicolae

Hello Nicolae,

We’d be happy to look into your case for you but there are a few things you need to be aware of from the start:
  • if the casino is licensed in Curaçao then their attention to your vulnerabilities is basically not their concern. Responsible Gambling practice for Curaçao casinos is left entirely up to the individual oparator OR the complainant’s ability to pursue the matter legally. To date we know of zero cases where a Curaçao GCB licensed casino has been pressed by the GCB to implement and follow Responsible Gambling practices.
  • the bottom line is that the Curaçao GCB license does not require licensees to designate an ADR and as such pretty much every licensee we’ve looked at says “take your complaint to the GCB”. The problem is that the GCB has no intention of looking at individual complaints and thus far their response -- when they respond — is “get a lawyer”.
  • if you still want us to look into your case for you you’ll need to file a Player Arbitration (PAB) request with us. Look up at the top menu and click “Submit Complaint”. Here is a guide to help you through that if needs be: How to submit a Player Arbitration (PAB) Ticket - Casinomeister Forum .

DonBet is part of Santeda and has a history of non-payment and preying on problem gamblers. In fact, @maxd issued a warning: GoldenBet, MANY complaints and MANY unpaid players - Casinomeister Forum

The site is blocked from the UK, did you use a VPN to deposit and play there?
No I haven’t used any VPN

I’ve also (re)discovered that Donbet’s license claim is this:

"licensed and regulated by the Government of Curaçao under the gaming license No. 1668/JAZ"

The 1668/JAZ license was decommissioned and made defunct almost a year ago. If they haven’t managed to update their site with the new license — Curaçao GCB — in the past 12 months it’s a pretty fair bet that they have no license, which would be in keeping with their other unsavoury habits.

They also have an extensive history of ignoring player complaints.

PAB received and in progress.

I did not use a VPN. I accessed the Don Bet site directly from my phone, using the hospital’s Wi-Fi network while I was admitted for surgery.

The site was fully accessible from the UK at the time — there were no restrictions, warnings, or blocks in place.

I wasn’t aware that the casino was supposed to be geo-blocked, as everything worked normally.

I acted in good faith and simply used what was available to me during a very vulnerable period.

I’ll say this one last time: post here again while your PAB is active and we’ll cancel your PAB and be done with it.

If you can’t respect the Player Arbitration Policies and Procedures then we can’t waste our time on your issue. There are many other players who are able to respect the Rules that need our help.

They are just shielding their current licencing information, like is usually the case with sites illegally offering to UK.

Proper licencing displayed from IPs outwith uk

I don't mean to be rude but a 'Don' is literally the head of a crime family, so this is basically 'Crime Casino' and I'm sort of thinking hey folks maybe there's a clue in the name.

Unless Trump owns it through an offshore company?
