Need your input: Do you remember the first online slot you played? If so, what was it?

I need some input here!

Can you recall the first 'online slot' you played?

Mine is going to be a little bit cliche, but it was Thunderstuck on the old Microgaming Viper client - CD required, download casino. I'm almost certain it was at 32Red, but my memory of which casino it was is a little hazy.

I am thinking it was probably around 2006, the exact date escapes me. Back then, virtually every slot game online was 96% RTP or better. It was the competitive advantage that online had over land-based slot vendors. Of course that has all changed now, and you would be lucky to find a casino that has Thunderstuck at 96%.

Great game though and certainly drew me in to playing slots online.

Probably tlhe game on one of those shitty U.K bingo sites i would imagine, Roulette in the bookies is what got me into roulette online and then lead to playing slot machines online also.
💩 at least unlike the slot, that would normally be buried in the litter tray.

I actually had to test every morning the slot games using a test account as part of my job at Ladbrokes Casino. So the slot in question would be mundane and boring, such that I cannot remember.

However, as a real player, Microgaming's Tombraider - absolutely loved that slot. Then along the line I met Simmo online and he converted me to Thunderstruck LOL

Nothing fancy alas. We ( whoever in the IT team was in at 7am ) were tasked with checking the casino. Basically ensure the slots / table games functioned. As well as checking Balls on Ladbrokes.com

We obviously had monitoring systems in place, plus Microgaming monitoring the Gaming Servers 24/7, but this formed part of the mundane tasks, to include checking overnight backups etc which formed part of the morning checklist.

FAT CAT at Intercasino ,endless nights playing. They had the best Casino manager ever Ryan Hartley.
I hit the Jackpot playing a slot called High noon. while i was working overtime . I deposited 15 $ . with
the last 3 quarters of my bankroll i won 1.200.000 nok. I was logged out of the casino, they frozemy account… 1 hour later i got a call from Ryan Hartley ,he confirmed the win and he said: We have frozen your account, because we wantyou to enjoy the jackpot in full. So we have send it to your registered payment method. But we have put a wagerfree 1000 $ bonus in your account so you can have some fun while waiting for the money to hit your account. Congratulations André .
4 enerving days later i went to my bank to ask how much i had in my account. He looked up at me stressed and said : Should iwrite it down for you ,Sir?
Best feeling ever. !!!

nok? dollars which is it?

He probably used dollar to make the deposit amount easier to understand for all you non-vikings.
If he won 1.2m NOK that is somewhere around 120k USD or 90k+ in Tea currency.

As for my first slot, well.

I was pretty late to the party, it was probably something you would find on the front page of most sites, Book of dead, starburst, dead or alive or something similar.
Back then i knew basically nothing about rtp, volatility etc, but funnily enough that did not matter much because back then there were only 96%+ rtp slots available more or less.

Also bonuses were plentiful and the terms were fair-ish, at least compared to todays standards.
WTB had not hit the scene yet so the best was still yet to come.

Hard to remember but it was most likely either Rainbow Riches or Cleopatra. I think the casino would have been Sky Vegas and they didnt have much on there at that time. This was back when the likes of Pragmatic and Play n' GO were a mere twinkle in someone's eye...

The early 2000s was crazy for online gambling in the UK. I also played for the first time ever with Ladbrokes, got the CD from the shop and literally legged it home. The days with Donna and Janet dropping massive chip drops and crazy birthday bonuses and tickets to sporting events including Wimbledon, Arsenal, Spurs, Ajax in Amsterdam (I was on the Arsenal private jet from Luton, had Thierry Henry sitting two rows behind me). That MG Viper software was the absolute nuts, really loved the roulette, so smooth. I guess it was Ladies Nite for me or Spring Break, but possibly Thunderstruck. Can't really remember. Used to love Loaded and Tally Ho too and Avalon.

I am so glad you added those last three words to that line. :p

I did try TS1 for a few sessions but could never hit a big line in FS, but I did get 2 or 3 max base game tanzanite wins with a wild on BDBA.

Best I did in BDBA FS was at 32Red on 81p spins with 5OAK wild+gold bars for over 2k IIRC.

Yep! My first ever online slot was Starburst - those cascading wins and neon vibes had me hooked instantly. Total nostalgia!
🫣😱😱

Spinomenal's Majestic King (but custom branded for the book/casino I was using).

A promo: 25 wager-free spins... FOR FREE, I couldn't ignore that. Made around $30-40? I don't remember exactly.

Did not touch slots for over 2 years after that...

then I noticed another promotion at the same casino, but this one was a contest. I placed highly and now I've gone down this rabbit hole of slots 😅

Alaskan Fishing on MG download casino - I was a purely VP player back then (we're talking like 20 years ago), got bored one day and opened up the available casino games, Alaskan Fishing was first on the list so I opened it and - due to playing VP at £2.50 a hand - thought nothing of a £3 spin... landed a bunch of wilds and won like £400 or something. Wasn't even that big of a win compared to what it could have been so I was 'hooked' right away.

I don't remember my first online slot I played, but I do remember the casino... Slots Magic! It was just after "Jackpot Party" got bought out in 2014 and it allowed me to sign up with my country. I thought "Sweet! I can play WMS as a Canadian..." I found out once I saw the list of slots that it wasn't the case. I think the provider I first played was from "Amaya".

Sweet Bonanza. I believe 90% of us have played this slot at least once… Unfortunately, I didn’t win that day. Tbh, I’m still attached to it, and I even play the SB 1000.

Sweet Bonanza, the pragmatic one? That was released in 2019. If that was your first slot you must me very young.
That’s a big assumption that everyone starts gambling when they are young. I didn’t get into online slots until later in life. In fact Sweet Bonanza was released before I started playing. It certainly would have been one of the first slots I played.

I've only been slotting for about 10 years, and the first game I played was good 'ole Starburst!
Nearly all the casinos that I signed up to had it as part of the new account free spins promo.
Still give it a whirl now and then..god help me!
