Casinomeister Accredited casinos are the gold standard. Below, you’ll find a list of our top-rated Accredited online casinos, why they’re the best of the best, along with everything else you need to know.

What Is An Accredited Casino?

An Accredited casino is a casino that has met all of our strict Accreditation Standards and gone through a vetting process in our forum. They are objectively among the best casinos in the market and are approved by experienced players from around the world.

In short, Accredited casinos have fair and transparent terms, they’re highly responsive to complaints, and have demonstrated a commitment to fair play. Moreover, casinos can’t pay to be listed here or receive any kind of special treatment.

Online casinos don’t get any better than this, and that’s not an exaggeration.

📃 Key Takeaways

  • Accredited casinos have to meet high standards before they can be eligible for the badge.
  • Any casino that wishes to become Accredited has to undergo the Baptism by Fire vetting process in our forum for up to 60 days.
  • Every Accredited casino has to maintain an active rep in the forum who can help resolve player issues quickly.
  • Strict Accreditation requirements and community vetting make Casinomeister the best place to go if you’re looking for casinos that truly are the best in the industry.

Why Trust Accredited Casinos?

Accredited casinos are trustworthy for two main reasons:

  1. They choose to hold themselves to a higher standard, and
  2. They’re held accountable if those standards ever drop.

Any casino that wishes to become Accredited at Casinomeister has to meet all our criteria first. This ensures they have fair policies and business practices, and it goes to show they’re serious about fair play and player protection.

Next, they have to pass up to 60 days of community vetting through the Baptism by Fire process. This serves as a test run to see how they fare in practice, basically ensuring their policies aren’t just talk.

Finally, if an Accredited casino lets their standards drop or starts turning a deaf ear to player issues and complaints, they can lose their Accreditation and all the benefits that come with it. We don’t just give them a slap on the wrist and pretend nothing happened: they are given an opportunity to resolve the problem, and if that fails, their Accreditation is removed.

Casinomeister Awards are an annual event where casinos can get rewards across a number of categories, including Best Casino, Best Casino Rep, Best Customer Service, and more. Accredited casinos usually steal the show.

Accredited Casino Standards — Making the List of the Best Online Casinos

These are the specific criteria every online casino has to meet before they can apply to become Accredited at Casinomeister.

Responsible Gaming Standards

1Must forbid underage play.
2Must have and maintain a record of fairness towards their customers.
3Must be able to take care of any player issue swiftly and professionally.
4Must display information about responsible gambling, with links to relevant organizations.
5Must offer and enforce spending limits in addition to both temporary and permanent self-exclusion options.
6Must process KYC (Know Your Customer) documents without undue delay: confirm validity while ensuring personal privacy is upheld.

Casinomeister has always been a player-centric site and a strong advocate of fair play and responsible gambling. These things were at the core of Casinomeister’s mission when the site was founded. As such, we require every Accredited casino to adhere to high standards of player protection.

Operational Standards

1Promotion terms and conditions must be clearly displayed, hyperlinked from all promotion pages or pop-up banners, and must contain a date and time stamp.
2Must not disqualify any player from a payout if terms & conditions are met, except for situations of fraud (multiple-accounts, bogus ID documents, chargebacks, etc.).
3Must not confiscate winnings for vague & unclear reasons, such as “irregular playing patterns” or “bonus abuse”, without specific T&C violations.
5No player shall be involuntarily placed into a situation which breaches the terms and conditions during the course of play.
6Must pay out progressive jackpot wins in full or in reasonable chunks, regardless of any terms and conditions limiting payouts. If a player is in a jurisdiction where large sums are problematic, the casino will make every possible attempt to pay the player expediently – with an agreement from the player.
7Must remove any bonus and associated play-through requirements at the request of the player if play on that bonus has not begun.
8Must offer live chat support.
9Must disclose all “sister” or related properties when applicable. If players are bound by terms that are enforced across a group of casinos, these casinos must be identified in an obvious place on the casino’s website.

Fair and transparent terms are key to building trust, and most of our operational standards are there to weed out casinos that make use of sketchy practices to cheat players out of their winnings on technicalities.

Industry and Player Assurances

1Must have a representative listed on the iGaming Reps page with relevant casino properties listed, and the rep must be somewhat active on Casinomeister’s forum (visit at least once a week).
2The forum representative must be directly involved with customer/player service, or who can make decisions involving player issues.
3The forum representative needs to log in regularly.
4If messages to the rep account go unanswered for more than a week that is a problem unbecoming an Accredited casino and will need to be rectified.
5Prolonged absence from the rep account is likely to trigger a review of the casino’s Accredited status.
6Must be willing to discuss any player or affiliate issue that is posted in our forum or submitted to us via our Player Arbitration (PAB) service.
7We expect our Accredited casinos to resolve problems fairly and expediently.
8Where necessary the Accredited casino must be willing to share evidence related and necessary to the settlement of the PAB issue.
9They must be licensed in a jurisdiction that offers gambling licenses for online casinos.
10This licensing entity must have an effective infrastructure that oversees and enforces compliance with regulations that protect players from fraudulent or unethical activity.

Most of the requirements in this section are in place to ensure swift resolution for player issues. Casino reps play a big part in this, as they’re there to expedite the resolution of any problems that might arise.

Marketing Standards

1Must not use false, misleading or deceptive advertising.
2Must not spam, and must take appropriate actions against any affiliates or any third parties who spam or produce deceptive and/or deliberately false or misleading advertising.
3Will not text or call players on their phones without explicit permission. And this form of aggressive advertising must cease immediately upon request.
4Will not entice players to reverse cash withdrawals with bonuses or other incentives.
5Must not market or otherwise distribute player e-mail addresses and/or phone numbers.

Similar to our operational standards, we also expect casinos to take a fair approach to their marketing practices and promotional offers, without any attempts to take advantage of players or prey on problem gamblers.

Affiliate Marketing Standards

1Must not cross promote to other properties without giving proper credit to affiliates and/or their advertisers.
2Must not implement retroactive terms and conditions to their affiliate programs without opening up a dialogue with the affiliate and discussing other options.

This is less about players and more about Casinomeister. The site doesn’t run on air, so honest affiliate marketing policies are also a must for any casino that wishes to become Accredited.

Baptism By Fire (BBF) — Casinomeister Accreditation Process

If a casino meets all our requirements and wishes to become Accredited, they have to go through our vetting process — the Baptism by Fire, or BBF for short.

By default, the trial period lasts for 60 days. However, it can be shortened to 30 days in one of two scenarios:

  • The casino has been in business and known to us for over 2 years with a clean track record, or
  • The casino already has at least one Accredited sister site.

During the Baptism by Fire, players from our forum are encouraged to play at the casino, share their experiences, and reach out to the casino rep with questions or issues.

If the overall impressions are positive and the casino meets all our standards during this period, they become fully Accredited at Casinomeister.

Remaining Accredited at Casinomeister

Passing the Baptism by Fire is one thing, but keeping the Accreditation is another. Any casino can lose its Accredited status and it can happen for a number of reasons, though it usually comes down to:

  • Their standards falling,
  • The forum rep going inactive,
  • Mishandling of player complaints.

As a rule of thumb, if a casino loses their Accreditation, they have to go through the process again to restore their status. However, we prefer to handle these rare situations on a case-by-case basis —  an isolated instance of mismanagement is treated much differently than a casino flat-out going rogue.

What is a Casino Rep and What Do They Do?

Casinomeister is not just a website — it’s also the world’s largest iGaming forum

The idea of casino reps in the forums can be traced back all the way to the early 2000s, when iGaming professionals voluntarily signed up so they could interact with players and resolve issues quickly.

Today, any casino that wishes to register a designated rep in the forum is free to do so, Accredited or not. However, any casino that wishes to be Accredited must maintain an active rep.

In short, a casino rep is there for several reasons:

  • To answer player questions,
  • To expedite complaints resolutions,
  • To engage with the community and build trust and transparency.

If you need to get in touch with a rep, simply send them a private message and feel free to tag them in relevant conversations.

To find out who the rep is, simply check the Customer Support tab in the casino’s review card. You’ll see a field called Forum Representative, with a link to the rep’s forum profile. You can also see the iGaming reps section in the forums.

Important Tip

If you come forward with a complaint, please refrain from using abusive language and don’t direct your anger at reps. Simply contact them with your problem and it will likely be resolved quickly. And if things don’t go well, you can always submit a complaint via our free casino complaints service.

Why We Have a Rigorous Casino Vetting Process at Casinomeister

When Casinomeister was founded, the online gambling market was in its “Wild West” phase, much like the rest of the internet. Finding reliable online gambling sites wasn’t easy, as there was less regulation and online casino scams were uncharted territory.

Casinomeister introduced the first Accredited casinos in 2002, with the simple goal of creating a shortlist of trustworthy and legitimate online casinos. Fast forward 20+ years later, and the industry is much different. Some of our policies have shifted to reflect that, but a simple fact remains: sketchy casinos aren’t going away any time soon

In fact, the market can be even more difficult to navigate today. Scammers get more creative as time goes on, many shady operators find various loopholes to exploit, and new casino sites are popping up virtually every day.

As such, we continue to maintain strict requirements and a community vetting process to help players find the very best casinos to play at.

If you’re a casino operator and are hoping to build a player base based on transparency and trust, why not give the Baptism by Fire a go?

If the process goes smoothly, you’ll likely rank higher on top lists, and you’d get more reach with your promotions through the “CM Accredited Casino Exclusive Promotions” section in our forum.

Despite the high standards, we’ve had relatively few casinos fail the Baptism by Fire over the years, usually because of the rep going inactive.

Casinomeister Seal of Accreditation

If a casino is Accredited at Casinomeister, you might see our Seal of Accreditation in the footer of their site, along with their license certificate and other logos and seals of approval.

Casinomeister Accredited Casinos Seal for dark blue backgrounds full color

We don’t require Accredited casinos to display the Seal of Accreditation, so don’t be alarmed if you don’t see it — if they’re listed as Accredited on Casinomeister, they’re Accredited.

On that note, if you do see the Seal of Accreditation at an online casino before reading our review, do take a moment to verify its legitimacy. Simply check where it leads if you click it, and search our casino reviews to confirm we really list them as Accredited.

Understanding Casinomeister’s Casino Categories

All casinos listed on Casinomeister fall into one of the following categories:

  • Accredited,
  • Neutral,
  • Grey Zone,
  • Not Recommended, or
  • Rogue.

Neutral Zone casinos are better than the name might imply at a glance. These are usually established sites that meet most (or even all) of our standards, but they just didn’t go through the Accreditation process for whatever reason. At the end of the day, they’re good places to play at.

Grey Zone casinos are, as the name implies, in a grey area. We usually recommend caution with these sites, as things could go either way. Most casinos we review end up in this category for a while, unless we know it’s a reliable operator.

Not Recommended is a casino category that lists sites you’ll likely want to avoid. They’re not necessarily scams but casinos end up here if they’re just too sketchy for our liking: too many unresolved complaints, questionable policies, unfair terms, etc.

Rogue casinos are sites to avoid, period. This category includes proven scams, illegal casinos, and sites that deliberately engage in predatory practices with the intention to take advantage of players.

How We Rate Casinos

Before a casino can apply to become Accredited, it is reviewed by our in-house team of online gambling experts. Here’s a quick look at Casinomeister’s rating system:

FAQs

Do casinos pay extra to be listed as Accredited?

Absolutely not. Accredited casinos are all reviewed based on objective criteria and they all get the same treatment — they have to meet our Accreditation standards and pass the vetting process in our forum.

The only time a casino “gets it easier” is if they have an Accredited sister casino or if they’ve maintained a good reputation and have been known to us for at least 2 years. In these scenarios, the vetting process is shortened from 60 to 30 days but everything else remains unchanged.

How do I contact a casino rep?

To contact a rep, you can message them directly in the forum or tag them in a thread where relevant. To find the rep for the casino you’re playing at, see the review card at the start of a casino review, click the Customer Support tab. You’ll find the link to the rep’s forum profile in the Forum Representative field.

The casino rep is not responding, what do I do?

Keep in mind that reps aren’t available around the clock — they might not work weekends, or they might be temporarily away with no one filling in. However, if you notice an Accredited casino rep has been absent for over a week, feel free to let the moderators know and we’ll look into it.

The casino rep didn’t resolve my issue, what now?

If you’re unable to reach a satisfactory resolution with the rep, you can always open a complaint through our PAB service, and someone from our complaints team will help you get the issue sorted.
