New Slot Announcement Elephant King by IGT

No prizes for where the inspiration came from here - sometimes the cover version is better than the original though!

Hopefully this shows up at the IGT-loving PlayOLG.ca.

They do have some good slots such as Stinkin’ Rich, Cleopatra Plus, Dragon’s Temple and Prowling Panther but they refuse the bring in WMS, the people at AGCO refuse to listen to their critics and can’t even keep their site stable. I hate living in Ontario.

Sometimes the RTG is 50%, sometimes it’s even Santa’s Wild Ride bad.

Yep, 4 free spins up top loads of times and yet no stampede...just tons of boring dead spins...just another of those rub the nose in your loss slots.

This interests me... which game do you think this is a rip-off of? If you say egg-omatic I’d have to disagree. Also it’s interesting that you guys have had a bad experience as it’s one of our most successful games in land based... although I admit I haven’t played the internet version yet...

Yep, it's Smeg-O-Matic with a few changes. You have double the lines, the same stacked symbols, same mechanic, but to make up for the lower base game volatility you have only got FS possible on reels 1,3,5 in the base game. The only significant difference is the lack of expanding wilds on the prize rail at the top.

At least you cannot be accused of hooky free mode - it plays just as shit in real money as demo apparently!

I'm sure the interactive guys would have left it very similar to the original

...and sweet jesus its terrible, 500 spins on £1.50, no free spins, 2 "big wins" which were crap....JUNK

The Free Spins are rare but the average pay is high on them...

Looks good to be fair but given what I've read on here, not one for the low roller / those with limited budget?

Yeah, the minimum stake is high... but its not super volatile. The bonus is, but the base game isn't so it should kill you... (if they haven't changed the original maths)

would not say the bonus is great , to be fair only hit it once & like i pointed out 10 free spins & only one stampede ,im quite sure it was not a dazzling feature either , heres where you guys do it wrong , feature again sucks people are going to chase the feature hit then never return , why don't you producers listen to the customers? produce a slot if it has a feature mode to pay something nothing worst than doing hundreds of spins hitting & getting a poultry win , not going to make you go back is it , i have a list of games never to return too due to this play , your base game however isnt as bad as i first thought.

Well we can only go so far with features right... we can't rig then, so even if we make something happen often (I.e every other spin), in ten spins it's possible to get it once. Or even not at all.

I always try a couple of features on games before I make my mind up... unless the potential just can't be seen (I.e there is no obvious benefit)

Try one more feature and see how you feel. If you still feel the same then fair enough - but like I say, this game has done well for us in most places in retail. I know that does not in any way guarantee success online though...

Smelly Pants Sting for me too...few hundred spins @ £1.75 and £2.25 while wagering, no free spins in sight.

In fact I am staying away from IGT lately, few days ago Cleopatra Bonus on £2 paid like £15, Bonus on Silent Movie £3 paid like £11 and Pharaoh's Fortune x3 multi 13 spins on £2 paid naff all like £10, everytime I have played them lately the common theme is base game rip poor bonus payouts. Have better luck with Blueprint and Play 'n Go, Microgaming, BTG, WMS etc.

it looks different in a good way but its also the first slot video where i did not understand anything about the gameplay (how to get the Prizes / Freespins above the reels ??)---> so learning by doing/playing but that preview looks nice to me just from watching.

thx for the video @ dunover

Pretty much like Egg Omatic by Netent or Rabbit In the Hat by Microgaming.

I think they might have, I played it a bit the other day, after 200 spins at min stake (75p) I had less than £40 left from the start of £150, and that included the massive 5x stake win from the free spins I got.

Having said that I thought stuff it and just played through after that and got back up to slightly over my starting balance, but my first 100 spins returned an RTP of around 15%, and its soooo boring having to click click click, all this time later and IGT still don't allow autospin.

I won't be back I'm afraid, I would have possibly to try again if autospin was available, but not a chance without it.

I too am frustrated with the lack of autospin...

You should bring it up regularilier :)

Imo the worst offender is the latest SG Zeus slot, where not only you don't have autospin but you also have to wait 2-3 seconds every time you win 1/4 of your stake

Yeah I love that game design and maths... had a £1100 win off the free spins the other day... But the win animation is super annoying.

Yes i tryed it too now. Its fun to play also Sound & Graphics are 1+ but the disapointing cames straight when you realise that yoú not being paid out the way it should -.- whats for me most importantly.

:( was hoping that its all perfect but its not.

Its like you drives a Porsche with a 45 PS Motor

Hands up if you have actually met the elephant king?

I have once and hated the fact that the reels shook as soon as the spin started. A full x9 win.

Now the big question,...
Has anyone EVER had the elephant king on the free spin reel?

At 75p minimum bet and such high variance it’s NOT a game for us commoner low rollers....

The base game has killed me every time (played 4 times at various casinos with roughly £50 per time). But I’m an unlucky gambler I guess x

I do love the concept and am drawn to play... but have learnt it’s too dangerous for me xx

It's not that high variance... The biggest problem really is the minimum bet. It means that without good bankroll it will feel high variance..

Danger Danger HIGH Voltage , when come and when we rock

I've played this with my own money now and i'm as sure as i can be that the maths are very similar, if not the same, as the original game... I think the interactive team have actually done a good job of porting this game. I admit the minimum bet is high even for me, but aside from that i think it captures the original well.

Haha....I have (land based and online)....and the only thing truely elephanty about it was the size of the turd it left me :-)

Seriously. What a poor game. Definitely looks better on land based (don't they always) but that's about the only positive I can find. The slot tracker stats tell you everything you need to know about IGT slots.

Dunover needs to give this another review, one of the worst of the year so far, it is now unplayable...so slow and keeps crashing. JUST SHUT THE PIECE OF CRAP DOWN IMO.

Yes, in hindsight it is shit. If you want an even worse one, try their new Wishwood when it comes out, it's awful. I would've posted a video review but it kept crashing so I gave up!

TIP!

IGT, do NOT make slots with 5 reels and 4 rows that have only 20 lines! It looks and feels STOOOOPID!

Yep im not alone then. it kept crashing on me too Wishwood did. But in all honesty I like wishwood. It has some nice features. The hold feature is nice!

So, I played this slot a bit when I first saw it and actually really liked it. Graphics are great, and I seemed to get decent enough wins on a regular basis. Apparently the impending stampede noise puts some people off, but I loved that and found it very satisfying.

The minimum stake is a bit much for me to play it a lot, but that's a minor problem compared to the fact that it disables clicking with a mouse on my laptop because of the touchscreen, and doesn't even make up for it with autoplay. If some study showed slot devs that they got the most engagement when forcing someone to lean over their desk and poke their screen repeatedly I would politely suggest that they redo the research. In the meantime this is just another slot that won't let me play it because I happen to own a vaguely modern device.

Yes, an IGT issue unfortunately and it happens at any casinos - use a touchscreen PC and it thinks you're on a mobile device.

I tried this slot on Friday for the first time, I didn't give me anything from the top but i got a decent hit in the base game.

After this hit i came off with a little profit because my balance was about £360 when i started playing the slot, I noticed on the bet size i was doing a full screen of elephants would have paid £400.

I might try the slot again and see if i can trigger the free spins, I just don't like that the slot is 40 lines but min bet is 75p.

I'm in nose bleed territory for minimum bet size on this, but nearly a month in and still no f*****g free spins yet!

So it's 40 lines and yet again as with all recent IGT slots I am paying extra to fund the feature (nearly double in this case).
So for every 100 spins I'm contributing £35 and returning an average of £10-£15 on that rare telegraphed feature.

Pay for the bonus is the biggest con going!

I know I'm not paying for the free spins in this one but it's following the same trend as other IGT slots.
Why do they have this need to pay extra for the free spins or any feature ,usually 0.5 of bet size or higher?

Similar slots 'Eggomatic' or 'Rabbit in the Hat' pay more often and there's no extra bet.

You're lucky to see a feature within 200 spins on these IGT slots and when you do 9 out of 10 pay 10-20x bet, rarely top 100xbet and 500x+ is just a fairytale.

Cleopatra was the exception but again they changed the maths, just like Net-Ent did with Doa;)

Golden Knight's the same, a complete ball- breaker with an 80p bet size although you can halve that if you......don't want to win anything of note.

Features are fairly hard to get but not much worse than other providers. It just feels worse, give the inevitable pummeling one's bankroll endures
