3i/Atlas has been in the news quite a bit this year. Prof. Avi Loeb (Harvard) has pointed out that there are so many anomalies that he believes there is a chance the comet may be technological in nature. Whilst this is a SMALL chance, the professor insists we should be open to the possibility.
Due to the government shutdown, NASA was unable to provide any imagery on the object. The world waited in anticipation, and once the shutdown ended, we only received fuzzy images from NASA. Recently, a Canadian astrophotographer, Paul Craggs, used a budget telescope to capture the best photos of 3i/Atlas from his backyard (I assume).
The crux of the matter - What's your opinion on the 3i/Atlas saga - Comet or Not? Is NASA hiding the imagery it has?
