Ok I know there have been similar threads but omg what on earth is up with these very poor bonus offers. It's taking the p**s now - I feel like I am being treated like an idiot. Here is the offer today from casino room:

It’s time for the January Sales. Deposit with the code enclosed in this mail to get a 25% bonus up to £500! Not only that, when you deposit using this code you’ll be entered into a prize draw where you can win an extra £10! There are 20 prizes of £10 each to be won in total

Beat the rush with our January Sale!

Casino Room Team

Offer is valid until 04/01/2017 23:59 UTC. The 25% bonus carries a 45x wagering requirement and you have 3 days to complete the wagering requirements. 20 winners will be selected at random and will receive the £10 bonus within 72 hours of the end of the promotional period and will be notified via Casino Room inbox. The £10 bonus carries a 1x wagering requirement and can be used on any bonus game of your choice and you have 3 days to complete the wagering requirements.

The bonus can only be wagered on specific bonus games which are mainly selected net ent games. I play at this casino from time to time and they are ok but damn what a rubbish bonus and wagering. The Wow over being put in a prize draw for £10 takes the biscuit!

Most other casinos are not offering much better to be honest! Just an easy way to lose your money!

Be careful with Bonuses!
It is  crucial  that you understand and agree to the terms and conditions of any bonus that you accept. Most of the complaints that come through our arbitration service are bonus related; it would be safe to say that there are tens of thousands of players who have never complained because they realized after the fact that they did not understand or had never read the terms. Nothing in a casino is free – so whenever you see “free” being used, there are stipulations. It is important for you to understand that.

Please check out our Bonus Section that lists the offers given by our Accredited Casinos. No deposit bonuses, welcome bonuses (AKA sign up bonuses [SUBs]), exclusive bonuses, reload bonuses, free spin bonuses...all this and more!
I thought with the Christmas and New year out of the way I would have woken to a flood of emails, an array of offers, casinos wanting cash to get 2017 off to a flying start....

Nope just the same one you got from Casino Room and that's it all day! - Not even any spam from Lucky 24/7 which is a shocker

Was hoping for a few ND Free spins (above and beyond VS, places I was loyal to in 2016 etc) but nope, nothing, nader, nowt :(

Got the right rattle here for a punt but got to hold off on deposits until work picks up / income improves :( :(

Got a feeling this year will be worst than last (which I think you'll agree we all felt was pretty darn bad)

Tight gits :p

What i have seen today, some might not have UK license.

Play Frank - 50% deposit bonus
Betsson - Wager $10 on any slot, get 10FS on 7 Sins (worse than having 10FS on Starshite)
Trada: Deposit $30, get 50FS on Atari Black Widow
Casino Cruise - erm, erm.... daily deposit bonus for the first 17 days of 2017. must check your banking lobby how much it is
Casino Luck / Next / WildSlots - 50% monthly reload
Energy - 50% weekly reload (WR 30x D+B!!!)
Vera&John - Mystery Gift in the shop for 300 coins
32Red - 25% up to $50
Mr. Green - spin 30 times on Red Riding Hood, get 10 Free Spins on Warlords ..... good lord, can't get much worse

Ah yes you jogged my memory there Harry!

Got a 75% + 20FS from Casino Cruise, strange thing is I'm supposedly BB'ed there :confused::confused:

Wouldn't trust em these days anyway, one too many negative / slow pay threads for my liking ;)

Well, worse for me.... i am on their "toxic countries" list, so i can't even see the offer but they still send me emails. ....unsubscribed a gazillion times but as usual that never helps.

A 25% bonus with 45x wagering is staggeringly bad. Sometimes I wonder why casinos would persist with these types of offers, but then realize that somebody out there is taking them, most likely new players.

I doubt I had more than 10-15 "100%" reloads throughout 2016, not helped by 32Red's dicking about with their legendary friday dishes.

I expect 2017 to be a vintage year, where casinos will be falling over themselves to outdo each other in how to give players as little as is feasibly possible, so.....

....watch out for upcoming 5% reloads galore :eek2:

LOL goatie :D

Found one today that comes very close but only - quote Dunover - Cup-o-Cocoa license.

Lucky 31 Casino: Wednesday & Friday - 10% deposit bonus up to $1,000 with WR 1x D+B! 1x is right, not a typo! :D

And not only that you can only play selected games!!

Honestly - this kind of offer puts me right off the casino altogether

No offers anywhere worthy of a deposit!

This is the time where new casino's as well as casino's that are new to you hope to take advantage of your bonus seeking. I am determined to resist.

I don't think self control will be an issue Colin with these God awful bonuses. Well I am more pleased than ever that I chose now to take a break from depositing at all casinos. Really there is nothing out there to tempt me! And after that disaster free spins rounds on Guts I am glad no casinos are getting any money from me for at least a month anyway at any rate.

Maybe you have misunderstood the point I was making? New casino's to you become more attractive to join because of their "attractive" sign up bonuses.
For me sign up bonuses are what keep the average and the damn right awful casino's not just alive but thriving. If your usual haunts are not offering much to those at a time of year when many are short of cash they may look to find a deal somewhere new

I have received an email from Chance Hill 75% reload up to $100 not bad.

The worst one was receiving 100 free spins from Royal Panda won $60 and silly me kept playing the $60 bonus and got up to $500.

Then I realised I have to deposit to meet wagering so I deposited $50 which cost me extra 20 because account is in USD and won nothing on real money so I only wagered 184.

Decided to deposit another $30 win nothing again in real money so I was back playing with bonus money again and wagering is not counted

I am down to $50 bonus money and have no idea how to wager it lol

When I play with bonus money I win on every game getting the features and all so I deposit and not even a small win. That's my luck :(

Free spins should be free and no wagering like at Video Slots, Thrills and Rizk.

Not only did I misunderstand you it went right over my head:o I am always quite nervous signing on to new casinos unless they get the CM or trusted CM members approval. I need to save money anyway;)

I think over all what we are seeing with the "main" bulk of casinos that are licensed in Europe is a slow but steady decline and end to the traditional deposit bonus. Its been in the offing for a few years now. Its what casinos will replace this with which will be interesting over the next few years. Already we are seeing inroads with cash backs. races, point systems. And this I am hoping will only continue to become more advanced and more inline with a players deposit / bet patterns. Those Casinos that dont embrace this and hang on to the more traditional "promos" will find themselves trailing. I know many here love playing on a bonus and so do if its 150 to 200% even with insane ratio just for the challenge. Other than that - I am all but bonus free these days. Apart from 1 time a month at Sky vegas. and the odd 100% that bellfruit throws out like 1 time every 3 months ;)

I think we have to get used to the idea that we will see less and less offers in the way of straight depo bonuses ... and so need to be more choosy as to where we play and for whats on offer in the way of cash back, points and so on.

2017 could be a really interesting year when it comes to player intensives!

In my view you have 4 types of casinos nowadays:

2. Bonus, bonus, bonus - high wagering, endless and restrictive T&C's, cap on winnings, e.g. Nektan = 4x bonus amount. Others are Caddell, Cassava, ProgressPlay, Tain etc.

These casinos are probably the least profitable ones as they concentrate on the bonus hunters. That is also the reason they keep dishing out skin after skin as that group of players keeps moving on after the bonuses have been taken. They need constantly "fresh blood" as their margins are highly diminished by the bonus offers. Hence, also why they have limits on winnings from bonuses & Free Spins, pending periods etc. --> it reduces the financial risk.

2. Regular Bonus offers - standard wagering 30-40x B - these will die out rather sooner than later or become less frequent or have lower percentages as it costs the casinos too much money at the end of the day.

3. Rather rare bonus offers - withdrawals possible if bonus funds are not touched, wagering with bonus funds only or with both. This type has become more common lately as more casinos adopt this strategy, e.g. Betat, Slotty etc. Give less frequent but more player friendly.

4. No wager bonuses but other innovative player rewards systems as VS, Rizk - these will be the way forward because they work on the psychological level where the player gets rewarded for an achievement --> dopamine rush ..... they are taking the players on a "journey" type loyalty trail that ensures that they come back...call it levels, camps, belts, tiers, trophies or whatever.

These casinos are the most profitable as the "rewards" are given ONLY if the players are wagering (= profit for the casino) and are frequently in the casino. At the same time it is the best choice for players who can't be bothered with WR, shitty T&C's, capped winnings ....list not complete.

You all know which one is my choice. :D

I used to take the full monthly reload bonuses at CL/Next ever since i registered with them, stopped even those, think the last one was in September. I rather play only half the time with my own money than having to read T&C's for an hour before starting to play.

I know which one im in Number 4 ... and agree with your points above. Also certainly on the psychological level humans like "reward systems" ... these are used in many ways ... and much more so online anything from points for posting to getting internal rewards on your Fit Bit for doing your 25 steps  and so casinos more so than any other business can really tap into that, because the gamblers mind is already totally open and wanting those "rewards" - VS for example are working this out as are others slowly .... the quick fix of the 100% bonus is now destroyed with pages of terms, ridiculous wagering and when you don't beat the win ratio it feels crap. Even worse you get to 98% and you bust out. Not good for anyone in the long run.

Changes are already in the offing and we need to adapt to them. !

Agree with the comments here. I thought the Christmas bonuses were bad, but everything seems to have more or less dried up at the 9 or 10 casinos I play at.

The notable exceptions are-

-32 Red who are still offering the dish of the day (disguised as the 31 days of Christmas over the holiday period) but the 100% hasn't been seen for weeks and I can only recall one 50% over the last month or so
-Royal Panda's Friday Bamboo bonus is still good.
-Next's monthly 50% is still there (23x D+B)
-Betspin's Thursdays 40% double deal deposit bonus

Casumo used to offer me free spins and deposit bonuses up to 80% twice a week, but all I see are deposit free spin offers now. It may be because I'm well in profit with them so it would be interesting to hear if others are experiencing the same.

I won't touch Energy's weekly deposit bonus due to the high wagering (30x D+B!)

As for Trada, the 25% cashback in £2 increments based on wagering is ok, but I've got well over £1k cash back pending which will take me an age to clear!

Chris

BGO are still good with their 100% on a Fridays

Small correction Next, CasinoLuck and Wildslots all have 13xD+B WR for their monthly 50% bonus :)

I usually have to make a straight cash deposit each week, to get the twice weekly 80% at Casumo :)

I've seen that comment about Casumo now many many times. It's not true you don't get any for being up.
The simple reason is that you have to remain active. If you stop making deposits promotions are changing. It can take a week or two but they will change.
Start playing again and you will get them back.

I would think it's the same for a lot of casinos. Maybe they rather give to those who remain active than those who just visit when they get a special offer.

In the most friendly way possible I will have to disagree with this Sara :(

I got these 80%'s regular and was depositing still 2-3 times a week which I see as reasonably active!

Most of my Casumo deposits (granted a while back now) were cash only.

I then got a few decent (well decent for a small fish like me) withdrawals, may just be a coincidence but these 80%'s did not take long to disappear.

My activity was still unchanged, in fact at one point I'd go as far to say Casumo saw the bulk of my weekly gaming budget/allowance for a long time yet still only pathetic offers such as 10p Spins on Book of Dead, Starburst, Spinions etc.

Truth is I couldn't say exactly what the qualifying criteria is but I'd say from personal experience its not activity based. Hands on knowledge over all these years would err me to lean more towards the profit / loss scenario.

Chris[/QUOTE]

depo 25 at Betspin last thursday for the double deal to receive an extra 10 bonus only to find out that the wagering was depo + bonus 1225 :eek2: plus the 100 free spins i received over the next 4 days were worth 5p each . Needless to say wont be taking that deal again. Own fault for not reading t+c but if something sounds too good to be true...................

I have the opposite experience and are up several thousand there. I can see a clear pattern from week to week if I'm playing or not, so I guess we have to agree to disagree about Casumo.

January has always been empty on offers from everywhere, and that is not so strange. Our pockets are usually empty too that month so I clearly get why offers aren't the best now.
Honestly though a straight deposit in a fast paying casino is the best choice anyone can make.

Yes, come to think of it the other week when I took the Thursday bonus I had a good winning streak and checking my remaining wagering found it was still nearly £4k, needless to say I lost it all before I cashed out. If it is indeed 35x D+B it's a worse deal than with Energy!

Chris

Probably true, though the bonuses do extend your play time, however it's also probably true that bonuses ultimately benefit the casinos rather than the players!

Chris

Why is 25% bonus with 45x wagering seen as so bad ? It's no different as 100% match with 45x wagering is it ? I know 45x is quite high but casinoroom are a decent casino imo . Yes you can only play netent with a bonus but at least you know where you are re: excluded games

Say I deposit £100 and get £25 bonus . It's just the £25 bonus that is x45 so £1125 of wagering to complete

Anyway it's adding 2.2% to your rtp IF you complete wagering because 25/1125 = 0.022 . And if you lose more quickly then you technically got a higher benefit from the bonus because wagering zeroes once your balance is lost

If you are going to play anyway and probably wager that amount anyway then it's fine , right ? Only sucks for someone who hits big and then wants to withdraw but can't . Mind you , I work from the standpoint that it is inevitable I am going to gamble , probably for hours , so it may as well be with a bonus :p Cashing out just means I get to redeposit somewhere else

You mention Nektan in no.1 BUT Nektan bonuses are seperate real money and bonus funds like no.3 . So you can deposit and play with real money first and if you win you can cashout and just forfeit the bonus amount . Bonus wagering only begins once you have lost all your real money . The 4x cap isn't great but at least your funds only get locked up when it's all bonus money anyway . Then you just try to meet wagering and if you get something out of it then it is a bonus because you already lost your real money deposit anyway . And yes they have lots of sites and welcome offers . I think it's a reasonable option once you have exhausted the welcome bonuses from the best sites out there

As you say, bonuses have always been ideal for longer sessions as most intend to stick around on the slots for a while. I think my record probably stands at 16 hours straight though I could be wrong, it was all a bit of a haze :o

Yet when it comes to deposits, I'd have to make it worthwhile to accept a bonus, and 25% isn't that, especially if already depositing a small fortune in £100! :o:o

The wagering may not be extortionate but it's still way too much of a commitment for an extra £25, even when lowrolling. Far better to have the extra 50-100% to play around with and start doing crazy bets like 40 or 60p

But I respect that everyone has their preferences so whatever works for people

Yeh I would take the 100% over the 25% every time of course but essentially it's the same because 100% will give you quadruple the WR compared to the 25%

If they offered a 1% bonus then you'd def want to take it because that would come with £45 wagering on a £100 deposit . Noone in the history of slots playing has ever deposited £100 and tried to cashout before wagering £45 :D

So that makes me think that low % bonuses aren't necessarily bad . It's just proportionate . Of course , a low % bonus might not be enough to entice you to deposit at casino X when you can probably get a bigger bonus at casino Y but that doesn't make the bonus at casino X "bad" . Maybe I'm talking nonsense haha

sorry if i got it wrong but i read the T&C's of some of their casinos and there is nowhere any mention that you can withdraw prior to meeting the wagering requirements or when you do it before touching the bonus funds.

it only says that wagering is done with bonus funds only.

Yeh 1st time I deposited at JackpotStrike I took the £20 get £80 free . I won straight away and got up to £700 . Checked my balance for WR and it showed Real Money £620 Bonus Funds £80 . So I checked with CS and they said yes you can withdraw the real money and the bonus funds will be forfeited . So I did that and received £620 . Have made 3 similar withdrawals since then

Wagering is done with bonus funds only - Bonus wagering doesn't begin until you have lost your real money and real money is played first so therefore they have to let you withdraw if you win on your real money , otherwise you would be forced to completely lose your real money before you can EVER withdraw :p Also they add the bonus automatically without you claiming anything

I'd say the difference is, that if you'd normally play at, say, 60p spins on a £100 deposit, you're hardly likely to play at 90p on £125 starting balance.
But you might play at 90p with a 50% bonus, starting balance £150.
Or at £1.20 (or more) on a 100% bonus, starting balance £200

So on the 100%, the wagering might be 4x as much as a 25% . But you've got the bankroll to play at double your normal stake. meaning the wagering is effectively only 2x as much, and any big wins, you're lucky enough to get, will be twice as much.

That's the strategy I use. I play at a stake based on my starting balance. Not based on my deposit amount, just to get twice as many spins.

a 25% bonus at 45x WR on £100 is 9x starting balance. which would take 1875 spins at 60p to clear WR.
a 100% bonus at 45x WR on £100 is 22.5x starting balance. But by playing at double the stake, it will only take 3750 spins at £1.20 to clear WR. which is only 2x as many spins for 4x the bonus amount

Looks like I spoke too soon. The 32Red DOTD is 100% today! Welcome back!
