I got a mail today from Casino Club - I'm assuming that it will be all Boss Media casinos....?

The part in bold is what's bugging me - does that mean that pretty soon we won't be able to play anywhere else either?

Looks like your government will be dictating where you'll be able to play. As long as it gets taxed in Canada - you'll be permitted to gamble there.

This is what happens when politicians and corporate lawyers get involved. It has nothing to do with player safety - it's about the money.

No that's because all 3 gambling corporation in Canada will be using the Boss Media software. We will only be able to play on Boss Media with other canadian players.

If someone from Canada decide to play on another Boss skin, no Canadian will play on the new Boss Canadian skin, they just decided to ban Canadians from other Boss skins, it all make sense.

We can still play anywhere else.

Actually if the online casino is run by the OLG I won't be taxed on the winnings. I don't pay tax on lottery or casino winnings here in Ontario. It's more likely they want a monopoly on a specific brand of software.

Gambling at any OLG casino or playing the lotteries is safe. I'm sure the online casino will be just as safe. The odds probably won't be any better but it'll be safe.

I've never played with Boss Media software but I browsed a website today and the slots looked rather bland. They'd probably do better with Playtech or MG.

Paddy Power have just announced they have pulled their Boss Media download casino out of CA too so must be a Boss Media directive.

Rival pulled the plug on us too last year so who knows what's really going on? I'm kind of hoping it's not Boss Media. Like I said, the games don't look very interesting.

Is this Playnow a brand of software? I don't recognize these slot games but they do look more interesing than what I seen at a Boss Media casino's website.

Hopefully other provinces will learn from BC's mistakes.

PlayNow is the provincial government gambling website that has been taken down due to privacy breaches it claims were the result of a technology glitch on the site.

If I remember correctly, the government earlier confirmed that this was not a gambling software glitch but a PlayNow technology hiccough.

I think the (gambling) software you are referring to is Openbet from Orbis Technology.

BTW despite reminders we have yet to receive responses from either Boss or CasinoClub on Canadian players being banned - and that's after the passage of several days.

Something strange going on here, it seems.
