Not too shabby :D

Apparently the download can get up to 900 Mbps but I am not complaining with 769 LOL

The increase in our upload speed though is going to make all the difference though.

I signed up for emails to get sent whenever it would be coming to my postcode. I finally got an email a month or so ago bringing my date up to Dec 2024 from the original Dec 2026. Just in case you signed up for the same emails, was the date it went live around the time they quoted in an email (if you got one).

gagging to get more than 40-50mbps

No more buffering on pornhub, lucky you

The install went very smoothly. All told about 2 hours, with downtime of about an hour. Providers are offering great discounts, but you have to commit to 24 months - but £37 a month is great value. The same as we were paying for Fibre to the Cabinet and a landline phone with free calls. But now we have ditched the landline, as no need for it.

How lucky you all I had full fibre in previous two flats but moved in March and when Openreach turned up he said you do know you can't have full fibre because the council won't let us drill into the wall as they won't let external contractors touch their property, so you will get best alternative and now I am stuck with 34mbps to cope with a smart tv, an ee box and two laptops. Not impressed.

I had a huge dispute with Openreach ended up being nearly 6 months, complaints, letters to MP's, ombudsman. Openreach don't speak to the public so you have to go through BT ended up with a year's free internet ad tv when all the compensation was paid out. All because one party didn't speak to another party.

Oh I agree. The package we were on before was fine 70mb download 20mb upload, for a house of four. But for work when shifting a lot of data, including downloading over 100GB backups, having a dedicated 900mb fibre connection is a god send. Plus you can get deals whereby it is very affordable!
Yeah true, I remember using a friends connection and downloading 15gb blu rays in 2 minutes, on my speeds the same file would take 2 days.

I'm gonna upgrade soon to there next package above for like an extra fiver on top of what i pay now, so it is cheap to upgrade like you say.
