Holland Casino Amsterdam

I played there this year and thought it was OK. Costs 5 euros to get in (photo ID essential, but a casual dress sense is OK) and the staff on reception were OK but I didn't really deal with anyone slse. It's on two floors, but the slots are downstairs - plenty of them too. Smoking rooms to each side so no smoking on the floor. Not as many slots as Vegas obviously but some IGT and other games. I'd guess around 100 machines. Even had Shinobi - one of my favourites and you don't see it very often. A seperate room to the side has video poker and lots of Keno.

The biggest pain is the fact that when you cash out of machines it gives you tokens rather than a slip, so you have to keep grabbing buckets and spend forever feeding them back into other machines. When you cashout at the end though they have machines where you simply tip the bucket in and it pays out the notes so thats easy. Didn't play the table games upstairs though so can't comment. There is a restaurant (not that great and expensive) and a snack bar plus the waitresses bring free drinks round (although rarely LOL).

Overall though, it was much better than I expected - definitely better than most UK casinos in terms of games choice but lacks the atmosphere of a Vegas joint. Typically European I guess.

up untill 8 years ago orso we went to the holland casino every week..and we had often handpayouts and often leaving casino with a profit

but im not lying..for the past 8 years we have not once left the casino with an profit, its always around -1000 euros and sometimes even more,

not only dont we ever leave with an profit, but we hardly ever even get ahead inbetween playing..its just 1 straight line down..every time w eleave the casino im so pissed, cause i feel like im being cheated(but im still so dumb to return thinking im just ona an incredible bad variancestreak)

online we lose and win,but its balanced..but at holland casino ..its terrible

For the record and to balance that, I went 3 nights in a row, played only slots, and came out about 10% down over the 3 nights give or take a few dollars. Had 1 night where I came out ahead and 2 where I came out down. On the two nights I came out down I went up and down all night so could probably have come out slightly up if I'd quit at the right time, but I went there to spend a few hours, not to make a quick profit and leave.

There was one slot that killed me - some IGT slot with whirlwinds and farm animals (cant remember the name) but Cleopatra 2 and Shinobi were in a good mood generally :)

Ok..I tried it out, my hotel was only 5 minutes to walk from the Casino, so I had no real chance not to play there :)

I went in with a low roller budget of 50 EUROs and left after 3 hours of play with 210 EUROs. ( Could have been 380 € but you know the story!)

Staff was friendly but they did not serve any drinks. They have smoking lounges there and those were not much clean. What I did not not like were the tokens, I do not want to exchange my tokens everytime I win or cashout.

The entrance of 5 EUROs is way too high from my opinion, here in Germany I never paid more than 2 €.

nice win :)
and with only 50 euros..wow

so amazing that we always lose around 1k..and really..we never even get in profit, just 1 str8 line down, but we always go to the hollandcasinos in breda/eindhoven

which slots did you play ?

ok thx :)

put jungle wild in my agenda, next time we will try it..
dont think we ever played it before though, name dont sound familiar, maybe they dont have that slot in breda/eindhoven

so weird that we can win online or even in 'jacks casinos"(that is an gambling hall) but at holland casino we always lose

The entrance fee is not relied upon by the Casino. It is merely there to keep the 'undesirables' from entering at free will. Carded members qualify for a host of benefits including free entry.

This is how several casinos operate and is not in specific reference to Holland Casino;)

NaTe

..and the free hot chocolate and coffee there is good :)

I don't know how it's like in Amsterdam, but in Nijmegen you only get free coffee after 2 at night. I got a membership card but if your a low roller the only advantage is the free entrance. You get comps on them, but really not that much. I haven't won there serveral times after winning several times before. Last time a woman next to me on the same machine hit max payout while I was dumping money into it. I got a beer from her though

Ive never played at a land based casinos Yet, So i like to ask fellow players that have. Do you find online casinos or land based casinos payouts better. Ive read some online casinos claming there returns are better than land based. I always wondered if that true.

How can an Online Casino claim their RTP is better when they are clearly not regulated as harshly as the B&M casinos? Can we prove its their actual RTP? We have to go on reputations and monitor them (like here at CM) or else they suddenly turn rogue and run off with your money.

What they say is nothing ... without transparency... B&M Casinos are audited by the respective Licensing jurisdiction.. Some Online Casinos are FAIR (Although very few exist online)… others not so… Ever heard of a Rogue B&M (Apart from Illegal Ones)?

There are a number of threads where RTP and such have been blatantly avoided by Casino reps... Still believe them? :D

Holland casino amsterdam is another example of a stylish gambling parlor. Besides the favorable location gamblers can choose from an impressive number of gambling machines. I have visited holland casino amsterdam on various occasions and it never gets bored. I really like the table games, which add an exciting twist to holland casinos in comparison to other gambling venues in the Netherlands.

I know this is a very old thread I've bumped, but I was thinking I might pay a visit while in Amsterdam.

I know from their website they have switched to tickets from tokens.

Good to know in advance to expect a cover charge. And the booze ain't free (isn't here either).

As for payouts online vs B&M, depends a lot on where you live I supposed. They are pretty low (less than 83% on penny machines) in Ontario.

Ouch, are they really that low? I've been to fallsview quite a few times (Cheap cocktails, comped buffet and the blackjack dealer was lucky haha) but the casinos in the UK rarely fall under 95%.

Holland Casino is considered as one of the better gambling estabilishment(s) in holland. If your close, take a go. They do require identification and for new guests i think a 5 euro entrance. I used to be a VIP there; cant complain. Note that parking in Q park nearby could be expensive.

Slots are great, table games as well. Food is good.

You are correct. This is a nice casino, smoking area inside, WMS sections so the Rhino can rape you all night, Novo sections and IGT to name but a few. You do have to queue to get your 5euro annual membership card when you go in, but if you go there again within 12 months you are fine using it for quicker entry thereafter. There's also a smaller Merkur casino located on Spui? or a parallel street you can hop right off the tram next to.

HC amsterdam is great a pretty big one i mostly go to HC Utrecht also a big one! no there company is great offering lot of great slots good food and nice beers! and a really good atmosphere there! i always feel comfortable there! also smoking area is great indeed!

I went to this casino a few years back when I was on a business trip.

Yes, food and general establishment was good, although I had issues on the roulette table. I went with my boss and thought it would be good to have a flutter, so joined him on this table. A few wagers in, I had a winner and expected a payout. I waited, and waited, then they opened the table to new bets. I was like 'hello, where are my winnings please?'. They had paid out my win to someone else who then left the table. They refused to pay me out citing all wins had been paid. As my boss was there, it wasn't as though I could kick off and embarrass myself so left. I do not usually play roulette, so wasn't sure of all the rules, but I had 100% won just didn't get the chips.

I have bin to almost every HC in Holland there is. The biggest is Rotterdam, with 24 hours openingstimes lol. You can get lost in there. There's a new 24 hours in Amsterdam as well; but i have'nt bin there. I live in the southern of Europe now and that one (estoril) is what is called big. It's the biggest in Europe with over 1300 machines lol.
