Hello everyone who reads this post.

I'm hoping your can point me in the right direction. This is about a competitons page that sells tickets into draw to win cash prizes (best way i can think of to describe this)

They are registered with companies house. They are NOT registered with the gambling commission. They have advertised themselves in facebook groups such as PIP/DLA. Autism awareness and SEN.

This said group states they raise funds for SEN (no one has seen proof of any such donations made to SEN charities. Baring in mind they are NOT a registered charity either. They encourage people to buy tickets into their online gaming. You pay by debit card or credit card ( baring in mind it is illegal to accept payments from credit cards for gambling purposes)

They openly claim they don't encourage you gamble more than you can afford but yet allowed someone to spend £50k on a credit card (with NO wins of any kind) despite the person begging them to block her account etc they ignored all requests. They delete all comments that calls them out when they BIG wins are won by their employees (chat hosts) partners/friends etc.

Now for the question. Can anyone have any recourse to get their money returned to them for the fact they have portrayed saliciously and for all Intents and purposes to basically make themselves rich. Facebook have closed their page down. But they still operate from their Web page.

I have researched this and found... Money could potentially be reclaimed via the bank as the page has been found to be set up as scam purely for monetary gain. Secondly as they are taking money for tickets by card and credit cards and openly stating they are a gambling page but are NOT registered with the gambling commission. They fact that people have paid an unregulated company under UK law a full refund should be given under the regators new rules which came into force recently.

If you need more info or the name of company please let me know. I havent named them here yet as I couldn't remember if I am allowed to do that or not.

I'm not sure i'm allowed to name them which is why I havent. If I can be given clarification that I csn name them, then I shall 😀 I just don't want to get kicked out of the group 😀

You won't get kicked out of here if that's what you mean, as long as you are truthful.

I'm truthful :) check out trustpilot and facebook chaotic competitions beware :)

The website name is chaotic.co.uk formerly known as chaoss.co.uk also formerly known as Jackson Jackpots. Facebook has closed down their facebook pages. The owner of said companies is Shanna Kennedy. She uses the guise as a competitions page but tells players "this is what gambling is. You win some, you lose some" She deletes comments that calls her out. Her own staff are the ones winning Jackpots including friends. She's been taking money via credit cards and bank transactions. Gambling using a credit card is illegal. She does not do verification checks. All she cares about is getting you pay her for something she isn't going to be paying back..She reels people in by using charities such as SEN autism. She advertised for players on PIP/DLA groups. Baring in mind shenis NOT charity registered or registered with the gambling commission.

The argument around whether or not credit cards can be used to enter the "comptitions" all depends on whether the overall competition would be considered a game of skill or a game of pure chance. Most competition sites get around this by asking a question/askin gsomeone to work out a maths problem etc. (to be a fair game of skill, it can't be an answer that's so easy a three year old could get it right, but it does not have to be so taxing that need to be on the genius scale).

Quite a few "competition" sites have managed to get themselves in trouble, others continue to do what they do. If you haveserious concerns, I would suggest complaining to the UKGC and they can investigate/make a decision on whether what the site is offering comes under the games of skill/chance banner.

Company checks out on companies house etc.

This is there format. No questions just some random numbers attached to a scratch off
