Not sure how this will be taken here, but here it is anyhow. I think it is a fair question.

How often are the casino reviews updated by websites that post casino reviews? From what I see customers of some casinos have totally different perspectives than what a lot of casino review sites post. I realize that reviewer sites do make a commission from the casinos but …

I also notice that when scrolling through the comments section from some reviews, I see the opening syntax from many are near identical. Almost like a form letter. Same person, different avatar, but writing nearly the same comments over and over, maybe?

Anyhow, let's take the one below one for example. And I have been a customer there and concur with the poor rating. The live chat does not work. Zero response from email support about problems with their site/games, etc. I just gave up on them.

Hi, the reviews as far as I am aware are in the process of being updated as well as new casino reviews being added. One area that will be looked at in 2026 is the ratings system, which I believe is due an overhaul.

However, the forum is the best place on the site to ascertain how a casino is perceived by the forum membership. We have a rep for PlayOJO who is active on the forum - @EGO

Hey Webzcas, thanks. I like to play the slots but with so many new casinos popping up it seems to be harder to find a casino with integrity. Some of the older ones seem to know every trick in the book on how to seperate the unsuspecting from their cash and in questionable ways. I wonder how they even keep their credentials. Have a good day.

The reviews and rating system is outdated. I'm still not sure how Winz is rated number one. The casino has gone downhill and their rep is non existent on here. They actually don't give a shit.

There should be a requirement that casino's ranked in the top 5 have a casino rep who is actually reliable and is part of the casinomeister community. All British is way better than Winz.

Winz shouldn't even be ranked a 9 let alone 9.6

Its hard to encourage users to post views for casinos etc, multiple sites pay members for written reviews of slots/sites they have played on.

Thanks everybody for the replies. To be fair to the reviewers, with what seems like a million new casinos popping up everyday they would need an army to keep up with monitoring them all. It might have been easier in the days before the market became flooded with online casinos.
I believe SkillOnNet has over 30casinos alone. I wonder if anybody really knows just how many online casinos there are now. 🤔

You want to see how many sites ProgressPlay and AGCommunications have 🤣

It would be pretty easy here in the UK. Almost everything would be in at least the Grey Zone due to terrible RTPs. And Skill On Net I wouldn't touch with a barge pole as a whole brand.

@maxd - do the results of a PAB have a direct and immediate impact on a casino’s rating on CM (assuming the PAB concluded fowl play by the casino in question)?
Max is on his hols now until the New Year. But yes, if a casino gets a Casiniomeister Warning or is ultimately Rogued as a direct result of a PAB, then yep, it has a negative impact on a casino's rating.

However, I must stress the Rating System as it stands is something we hope will be given a much needed overhaul in the New Year.

Indeed all comments in this thread have and will be taken on board.

Reviews should be explicitly dated in some fashion that is obvious to the reader, methinks (I don't see them in CM reviews).
That would be good. Every year or so somebody gets alerted with a "is this still accurate" question and if the answer is no, the page is warned "this may not be accurate"

I may be a little biased as almost all my favourite casinos are Grey Zone, Not Recommended or not reviewed.
