How was 2022 for you, a profit or loss?

As we approach the end of another year, how was your slotting in 2022?

Almost all of my play this year was at MrVegas, a seamless experience for a casual player like me. Withdrawals were always in 5 minutes, and some nice free gifts from the wheel throughout the year. I did start to avoid some games because of silly low RTPs like 90% on Thunderkicks and some NetEnts. Immoral Romance plays completely differently now on 92.1%, another I avoid!

I did join a few new casinos, but within a few small deposits was asked for SoW, so I instantly closed the accounts and told them no thank you.

Here are my stats for the year, small loss, but it was a lot of fun.

I don't record my stats anymore - not like the old days when I kept detailed logs of every game I played, profit & loss, features, etc.

They used to look like this:
OldMGlog_2010.webp

The red figure at the end was how much WR I had left on the bonus I was playing.
Here's that $160 hit:

So anyway - back on topic - I only have concrete figures from Videoslots, where it has been a very good year for me!

... and I still have £1,275 balance.
MUCH better than last year, when I did more deposits and ZERO withdrawals :(

At other casinos - definitely down, but I don't know how much exactly.

3rd year in a row, huge losses. But ey gambling is entertainment and entertainment only. You wont break-even, you won't win, you won't do any of that you understand?

I'm not proud of it, but at some point earlier in the year I did get roped into buying a Lottery ticket, and suffice to say, didn't win diddly-squat.

By my reckoning, this easily, easily puts me in the losses category, I believe to be in the region of £4 :(

Are you 100% sure about that? :p

Well, the year isn't over just yet so it'd be a bit premature to say I ended up on a solid minus - I am spinning as we speak, and if I could just hit three or four 5.000 x's over the next few hours, I'd be pretty much right at RTP for 2022.

But yeah, it was another year of donating my hard earned to the casinos. If only they were charitable, there would at least be some kind of tax return... That said, I find it to be great entertainment value in playing the slots and it's my favourite recreational activity by far. You go into it knowing the odds are against you, but that only makes the rush of hitting those big wins even heftier - and I've had a few: a 4200x comes to mind, a 3,300x too, as well as 20-25 wins in the 1000x - 2500x range, so I definitely feel like I've gotten my money's worth.

Over the entire year, I don't think I have gone even 2 weeks without playing. My spin stakes are somewhere between 0,25 and 0,50 EUR on average, so I feel as if there is some kind of damage control in place for when I inevitably encounter the cold slots. It does all add up though. I mostly play with deposit bonuses and to beat the wagering req is in itself a fun challenge and one I am surprised at how many times I've accomplished with a decent balance remaining! However, once I actually have some real money to spend, I tend to blow it all on ridiculous feature buys (looking at you, John Hunter!), so a new year's resolution for me will certainly be to hit that 'Whitdraw' button on a more regular basis!

Slots of they year, for me, would be Great Rhino Megaways and Mustang Gold. They aren't new at all, but are on my most played list, and I find them great for bonus wagering. Other favourites of mine are Buffalo King MW, Madame Destiny MW, Wild West Gold MW, or any John Hunter slot (besides Book of Tut - the sound is terrible!) - all from Pragmatic. Gonzo's Quest and Narcos from NetEnt. Also an honourable mention to Booming Games and Stakelogic whose games I more and more often end up playing. I also quite enjoy the BGaming slots and I'd happily vote for Elvis Frog Trueways as slot of the year! Another one I'm real fond of is Aztec Magic MW, while Big Atlantis Frenzy is somewhat amusing. All BGaming slots play out the exact same for me though, offering amazing wins in the start only to later on go into a balance eating mode seemingly without end. I've played a great deal of Blueprint games throughout the year but frankly, they are horrible and I'm sick of going 500 spins for a 30x bonus.

I've tried out a lot of different casinos, but like I said earlier, I tend not to whitdraw so I couldn't give a full verdict. I do find the crypto ones to offer a lot of action though, and most of them seem to run on max RTP. However, with crypto being so volatile, you might find yourself in the absurd situation of the slots being good to you but your balance when compared to "real money" is still decreasing!

As for RTP, it has been very disappointing to see how many casinos opt in for the lower version ones. I think we should vote with our wallets, and simply boycott them, because the difference between a 96% and a 94% is actually quite significant and will dramatically reduce your play time. At the very least, the casinos should compensate with far more attractive bonus offers than what has become the norm nowadays, to at least mask their greediness a little bit.

Finally, I wish you all only the best for the year to come! May your screens be full of whatever symbol it is you crave!

I cant say but I know 2022 was my lowest year since 2008 for deposits. Played at 3dice and a few cryptos which I knocked on the head a few months back.

3dice will get some deposits 2023 - but I cant see anywhere else I would be playing at. Unless a miracle happens with the UKGC!
But need to sort out a new crypto dep method for 3dice and dont have time or energy for that right now.

On record I think 2009 was my worst year ever I did around 100k in losses -never went back to playing such insane figures since then.

Worst year ever by a million miles. It’s not entertainment anymore, it’s daylight robbery. Time there was a proper organisation in place that know what they are doing, to eradicate all the skulduggery that takes place and actually look out for the player.

Good but this is only vs stats, I tend to lose more at other sites where they have my games at 96%, vs have them at 94% so they dont want a chance at getting the winnings back.

update:
£1241 up on virgin games.
£793 up on 21 casino,
£230 down on Mr Q,
all British Im not sure but likely up due to a 3000x win on final countdown
update 2: all british: deposits: £619.00 withdrawals: £1545.09 this is not only for 2022 but lifetime stats, most of it is from this year though as I was playing pragmatic there until they reduced the RTP payouts.

and that's pretty much all the casinos I play.

I won loads on bingo (and here's me thinking slots were where the money is at!) and spent most of my bingo jackpot winnings on slots. So I'm probably about even overall but way down on slots. Now they've changed the spin amounts so you can't spin more than £2 a line (and lots of sites no more than 80p a line) on most slots I think what's even the point. I get having limits but it still let's you do £20 a spin if you do all the lines-I'd rather put all that on just one or two lines and get a super big win occasionally. How you gonna win back any losses from £2 a line...but I guess that's the point. Think I'm finally done with slots this year, there's too much temptation to stake stupid amounts knowing you can't even win much back because of the stake system now. Barring a massive JP win I could easily burn through anything I could ever win in just a few hours. Wish you all luck though!

Edit-I discovered Slingo recently and that robs the shit out of you if not careful, even worse than slots imo. Back to just bingo it is for me!

Who do u play bingo with?

£2800 down in the year. Not all on slots, some betting as well but not much. The odd couple of quid on football or the horses.
It's Slingo that does me in. I've won loads but lost loads more on those bastards. Without them I'd possibly be even, maybe up a tiny bit.
Have decided to keep away from Slingo as much as I can although I had a little go on Da Vinci Diamonds earlier and won £99.

I won on a VF site but been playing years and pouring a fortune into their JPs that they have around Xmas and only had a decent JP win 2 weeks ago-tried really hard to make it a second win but couldn't-and played a lot of winnings back (my fault for being greedy!) but at least it proved to me how nigh on impossible it is to win a JP when you actually try-funnily enough I won the JP on my very first game of the day, sheer luck that.

Yeh I think I wish I had never discovered Slingo! Crazy how you can spend so much and common sense goes out the window when you think you can buy a good bonus round. I usually limit spins now and hope I get on the grid without buying-works sometimes but gets bit boring when it doesn't! And just quit when you hit the 100x or are up a decent amount because they can and will take it all back in the next game!

Well my return to online gaming started in late May/June 2022. If I had to do it again I would not. I only played primarily at one of the (and used to be, and still have some good things to say about them) online casinos. Anyone who knows me or wonders where I've went, been rapidly and sporadically on the site like 98 percent off of what I used to be, knows the place I'm referring to :)
Here is what I will say, I have stopped playing there with the exception of one small deposit (just to see) within the past couple of weeks, and stopped investing my time as well (free tourneys that I played an average of 10 plus per day). Since I've stopped playing, I feel wealthy and happy! I like to enjoy my money and still see it in the bank. Despite the report they give me it definitely does not "feel" like I have had the return they say I have and the obvious results, and experiences I have had during that 9 or so months are there to prove it. I know when an investment is not worth it, tired of depositing $1K-$4K a month only to get an average win (if any) of $300-$500. Big whoop, and I can feel it too. Whenever I can go to Vegas (and usually went often during the past few years) and take an average $500 bankroll (not even spending all of it at times) and win thousands within a couple of days to take home, frequently, I KNOW what is worthwhile. People will win on here and feel excited bc they were so sick of a long losing streak and multitudes of deposits, so yes, they are finally happy to get a glass of water in the desert, so to speak. Yes, there are jackpot winners, but definitely not worth chasing. My limit is when I've lost over $36K with nothing to show for it in return or even anything really memorable worth mentioning. Some people in chat are pretty cool and formed a couple friendships, but not investing in here anymore. Once everything dwindles (my loyalty or player status, so be it). Now, if you are very lucky here often, go for it, I would! But I'm not one of those and enjoy my money too much. Support is awesome here and same staff as years and years ago. Yes, you will get your money, it is trustworthy. I do like some of the games, but even if I was a millionaire I wouldn't pick this to invest in again, the pie chart, graph, etc. would look horrible in the eyes of a gambler who is willing to invest but not get any worthwhile returns, not even once in awhile. Here's to an exciting 2023 for me after learning the hard way at what used to be a place I would win big (often 5 scatters/5 wilds and archaic screenshots posted here to prove it), but unfortunately has not been the same. But I'm happy now with my decision, where I don't even have to "self-exclude" out of temptation, the interest and thrill has gone from this player. Cheers!

2022 - The first year since I started that I lost money, reckon around 2 K.

I blame it on the new games. I always give them a spin, and from previous years, I have been duped into thinking there are bonus games and free spins. Not so on the new games, these are a myth.

I have particularly fond memories of doing 800 - 1200 spins on Elk Studios games with not a sniff of a bonus. I love their games, which have not necessarily been the costly ones, but Elk's new releases seem to have two versions - one that pays and one that will rinse you until you close and come back a day or two later.

Funnily enough, I never had thoughts about compensation until playing the latest Elk games in 2022. On several occasions at Unibet, they would drain the balance and then, on a new day, would offer a bonus round within the first 100 spins. One time, it was literally the first spin on a new day, compared to around 1200 the day before.

Unibet is where the majority of losses went, I am still up on LeoVegas (sorry Leo) Who's The Bride is the one that took the most individually from me.

Previous years have been far more accommodating. On the verge of quitting slots and gambling on stocks, crypto and NFTs instead. It's just not cricket when a 20, 30 or even 50 goes in less than half an hour.

Don't get me wrong, it's not always about a withdrawal, but it's no fun if I don't get a little tickle or rub down while getting screwed.

A disaster! The reduction in casinos,RTPs,promotions and disposable income plus nonsense SOW checks were all responsible for absolute crap. Even as a small depositor my money goes nowhere quickly.
Pokerstars are the best every week min they give away £10 to £75 for free no wagering and lot of free spins no wagering, Grosvenor casinos also not bad rtp 94% but they do give lot of bonus offers and free spins

I excluded myself from Skybet as I was banned from all their promos but still used Pokerstars regularly. Little did I realise that they are the same company so now I cannot use Pokerstars at all.

and in 80% of cases I win. I've been playing here for a long time and it's my favorite. I can immediately withdraw money to my card and it is very convenient. This is the safest casino I know, everyone has a high chance of winning, so if you know how to play, you will definitely be lucky!

Have lost 4000euro from friday until today.. my biggest win was 209euro. All this in only 1 slot. Gonzo quest from scaming netent. Overall i am -100k euro on this slot last 2 years. Only this game.. dosent matter wich stake i trigger bonus i dosent pay more than 20-50x… Only in funmode ite pays

Q1 has almost ended, shall we redo a topic with: How was q1 2023 for you, a profit or a loss?

Why would you play a relatively low variance game so much? It rarely delivers 100x+ and I had 1000x like once and is ultra rare, there are way better games to grind away at.
Dont know bro.. i an stuck in the past when actully u could win on these game. Before 2017 i was wining a lot on this game, hade 850x on 50 eu bets. And a lot of 2-300x on big bets.. Dont know my brain is stuck on those win. Only last 2 years i lost 100k only in this slot, i don play other slots.. but now i blocked the acount.. wont play it anymore :)
