Need your input: If I had been a coach driver.....

I need some input here!
LOL...The guy should get an award, if the teachers cannot offer discipline to school yobs...

With supposedly a load of teachers on the bus to supervise the kids, why didn’t they take control and make the kids behave?
Bus driver was right but he shouldn’t have had to do that the spineless teachers should have controlled the kids better .
I wonder how many claims will go in now because the poor we dears were treated so harshly.

“It was disgusting and I was truly horrified somebody could be like that to children.”

LOL - I guess she should ride the school bus more often. Kids these days are just entitled f^%$s - I am sure there are exceptions, but when I was a kid, we knew our place. Mouth off to a teacher or bus driver, and it's corporal punishment. You're gonna get your ass beat.

Aye, saw this earlier; seems like a bloke doing a difficult job without the support of the people meant to be dealing with the kids and at the end of his tether. Lost his job over it. Don't think he should have - give him a week's suspension, perhaps, maybe even have the employer emphasise that he'd HAD to step in to deal with the issues as the teachers hadn't.

Difficult job, but threatening to smash kids in the mouth isn't what I'd call professional, irrespective of whether he was having a bad day or the kids were being just that: kids!

No angels I'm sure, but effectively 'inspiring' them to resolve situations through violence isn't adult behaviour. The responsibility fell on the teachers, they were inept, though I suspect their chastisement via one or two words would have had a greater effect!

The driver needs to suck it up and make a complaint to the relevant teachers/ headmaster afterwards. He absolutely deserved to be sacked for his behaviour. Bravo!

This is the major problem with society today though mate - "the driver needs to suck it up and make a complaint" - let's be honest that complaint goes to the school, they do fuck all with it.

Actually, the kids need discipline. The coach driver may have been able to handle it differently, but I can completley understand why he snapped. 2 hours into a 4 hour drive, on UK roads with a bunch of little shits trashing the bus, smoking and generally not caring because they are too used to acting the way they do and getting away with it.

Sometimes, on rare occassions (which are more frequent these days unfortunatley), the issuing of a slap is warranted. And the fact that the teachers did nothing to calm the behaviour of the kids - they should be in the firing line as well (or the slapping line, depending on where you stand)

I don't disagree that they need discipline, just that it wasn't his place to administer it, and not in that way....

A coach driver is not an authority figure in this situation, much like no parent would tolerate a random person shouting their kids down in the street or threatening to smash their face in!

I'm not saying the driver wasn't agitated or that they didn't boil his piss, just that there are better ways, for others, to highlight their wrongdoing without removing their teeth :p

Funny how the coach driver could have gotten his message across by using minced oaths instead of the obvious. Back in the day when I was a drill sergeant dealing with trainees, we were NOT allowed to swear at the troops or call them names like maggots, scumbags, etc., so we settled for the following:

ladies
hobos
shitbirds
yardbirds
knuckleheads
slowmo
Elmo
....
Anyone in a leadership position knows that you don't need to call someone a stupid m**&^%f^%$ker to get your message across. It's the effective leaders that can put the fear of god in you just by speaking to you in a nice clear and calm tone. :eek2: :eek2: :eek2: :eek2:

Unfortunately in this case, these coddled kids are way far gone. They should all be sent to Texas where the school buses don't have seat belts, and the teachers (and perhaps the bus drivers too) all pack guns. LOL

Oxygen Thief - one of the best non-aggressive ways of getting a belting insult without being overly aggressive

First introduced to it by an RSM (just to add, not said at me, at least as far as I am aware)
