Last Thursday - Played both of them at Casino Rewards

Last Friday - nowhere to be seen in any of the 28 CR casinos at which I still have an active account. That remains the case this morning.

Also checked some of my other regular/not so regular haunts, namely....

Bet365 - JW removed (they never had JP)
32Red - both removed
Bwin, Party, SportingBet - JW removed (they also have JP...more about that in a moment)

To me, that suggests that JW is no more. I could be wrong about that and would be more than happy to be corrected.

As for JP, the game DOES appear in the lobbies of Bwin, Party, SportingBet and Gala (I have JP saved as a "favourite" at each of these casinos and it still shows on my favourites page at each of them).

However, when I went to load the game (I tried at all four of them), this is what came up on my screen.....

Uhm.....yeah

I should point out that this also happens on two other games in the Jurassic series, namely Jurassic Park GOLD Link & Win and Jurassic World Raptor Riches.

Is this a case of the licence expiring on a series of MG branded slots , like what happened with The Dark Knight and Dark Knight Rises back in 2016 or with the various Game Of Thrones slots (15 lines, 243 ways, Power Stacks) last year?

Would imagine the licence has lapsed. Theres no regulatory reason that I can think of as to why they would remove it from ukgc casinos. If we were talking non ukgc casinos then it might be to do with the current crackdown.

On a side note its quite funny how the bandit hasnt figured out yet why he cant play no limit citys at the one with the letters....its because hes trying to play in gbp.

Which casino is the one with the letters, is it like they who shall not be named or something?

Its a thing bandit does...calls one the one with the letters and one the one with the numbers. You have to then go to his site to find out their names...presumably his aim is that you also click on his affiliate link rather than going straight there.

You'd have thought with MG outsourcing their existing IPs to Stormcraft Studios that they'd simply let the licence run its course, and barring Immortal Romance II, prefer to focus on 5x4 line slots going forward, rendering the 243-ways format outmoded.

Probably too expensive to take out another decade's worth of associated costs for the 56 people that still play it. And whilst the 2014 O.G slot and licensing had been acquired quite shrewdly, back when Jurassic Park was a stagnant franchise and MG sought to capitalize on the upcoming movie reboots, I'd imagine the licence to be a tad more expensive now, with Jurassic Park Rebirth just around the corner....

With MG more of a publisher, I think we'll see them and other companies consolidate their portfolios and focus on what they have, rather than shell out on pre-existing franchises. I mean, who doesn't enjoy four versions of Thunderstruck? :p

He'd figure it out quickly if he would read the posts on his own forum.

You know if you shill for something and its illegal. you have no re course when it comes back at you
What can you say to the tax man
Now i see why that muppet rockn rolla pretends hes not gambling in the uk when he plays bc game

It’s really disappointing to see these slots removed, especially for fans of the movies (like me 😔) Unfortunately, without a renewed licensing agreement, they’re unlikely to return to UK casinos anytime soon..

Jees, Happy Holidays and Santa's Wild Ride are decommisioned too.

Now I need to find new christmas themed games to play :(

And these too:
A dark matter*

Dolphin Quest*
Dragonz*
EmotiCoins*
Fruit vs Candy*
Golden Era*

It's a purging alright, made all the more baffling as many of those aren't directly movie-licenced and simply original works! :what:

Short of speculating on any rationale behind it, such as paying the 75p it costs to keep them running, it just seems like good old-fashioned downscaling, whereby these titles are played by a select few, or just deemed not zany enough for a modern player base because they don't depict hangings etc.

As much as I acknowledge the classic status of Cashapillar, Tomb Raider and even the formative slotting joy experienced on the (for me outstanding) Silver Fang, ain't no one playing them no more.

A lot of these titles excelled when paired with the 'MG Download lobby times' and just look broken and devoid of purpose since their 'conversions' from Flash anyway. So ultimately sad, but not surprising

TombRaider has gone!??? As in the original Microgaming circa 2004 TombRaider!?

Say it isn't so. I LOVED that game, even more than I loved the original Thunderstruck. Well, this definitely means I won't be looking to get my GamStop exclusion lifted anytime soon then.
Here's a minute or so of nostalgia for you - those sounds just coming back to me....

Hey, here's one for @chopley and his Push Gaming 'same spin' affair?

I just noticed the base game spin at 0:12 in the video above produces EXACTLY the same spin as occurred in the second free game during the bonus at 1:36..........:laugh::laugh::laugh:

Do I win £500?

They're ALL bent these slots I tells ya....

Do I win £500 too?

And yeah....they ARE ALL FUCKING BENT. MORE BENT THAN A ROYAL MINT FULL OF NINE BOB NOTES AND TUPPENCEFARTHINGS......

Don't be silly guys! Its all random reel strips that are landing in random positions every time you click the spin button.

This is what they would like you to believe, But it is total bollocks, on most of the newer games especially.

Each spin is just a lottery ticket now and what plays out on the screen has fuck all to do with reels spinning and landing in certain positions.

Guessing the above is said with tongue wedged firmly in cheek, however note "Showcase Casino" in the bottom left of the screen. Pretty sure this is the demo version of Viper that was used at trade shows etc...

You're right, it is. :)

Just chirping in with my 2p here, I agree some of the obvious ones here are because of licencing agreements coming to an end, but I think the main thing here is there's no longer a "release and forget" for game providers so there is a cost associated with keeping them alive.

Removing free spins, feature buys, reducing spin speed etc - each change takes a long time and they'd rather spend their time investing into new content - especially when a lot of the older games were built on old technology.

I am not sure how much of an exaggeration it was, but I remember asking about a particular slot once and if it could be re-skinned for a branded game. The game provider basically said it's not possible as they no longer have the game files/code only the end product. It may have been a lie, but it wouldn't surprise me!

I was really looking forward to Jurassic Park today as I am playing through a bonus at CR. I think Immortal Romance has given all it intends to for a bit.

So far it's been a terrible day. The hospital cafeteria no long makes fries, one thing I don't make at home, and I never go out. Then I am using their automated coffee station. Nowhere does it say to put cup under first, and the cups are PAST the machine. So paid full price for 1/2 cappucino that was not very good.

And now Jurassic Park is gone. Heartbreaking.
