It's hardly surprising that Trump might be attacked as a consequence.

Trump is a disgusting human being, a vile rapist and convicted felon, whom I have nothing but contempt and loathing for, however I don't think the punishment for that should be death, via a sniper's bullet or any other mechanism. (I am completely opposed to the death penalty in any capacity.)
The way to get rid of him is via the ballot box at an election, although given that the Democrats seem to be insisting on standing a man who increasingly resembles an animated cadaver against Trump, I fear that might not happen.
It's not really a great debating tactic dunover, to say 'Ahh well Chopley will say this, but what he REALLY means is this, and therefore my point is correct'.
On the other hand we have what Trump definitely did say about the attack on Nancy Pelosi's house. Oh but hang on, he didn't mean it and what he was really thinking is what the lefties are saying about the attack on Trump but in secret they don't mean it.

Yes it might be still to early to know the motive as to why he chose to try kill Trump. But maybe his dad will play a role in finding out his motive.

Trump in the last few weeks has been very quiet, uncharacteristically for him. He's following the obvious strategy, same as Kier Stormer did here, that given the opposition is so hopeless and doing a brilliant job of self-destruct, he needn't do anything or say anything over the bare minimum.

A serious and genuine question that I am posing. Politics in the country is so divisive and it has been getting progressively worse since the insurrection at the Capitol in January 2021.
Criminal charges and civil litigation is consuming Trump whilst he runs for President again, now he has been shot at.

I wouldn’t be hugely surprised at a civil war over there. There’s whole states that really do not see eye to eye with the majority of the rest of the nation, and those very red states would be better off out of it. But they want to drag the rest down into their fundamentalist 18th-century Christian hellhole.
Civil war is an inevitability given citizens' armament, a right so irrefutable that the mere notion of having it removed would cause Americans to cry foul. Because you never know when you have to defend your property from governmental oppression, using your musket!
