Press release:

MICROGAMING SIGNS AGREEMENT FOR JURASSIC PARK FRANCHISE

Iconic film trilogy roars to life with innovative online slot games

ISLE OF MAN – Microgaming (www.microgaming.co.uk) has signed a licensing agreement with Universal Partnerships & Licensing to produce online slot games centred on one of the biggest film trilogies in motion picture history, Jurassic Park.

Released in 1993, Jurassic Park became an instant phenomenon. Featuring Academy Award®-winning visual effects and ground-breaking filmmaking, this epic film is sheer movie-making magic that was 65 million years in the making. The popularity of Jurassic Park led to a second and third installment released in 1997, The Lost World: Jurassic Park and 2001, Jurassic Park III respectively, as well as a successful 3D re-release of the original in 2013. The license includes this classic collection of films.

Now, fans of Jurassic Park can also look forward to reliving the adventure with an online slot game coming this summer. It will be a 243 ways-to-win game with five different free spin modes depending on the DNA analysis of the dinosaur randomly selected.

Roger Raatgever, CEO of Microgaming, comments: “Jurassic Park is a seminal movie - its stunning visual effects and computer-generated imagery set a new benchmark in the industry. It’s a film that we can draw parallels from in terms of our game creation and our aim to deliver the most visionary and imaginative gaming experiences to the end player. The Jurassic Park brand is legendary, and our game development team is busy creating an all-mighty slot for release later in the year.”

Microgaming will be previewing the Jurassic Park online slot at ICE Totally Gaming, ExCeL London, 4th to 6th February 2014, at stand number N11-120.

A bold new direction for Microgaming!

I wonder which slot it will be a clone of :D

TBH I think they pretty much nailed the 243-wayer with IR, no other 243-wayer has come close to that slot IMO.

For pity's sake don't let MG read that, or we'll have clones of IR every release until 2019.

It's nothing to get excited about.

If you take away the 4 or 5 popular 243-line games and a few others slots like BDBA, you aren't left with very much in the whole MG catalogue.

MG need to modernise their slots but they seem content on repackaging the same shit time and time again. They may boast about having 500+ games in the download casino, but they are nothing but a collection of failed slots that have acumulated over the years.

When I hear MG are releasing a new game, my first thought is "I wonder how boring it will be". They will just dress up a bad game with an expensive theme. Let's just hope it's not another clone.

Well, fair comment, but at least unlike NetBent you can place your deposit and actually get some gameplay and sometimes even a decent profit.

Yup. As horrible as some people may think these new releases are, last year, I was up the last 6 months, and pretty much furnished my house and paid my rent from the high var MG releases

As much as I like Playboy and IR, I still lean towards the older games myself. Thunderstruck, Spring Break, ISIS, Cashapillar, Avalon, BDBA Again, Stash Of The Titans, Ladies Nite and Deck The Halls all see some of my cash pretty regularly.

And slightly OT, now Intercasino no longer have their original video poker, no-one else comes close to matching MG's VP.

Your opinion, many of us dont share it. A large % of MG slots can accumulate huge wins, even their `boring` ones as you put it. The same cannot be said of many other software providers. Netent anyone? :D

It's not just Jurrasic Park.....

MICROGAMING IN LICENCE AGREEMENT WITH TERMINATOR 2 BRAND

edit: ...Whoops... Thanks Rain, I missed that other thread :)

How did I miss that! Thanks Rainmaker :)

By the way... at a quick check the 243 ways to win games only make up 17% of the slot games we have available. Personally I'm a huge fan, but each to their own I suppose. :)

The payouts are fine, but the quality of the game play lacks any innovation. Some of the new ones they released look 10 years out of date. In 2004 those games may have been considered well made but in 2014 they look bland.

When a new WMS slot is released it's something to get excited about. The entire framework of their games are so much superior to those produced by Microgaming. Regardless of the varience and likelihood of a "big win", you can still make a game fun to play depending on how its structured.

Microgaming are starting to feel a little bit like Cryptologic. I wouldn't be surprised if over the next 2-3 years their popularity declined unless they stop resting on their laurels.

I understand where your coming from, and in some ways your right, but staid slots or not unless another software starts competing and offering `the big hits` as high and as often as MG does I cant see that happening. And MG know this.

Oh dear, now this looks absolutely fantastic. Take that NetEnt, this is how a branded game should look like.

I don`t like Terminator, love Avalon II, but I really hope that we get to choose the bonus rounds, or at least
they`re random.

Anyway, can`t wait

What use is a movie themed slot if you can't have the original soundtrack?

Without the soundtrack it doesn't have the Jurassic Park feel to it.

It would have also made for a great "Big Win" sound.

I agree it looks like a cool slot although i can't say that i am a massive fan of 243 way slots in general, apparently it will be released in August (let's hope it's early August and not the last day of the month :))

I remember back in 1991 when I read the book - it was OK, and I said to my then-GF "this is not a novel it's a film-script."
The precocious all-American kiddie, a computer-whizz that saves the day etc..etc..zzzzzz... more corn than Carolina.

Sure enough it was a blockbuster film shortly after.

I just hope the slot isn't as predictable, as the video looks OK. Lots of low x stake wins with big hit potential.

Based on info provided by Mark@32Red in release dates thread, this slot will be released in September.

August release is Game Of Thrones.

The feature set on JP looks quite impressive, and stacked wilds in base game is always a pretty sweet deal. As for the odds of hitting a full screen of stacked wilds, well that's another story. Let's hope it's at least a little easier than the odds of hitting a full screen of wilds on Avalon 2, otherwise it's another case of dream on man. Having said that, I guess it will depend a lot on the paytable/variance level.

Like the look of the T-Rex alert with 35 extra wilds in base game too, as it implies a higher chance of achieving a full screen of wilds. Definitely looking forward to this one!

EDIT: off topic, but for those of you who aren't aware, this month sees Robo Jack and Fish Party slots coming to microgaming. Vids available on Youtube.

It is coming!! Now!! Probably this week, maybe even before the weekend!!
I don’t have any inside info, just my gut feeling (plus the fact that many casinos have pop ups of it). :D

Have you read my above post #36?

My understanding is JP is being released in September. The following 32Red article supports this as well.

Unless you have actual facts that this slot is being released in August, I wouldn't get too excited just yet ;)

Yeah...it is coming soon. Not this week, but think Jurassic Park will be officially released August 6.

16 days :D

If you're right, then either the release date previously posted by Mark@32Red has changed, or he was given the wrong info to begin with.

You say think, so you're not sure then?

Anywhere I confirm the release date mate, or is it still speculative?

I haven't had it confirmed yet, but several casinos (like Betsafe and a few download MG casinos) have announced on Youtube that they will have it live on August 6, so I assume this is the official release date :D

Yes I did. Before posting. It is old news, things change. GOT was to come first. That is 100% NOT going to happen. Casinos never start pop ups earlier than 15 days to the release date. Minor problems in download versions also start 7-4 days before a release. I notised some problems yesterday.

No official confirmation yet. Its a big release, they expect problems.

Just found this: “Just launched at **********.com: The Jurassic Park™ Slot Game Based on the All-time Hit Movie Trilogy!”

It’s a lie. If you try to access it they tell you to register first, even for practice play. If you try to see what games they have, they tell you to register first. After registration, the game is still nowhere to be found and live chat informs “It will be launched soon”.

They have it emblazoned on their home page, and have issued a press release about them having launched it already. It's on a site called "mynewsdesk", which appears to allow businesses to publish their own PR disguised as independent journalism.

Perhaps Microgaming might be interested in this claim, because if they do have this slot now, it would be a pirate copy, and if they don't, they are tarnishing the reputation of Microgaming as well as their own.

Casino Daily states - The demo version is out and the real thing will go live early in August.

Early in August so could be next week; I just received an email from Go Wild Casino today on Jurassic Park Slot *Coming Soon* It does not give an exact date so assuming soon means within a week.

Hi there from LuckyWinSlots, this is Louise!

Please accept our sincere apologies - I can honestly confirm that we did not intend to mislead players, it was simply a misunderstanding between the LWS team and our gaming operator. We went ahead and prepared all of our promotional material thinking that the game had already launched and low and behold, it was not intended for launch until 6th August. There was really nothing underhanded about the whole thing...just an eagerness to let our players know of this wonderful new game!

We have removed the Jurassic Park banner from our website and updated all other materials which were referencing the launch of the new game.

Thank you so much for bringing this to our attention - I can imagine how frustrating it would have been for players to want to play the game and not be able to locate it in our game lobby.

Louise.
