LUCKY ONLINE GAMBLER

Two royal flushes in 3 days - and this is not the first time!

The Golden Tiger online casino reports an exceptionally lucky online gambler this week, identified only as "PS", who has scored two royal flushes and picked up a GBP 100 000 jackpot for each....all within 3 days.

The British player defeated all odds this month by hitting his second royal flush in only three days...and as recently as February this year he managed to do the exact same thing, and then again in March 2008, bringing his total winning balance up to GBP 400 000 in a mere three months, reports Golden Tiger spokesperson Emma Hall.

The royal flush is rare enough to be remarkable and is the best hand in poker, consisting of a 10, jack, queen, king, and ace all of the same suit. Probabilities of being dealt such a hand are over 600 000 to one.

Golden Tiger belongs to the Australian online gambling group Casino Rewards, which recently acted the white knight in taking over six failed online casinos from the liquidated Casino Action group, also Australian owned.

Why don't they tell us how much he's lost in the 3 months he's played trying to get 2 RF's in 3 days. That just tells me not to play at Golden Tiger because they'll put the clink on the other games to re-coop the losses.

This seems like max bet on the 50 or 100 hand versions, and getting two PAT DEALT RF in the three days. Highly improbable, but the amount of wagering must have been huge, and the VP particularly "hot" to produce a 400K overall profit.

It may be he had a huge win, started betting even bigger, then hit the 2xRF to make this massive profit.

I often try larger bets after a big hit, but have never hit anything this large.

If he tries to repeat this, that 400K will disappear pretty quickly.

There are some incredibly big gamblers in Internet gambling - by way of example, there's a couple threads over at 2+2 that showcase a dispute with one guy who burned through $245 000 in 12 hours...and that was only a part of his online gambling adventures at that particular venue!

If I had a quarter of a million bucks to throw around, I surely wouldn't trust any online casino with it.

Heh heh! Just to re-energise this debate Casino Rewards has made a further press release on more big wins in this vein:

MORE BIG WINS AT CASINO REWARDS

Online casino group reports another double jackpot

Last week it was a British player at the Golden Tiger in the Casino Rewards group who had scored two royal flushes and picked up a GBP 100 000 jackpot for each....all within 3 days (see previous InfoPowa report).

This time around another online casino in the same group - Blackjack Ballroom - reports making another player wealthy after dishing out two jackpots in two days totaling more than $200 000.

Seasoned video poker player PL from Idaho collected the serious cheque with two royal flushes in a 48 hour period.

"I won $200 000 by hitting two Royal Flushes within two days," PL recounted. "This money is going to pay off my mortgage, student loans and start a very good savings account for my children to help them in their future."

Casino Rewards, an Australian owned group, claims a total of 11 major jackpot winners in March at its range of 18 online gambling venues.

LOL - indeed, but I guess it has to be seen in the context of a large and well established outfit that must deal with very significant numbers of transactions every day, increasing the chances of particularly lucky wins like these.

True, but to be more ethical, I think when casinos advertise these large wins they should also publicize what denomination and total bet size it took to win that much money. Someone fresh off the bus that hasn't played much, if any, at online casinos might figure they could win that much by playing low stakes. Only veterans would know that it isn't possible.

Nah... I'm all for casino's posting the big wins -- that's what their business is all about! You don't need to go into more detail about wagering/stakes/losses blah blah blah etc... Just hit us with the top-line figures to make us drool :D

Players, veteran or otherwise, are responsible for themselves; always.

Then what would be wrong with posting a screenshot along with the win? That'd make everyone happy and a player can see for themselves what stakes were being played. :p

Pat Royal Flushes

It seems as though something does not smell right. I have been playing quite extensively at MG casinos for the past eight years and have never seen a pat royal flush on power play yet. Personally, I feel this goes against all odds considering how much I play. I have easily hit well over 100 royals in this time but never a pat. Now we hear two players not only achieved this but twice in a few days. Like I said, something does not smell right. Cheers

The PR didn't mention them being pat hands, VWM was just speculating....

I think it happened the way I mentioned earlier.....$25 coins max bet on a single handed machine...
