[Max says: these posts have been split off from the main VideoSlots thread. The case was made that it's an important issue on its own and I agreed. Hopefully no-one will be overly inconvenienced by this.]

I PMd phillip about this too but members here need to be warned.

If you deposit using a prepaid mastercard with this casino group.

Drivers license, bank statements and utility bill is not enough.

They want a hand written letter.

From the person who I spoke with. You will not receive any money until you write this letter and send it to them and its verified.

Im assuming Phillip will get this changed/sorted since there isnt a casino on the internet that requests this kind of stuff but just wanted to make you all aware of this for now. You prepaid players need to hold off depositing until they fix it.

Keep us updated Phillip. Thanks!

I just want to add that it looks like this casino group isnt familiar with what a prepaid credit card is. Speaking to the support agent and telling her its impossible for me to send her a copy since they are disposable cards....she asked me to go to the bank and get a letter stating its a prepaid lol. I had to clarify that you walk into the gas station or grocery store and you buy the specific amount from them. Not a bank and that a grocery clerk is def not going to write a letter about it

Hi lockinlove,

If you make a deposit with a card you need to verify that the card is yours. And in your case where you have used a prepaid card which you don't posses any longer we need a letter which declares that the card in question is yours. We have sent a text which you can print, sign and send back to us. If you don't have access to a printer you can simply write the text by hand (it's not very long), sign it and send back to us. That's all we need in order to verify your account.

I am sorry for the inconvenience this has caused you but this is a security procedure which we need to follow.

Best regards,

Philip

The thing is Philip some of theses cards are chuck aways, there like pay safe etc, some times only use once, Albeit you may see it from your side as a card transaction but they not like a debit / credit card

This is standard procedure at most casinos while using a prepaid card. This is why I stopped using them. Have lost a few withdrawals due to the fact that I couldn't be bothered going through the steps required as I always threw them out as well after using them. Even though they will send funds via bank transfer they still require a copy of the original card that you deposited with.

Hi,

In case you don't have the prepaid card in question you can simply print that letter, sign it and then send it back to us. That's all.

Best regards,

Philip

Really? This is how ive deposited for 90% of the time over the past 10 years and probably done it with dozens of casinos and made probably 1000 deposits with prepaid cards and was never pushed for a copy of the card. All I ever got was ok we need a utility bill, drivers license and banking details as that will be your method of withdrawal.

Actually, this is the case with Trada casino. Last week I deposited with a prepaid card and I told them that upon attempting to withdraw...and all they requested instead was my banking, ID and proof of address. I was approved for cashouts yesterday.

I know Dionysis uses prepaid all the time. Have you been made to write a letter and send it in anywhere?

Anyways, not a fan of this method at all. Its your policy so I respect it. I will just choose to play elsewhere.

Thanks Phillip and Dan for responding to PMs when ive sent them :)

Exactly. But anyways, I would like to see this casino have this written in their terms in specific wording... That if people use a prepaid, they need to write a hand written document because there are alot of people who use them and alot of people would not like this at all. So I think they should be forewarned about it fairly.

No Lockinlove -- they did not request a letter. They simply would not process the withdrawal without seeing a copy of the card. Unfortunately I don't remember which 2 casinos they were. I played at a couple of not so good casinos when I first started out. But ever since I have paid by Ecocard I have no problems at all.

Re: prepaid cards

Prepaids are the ONLY method of deposit I use. Not only is this a practice I've maintained over years, it's also among every single online accredited casino out there.
I can say that NO casino ever asks me to verify a prepaid card. Casinos understand they're store bought, one-time use and non-loadable and don't require a letter explainng the patently obvious.
Note: they used to back in the dinosaur days before they became common place - but I'm talking 10+ years ago. But you guys would be the only operation among all the big guns that still does. People who may play daily or weekly or even multiple times, aren't going to be bothered to print letters when noone else asks this.

I also know with utter certainty the friends and family I play alongside also only use the vanilla MCs (and no, they never send in docs or letters either). It just isn't done.

I was using U-kash vouchers so perhaps that is different. Don't you guys incur a lot of fees between buying the card and bank transfer? With my shitty little wins I can't afford to spend much on fees so for me Ecopayz works best. Used to be so much easier when you can deposit and then withdraw back to Visa but unfortunately they have taken that away from us.

To the OP that is mad at VS bonus system -- if you had really read our reviews you would know we always advise people not to take a bonus. You are missing out on the best things they offer. Taking a bonus excludes you from all the great perks -- and perhaps I'm wrong -- but I think there is no one that can offer what they do.

Yeah, I dont know how many prepaid card players they have there but once they find this out there are going to be some pissed off people.

It was suggested by a few people I send their policy on this to Max to review so I did. Not sure if it will be a big deal or any kind of deal in his eyes but figured Id let them know since there are gonna be some pretty angry people over this over time.

Mine was a small amount ($200) so whatever. But people who are against this type of policy and win bigger, arent going to be pleased. Especially since its not found in their terms anywhere.

Again, if this is a path they choose, fine. But make players aware of it.

@barbara12. Sometimes the fees suck but when ya wanna gamble ya wanna gamble lol. Alot of the casino I am part of do offer the cheque option which is free of charge. So I do use that quite abit too :D

I pay 3.95 on my prepaid card that I can purchase at numerous stores around town.
The reasons i use them are:
they're accessible - you can get them anywhere
they're convenient -you can use them anywhere
they're (well, anywhere else) hassle-free
there's no temptatation to over-gamble...if I buy a $50 card, I can only play $50. I can't add more by any means to the card
and there's no temptation to play back..once it's withdrawn, I have to wait the 3-5 days to use those funds until they hit my bank.

For me, it's just a simple and easy way or bankroll managing. But like above, EVERY casino takes them and EVERY casino recognizes them for what they are.

Just to add - my friends and family know they're easy gifts (after all, they can be used to buy anything - clothes, booze, gambling online - it's a CC)...I got at least a couple, and gave a couple, as did other friends and family, as gifts last year (birthdays, xmases etc )

If thats at me, I don't always take bonuses, but I do at a new place that i haven't played before if I'm going to be playing immortal romance to get the bonus rounds up a little, I never expect to cashout from them, but have done in the past, william hill I cashed out £800 after taking a £30 bonus, and at quatro casino, £750 just before xmas are two recent ones.

Yeah. I get it Colinsunderland. I too took a bonus the first time trying out this casino and like you I like to try out the casino first with a bonus. I was just as angry as you were but when I started making straight deposits it was so much better. I do know how you feel.

We all know how to do it. The point is, no one was told about it at all. So the people who just chuck them out after depositing because they are used to this with every other casino on the internet for the past 10 years, are the ones that have to go through an incredibly annoying verification process.

I sent the complaint to Max. He sent it to Brian for review...so hopefully we hear what he thinks in the coming days

I don't understand what's so annoying about taking a picture of a card and uploading it... If VS management decide that this verification is needed, it's their call isn't it? At least they ask for it everytime and they are straight forward with it. Some casinos ask for this kind of verification when you make a withdrawal request and want you to send a proof of a 2 years old prepaid card or voucher.

The point is..NO other casino currently asks for verification of prepaids.
And it isn't a one time thing. It would be every single deposit if you use prepaids. They're only good once.

Is it their right to ask? Of course.
Is it current practice to do so in casinos? Not even slightly. I could type out all the casinos that don't, but really, you'd just need to screenshot the i-rep page.

I already said if this it what they want its their choice. Lots of other casinos to choose from that dont do this.

If I make 10 deposits because the store only has $50 cards available, I need to send them 10 copies. Like really.

Aside from that my entire issue is I wasnt made aware of this in their terms. My account was suddenly locked from making deposits or withdrawals. I had to verify my account. I spent time collecting all the specific documents they requested to do this. Which finally got accepted. Then to be told they need a written letter.

Put it in your T&C if your going to implement 10 year old practices. This way I would never have deposited or had an issue. I dont like things sprung on me when Im going to withdraw.

This was the reason I didn't play there until one year ago. I decided to get used to this annoying verification because I lioe everything else about them.

You know I agree with you :) I am only doing the devil's advocate here. I mean....

Its fine, just clarifying my issue with it :D

...i have never played regularly at videoslots. i made two deposits via prepaid debit card more than a year ago...and recently after reading all the great reviews and accolades here i decided to play there...i deposited again via prepaid debit card a month ago. i didn't win on any of these times. and because ive been on this forum...i sent in my papers to be verified..of which they were accepted.

so today i deposited via ecopayz $75 and $64. i sent in my screenshot of my ecopayz page so that could be verified. it was. i didn't win but i didn't lose. i got tired of playing so i was left with a balance of $140(or so) so i figure let me see if this is gonna work. if i can withdraw into my ecopayz account and it will appear within minutes like everyone says it will.

so i look for the withdrawal button...can't seem to find it. finally found it on the customer support page...and it says i can't withdraw cuz i am not verified. go check to see if im verified. ecopayz account is verified. my proof of address is verified. my identity is verified.

the three cards that i used ...prepaid debit cards,,,that are not reloadable are not verified. bank account not verified. so i think well prepaid cards are disposable why would they want verification...and i don't want to use my bank account cuz thats not how i play.

so i get on chat....and well they can't give me my withdrawal cuz my three cards that i threw away that i used more than a year ago and more than a month ago...need to be verified...and my bank account needs to be verified despite everything else that they've verified about me.

.

BOTTOM LINE: I don't want to use my bank account.
my ecopays account is verified. my identity has been verified. my proof of residence has been verified. why do i have to verify cards that i havent used in a year for them to verify me...and i have deposited with ecopayz...that method of payment has been verified....

here's what i was told:
---------------------
18:32Me:i deposited today with ecopayz
18:33Me:why do you need a card that i deposieted with a while back that is no longer valid
18:33Me:i want to withdraw into my ecopayz account

18:33Tom F:What method you made today's deposit with does not matter, all methods used must be verified before your account can be fully verified and ready for withdrawals.
18:34Me:well i dont have the card you arew asking for
18:34Me:cuz its a prepaid debit car that you throw away
18:34Me:**card

18:34Tom F:I'm trying to help you here , please hold while I see what we can do.
18:37Tom F:Alright, what we can do is this; I can e-mail you an affidavit that you will need to sign, date and e-mail to us for the pre-paid cards.
18:38Tom F:One per card.
18:38Tom F:Then you will need to verify your bank account and make a bank wire transfer to withdraw your winnings.
18:39Tom F:When the account has been emptied you can contact us and we will make a manual override of your deposit methods, putting them back to zero. This means that the next method you use will become your majority method as long as you use it for the most amount deposited.

18:39Me:i want to withdraw my winnings to my ecopayz account. i dont want to give you my bank details cuz thats not a method i want to use

18:40Tom F:That is, unfortunately, not an option in this case.

18:40Me:ummm...i deposited and i cant withdrawa
18:40Me:via the same method
18:40Me:im sorry i m not understanding
18:40Me:in order to play at your casino i have to give you my bank details
18:41Me:yet you tool the prepaid cards and ecopayz money
18:41Me:**took
18:41Me:i refuse to give you my bank details sorry. i dont like to play that way

18:42Tom F:Then there is nothing more I can do to help you.

18:42Me:im sorry is there anyone else i can speak to. this sounds very impossible for your casino which is highly reputable

18:42Tom F:If the method you have made the majority of your deposits cannot accept a withdrawal the only other option is bank wire, and for that you have to verify your bank account.
18:43Me:i made deposits via ecopayz

18:44Tom F:You have made the majority of your deposits with a different method, the unverified cards. Since you cannot withdraw to them the only other option is to verify your account and withdraw via bank wire.

what to do?

Earlier in the thread there was the discussion about authorizing prepaids (which NOONE else in creation does btw).

But if you aren't currently withdrawing from a prepaid deposit, it's utterly asinine to want those irrelevant cards authorized. I mean, any sane person who depped using a prepaid, busted and didnt withdraw after from it would chuck the card..I mean, why keep it?

the thing is...my ecopayz account is verrified...and so am i ...so i dont get it...

I had sorta the same issue from prepaids. I refused to sign their contract and told them I would forfeit the money I had cause its not happening. They said they cant just take the money So I went to roulette and some crappy slot. Upped my bets and gave it back and zeroed out my money instead of cashing out.

The only reason why I did this, it was from building up a battle ticket so it didnt cost me anything. So I couldnt be bothered to pursue this further.

We are going to see more upset posts about this in the future.

I personally cannot understand for the life of me how such a well rounded casino has this rule that casinos practiced in the 90's...if at all

Videoslots. Put it in your terms please.

that means if you used prepaid card that you no longer have you cant withdraw not sure if i want to deposit here again

Not sure why you quoted me on that part :p
But no, going through the thread, there are options as I understand them.
Step 1: Sign an affidavit(s) to the effect that the cards were indeed yours.
Step 2: WD to the most used WD method.

The 'beefs' were something in regard to another, albet related, matter..

I have some cash in my balance so I wanted to see of I can withdraw being I have used prepaid cards to see what happens. Even though my address,Id etc all verified I'm not able to make a cash out, as my prepaid cards are not verified and I have used many...but there is a master card capital one that needs verified and this I don't understand as no payment was loaded from card. I did try to deposit but payment was rejected as this card does not allow to be used for gambling, so why if no funds were not accepted from card I have to send in docs. of this card. Never been asked by any casino in the 8 years of playing online to verify a card were payment wasn't accepted and to verify prepaid cards.....I think is poor practice Video Slots just a lot of bull if you ask me.... I do love the casino but think prepaid run around is uncalled for and come on Video Slots you must know there gift cards.

I'm willing to sign affidavits but unwilling to have bank verified. I don't have a personal bank account that is in my name only. I have a commercial bank account for my business. I don't need a third bank account. They are unwilling to withdraw the money to my ecopayz account which was how I deposited to begin with. This is the part I don't understand.

If you have 3 x deposits using different cards and 2 x using ecopayz then surely the most used deposit is ecopayz as the 3 x different cards are different methods. Would be different if they were all made using one card.

Maybe a way round it would be make 2 x small deposits using ecopayz, then withdraw it all as then you will have made 4 x using ecopayz and 3 x using cards, so ecopayz will be the most used deposit method.

Maybe the rep, who seems to have ignored you so far, could confirm if this would be ok?

If a card was rejected just tell them and you wont have to verify it. I know all these verifications are a little bit painful but when you are up to date, it takes two seconds to verify a card. Betsson and betsafe do the same thing. The difference is that videoslots understand if you lost the prepaid card and make you sign a piece of paper for proof. Betsafe doesnt... Neither the clueless betsson support.

Hi,

That would depend on how much you have deposited each time. If the amount you deposited with prepaid cards is less when what you have deposited with Ecopayz then you can make a withdrawal using Ecopayz.

Philip

Honestly. It's not even any winnings. Just same amount I deposited. I have pm'd him just now. Hopefully he will respond. Thank you for this suggestion it does seem logical to do this but there is no logic to verifying cards that are over a year old and are debit cards. So who knows.

I had the same thing happen at Betat except it was solved within two seconds by support. I deposited via prepaid debit card and then had to withdraw via ecopayz. Chat support did it manually...in less than 2 minutes the money was sitting in my ecopayz account.

happy to report that all was settled. my money is sitting in my ecopayz account.

signed affadavit for prepaid cards. made a deposit with ecopayz so that it became my preferred payment method. and withdrew the money 2 seconds later. left a couple of bucks to play with. all in under 35 minutes.

thank you philip. thank you videoslots for excellent customer service.

Just want to say thanks to Max for the work he put into splitting posts and making this thread.

I felt like to some people, it is very important players are aware of the policy videoslots has taken in regards to prepaid cards.

Some people are against signing affidavits for any casino so this thread can now be found any time a person uses the forum search future and will hopefully avoid the issues such as myself and others have come upon with their policy so it isnt sprung on them when withdrawing.

I have requested that video slots add it to their terms, that if you use a prepaid, be prepared to sign affidavits/hand written letter. I have not heard back from them and they havent responded to these requests in their thread. So it looks like they wont be adding it. So the only way players will be aware, is from this thread or upon withdrawing.

So for anyone who uses a prepaid card with this casino. This is very different from what we are all used to in other casinos:

Do NOT dispose of your prepaid card without taking a clear picture of the front and back and sending it in for verification. If you dispose of it, you will be required to write and sign an affidavit. You will not be able to withdraw without this. It doesnt matter if your withdraw method is via bank transfer or ewallet. You will simply not be able to get your money off until the above is done. Some members have even noticed when depositing via prepaid, their depositing and withdrawing options get locked until verification is done. So this means, you read their terms, they have nothing written about prepaids, you deposit your money and are now unable to withdraw any money including your initial deposit.

This of course will be nothing more than an inconvenience to some players who do not have a problem with signing affidavits, however to some players who are against it completely, have a much larger problem. You are given one option. You sign the affidavit or you dont get your money.

This is not meant as a bash thread towards videoslots. I personally hate to see players win in a casino, only to be caught by something they werent expecting upon withdraw. So if this helps even one person in the future, Im happy.

Hi guys,

We are working on our Terms and Conditions and it will be updated shortly to reflect this.

Best regards,

Philip

Wow I understand that I have to sign a letter to say these prepaid cards are mine which I think is crazy but I love this casino and will do it. What is cazier just talking to support
you have to download the letter for each card...Really?? I have up to 20 of them on file. To fill in card number 20 times and upload 20 times this Im not happy about. You would think sending the letter in one time with all numbers sign on one page is enough..Nope have to be uploaded 20 times.:mad::mad:

Hi deepsky2,

You can add all your cards to one document and send to us. You don't have to do one for each card.

Best regards,

Philip

Uploaded a pre paid vanilla master card for verification over 28 hrs and still say processing.

Do not like to post any bad pr for Video Slots as they are the best in the industry but this problem with prepaid card still exist and its been brought up many times. Just want Video Slots to know that this is still issue.

Surly they know me by know deposit every day and Im sooo tired of taking pics of each prepaid card and on top of it the wait for processing.

No fault of Video Slots went to withdraw $500.00 but could not as still say card verification is processing and was not allowed to withdraw that was hrs ago. Of coarse continue playing and lost and like I said this was my fault and probably would of deposit back but the point is its like a delaying process each and every time.

For now on I will be depositing with prepaid cards at other providers to show I'm tired of this its annoying and pointless.

They should nether of let you carry on, no withdraw should = NO PLAY

I know they have measures in place but alot do not know this and still not really good enough

Have you tried live chat?

Once the verification for my debit card was standing for "processing" for long hours-24 hours or so-, so I started live chat to ask what's going on, and it was verified right away by the CS I talked to.

Hi Deepsky2,

I have sent you a private message.

BR,

Daniel.

Its still not not process so went to live chat and was told sorry about delay and that he'll send a reminder to the payment security team.
Not same luck you had and reason I never went to live chat before because this has happen to me more than once and live chat has never fixed it for me right away the only way it got done was when I contacted Dan but I'm tired of this running around. Now its over 35hrs or so:confused:

Hi all,

I would like to inform in this post also that we have found a solution that will make all our players who use prepaid cards happy!

Players who use prepaid cards will soon not have to verify their cards anymore and the reason is that we have found a way to recognise if the card is a prepaid card or not. The card will be removed straight away from "My Documents" and will be treated as any prepaid voucher.

We hope to have this solution live in August.

Br,

Daniel
