We use data from the odds provider, which basically what makes us not "truly" decentralized.

How everything works in our end:
1) We give our players the opportunity to place bets directly from EOS wallet. This means that the funds are yours and yours only, we have no access to them. You can send a certain amount to place bet and that's it.

2) Bets acceptance and validation process is written on the EOS blockchain. Each bet is separate transaction.

Betfair have been in business for almost 25 years and don't look like going out of business anytime soon. I know this is in Europe but it calls the accuracy of this statement into question.
