I thought it might be fun to share your strangest but tasiest cocktails now that the holidays are coming. I am always mixing various things together because although I enjoy a cocktail, I cant stomach too much vodka in a drink cause of my tummy

I started mixing this particular one a couple of weeks ago and tried variations until I found the perfect blend for me. It sounds disgusting but if you dare, you will find that its very tasty. Im sure most of you use more vodka than me so you can always adjust the amounts of one or all ingredients

1 short glass with ice cubes in it
1 shot Absolute Vodka (of course your favorite brand is fine)
1/2 shot of Chocolate Martini Mixer (I use gold martini in long thin bottle)
2-3 parts of Diet Dr Pepper
1 shot of milk

It ends up looking darker than a white russian and lighter than a black russian, Almost like a Bailey's color

Here is my Bloody Mary recipe:( i dont measure, I go by flavor)

Mr and Mrs T's Spicy Bloody Mary mix
tiny bit: clam juice(sometimes ill buy mary mix with clam juice in it)
squirt of: Lee and Perrins Worchestershire
specks of : brown mustard
tiny bit: of horseradish
lemon wedge
wee bit: green olive juice
celery stick (some use celery seed)
dash of salt and pepper

So did ya have a fun night last night? :D

I know you were trying out your concoctions.

They sound good, but I haven't drank in about 10 years. Do you have any with no alcohol? Something fruity maybe.

Im not a big drinker either but I love mixing stuff. I would make a great bartender for someone because I woudnt drink up any of their booze lol. I think because parents always entertained and I learned at a young age how to mix drinks and it always seemed fun to me

Virgin drinks are just as easy, you just dont add the booze! Here's tropical virgin pina colada type Just Play:

1)Blender
2) Ice
3)can of coconut milk (they sell in mixer aisle) I prefer that can thats kinda blue and yellow and looks like an island on the front. I forgot the name
4) Dole Pineapple Banana Juice
5) splash of lemon lime soda

OR

Glass of Ice
Minute Maid Mixed Berry Juice
lemon lime soda such as 7up (I prefer sierra mist for mixed)

OR
In the soda aisle they have all kinds of drink mixers for cocktails
just add everything but Vodka/Rum

OR
Buy a box of cold water iced tea bags
Make a pitcher of ice tea but instead of adding sugar , I add crystal lite on the go packets of raspberry so it gives your tea flavor and sweetens it at the same time.
(you can also add vodka to this)
It turns out a pretty cool color too because of the brown in the tea and the red in the raspberry

Cute thread Babs

We are hosting a Christmas Party Friday night and I was just wondering what the hell I should serve. You have to be so careful now about folks driving away from your home after having enjoyed a few drinks. In New Mexico, I would be held liable if they should have one too many and be the cause of something so I will be serving plenty of nibbles along the way. Those virgin Pina Coladas sound pretty tempting and would look festive too.

Sex on the Beach (taste just like Fruit Punch with a Bang)

Equal parts Vodka, Chambord & Midori. Then double parts of Cranberry and Pineapple juice. Shake and strain. Down the hatch. Yummy!

Hey Cyn

I have a cute idea...Why dont you buy a few small gifts or gift cards to like Starbucks and wrap them and offer every person who volunteers not to drink and become a designated driver a gift?

The 7/11 offers free coffee to designated drivers on New Years' Eve. The other thing you can do is hire a responsible teenager (the kind that babysit on weekends) and instead of having her babysit you can hire her to drive people home who seem to be to drunk (unless of course its very late or far)

Do you guys remember those punches our parents made??? LOL....you know..the ones that were in huge punch bowls and had sherbet in the middle of it? I thought those were pretty good. Its just a berry juice mixed with seven up and sherbet in the middle to keep it cold

Prosecco is an Italian bubbly wine that logs in at a mere 7 percent alcohol, and a pricetag that is modest. Mix it with equal amounts of juice, and a big glass with ice is less than a bottle of beer, alcohol-wise.

Most cab companies sell gift certificates, and most will deliver them to your door. In our city, we have Operation RedNose, where a volunteer team will drive you and your car home, with a donation to youth organizations encouraged. In its ten years of operation, over $100,000 has been donated to local organizations.

in case anyone would like to contact them in the NewYear to start a similar program in your area. I was elsewhere in Ontario (Brockville, perhaps?) where a for profit company offered the same service year round for a fee. I believe someone told me the same guy did limos and owned a couple of cabs.

Or, if you want, have them crash on your floor, and visit my blog for recipe ideas. :)
