I would love to know who can proudly says that they are profit up for last year's online gaming? Let me start...
For me I'm down by $1.5k at least. Have some ups and downs but still lost.

I haven't added up all my stats for 2012 yet (nor 2011 come to that!), but I think it was a pretty even outcome. The year started badly, but I had a few good results toward the end of the year.

from february to may i was on a roll, having Betvictor almost as my personal ATM. i think i withdrew there about 3500 to 4000. unibet gave me about 1,5k as well.
since i dont keep records, and i dont keep the cash a side, i dont have exact numbers, but i think i ended 2012 with 25 euro in plus, since i am on an dry spell that even makes the Atacama desert in Chile, looks like an oasis.

I do exactly the same; a good cashout is immediately appropriated elsewhere when received, online to pay any outstanding bills on cards etc. via instant banking. I don't gamble it and the good thing is I am 'ahead' when payday comes with nothing to pay out unlike usually, so I can treat myself/save a bit and any leftovers can be 'reinvested' without resulting in any debts. Control your play, DON'T let it control you!
