William Hill In-Store Winnings Back to Debit Card

Won a few hundred pound in-store on a terminal, asked for the money to be returned to my debit card which is linked to a major UK bank. Was expecting the money to hit my account within minutes like every other UK high street bookies, checked a few hours later and noticed it hadn't gone in.

Contacted customer services and was told it takes 3-5 working days, so if it's a Wednesday you are potentially looking at the following week Tuesday to Thursday. What an absolute joke, making customers wait so long just because William Hill have outdated banking operations due to greed.

So if you have to bet in-store with William Hill use cash and avoid having winnings paid onto the card unless of course you're happy to wait so long.

Who do you bank with?

@Mr Shine

I'm not even a bookies player, can't stand the stinking dumps. But gotta be many reasons I think, why you'd be pissed finding out you've gotta wait a few days.
Might wanna go to the other 6 bookies on the other side of the street before going home, feelin lucky. but don't wanna carry too much cash about cause it's the UK and these days you'll get robbed.
Are going to 'spoons but don't wanna do it all back in the random 100 digi cab for one 50/50 gamble at the jackpot which loses, assuming that you make it past the 3 bookies on route.
Came out to do the other things, at least that's what you told yourself. But that money was for something else and being the gambling addicted dole bum that you are had already emptied your bank the moment you got paid. It's a Thrusday and you now realise you actually have to borrow money if you want to eat over the weekend.

Endless!

So... nothing.
