Dear Casinomeister,

This is a issue for you and if someone can help me, it would be you!!! This story is so crazy to me and I am endless frustated.

I haven't been able to sleep a wink for a few days.

I won 55,000 EUR at the online casino "Casino Secret" with 2 deposits of 300 EUR at the live casino.

I then tried to withdraw the money but the maximum amount to be withdrawn was limited to 5000 EUR.

The verification was done and then it was said that a >>>gamecheck<<<< was requested by the provider and it will still takes time with the payout.

Then I submitted about 10 payment requests a 5000 EUR.

And now comes the tragedy: I used the cancellation function and lost one payout request after the other.

At least I had about 30 withdrawal cancellations.

Now I wonder if the casino wouldn't have to prevent a player from acting so irresponsibly. I cancelled several payments within a day and the casino did not respond.

I've now read that many casinos see the feature of canceling payments against fair play and don't offer this at first.

Also, at the beginning, Casino Secret had both: deposit limts and losing limits. Meanwhile there are no loss limits tools in this casino availbale. I wanted to protect my winnings with a loss limit but the casino didn't ask me to.

Normally, the casino would have had to react and protect me from my STUPID handlings because of its own due diligence duties regarding their customers. That's exactly what the casino has done now. They have blocked my account now.

Dear Casinomeister, if you can do somehting for me/mediate between me and the Casino and the Casino offers me a consolation or goodwill payout, I will donate a huge amout to several chartibale organisations . I don't expect all of my winnings because it's due to my stupidity, but at the other side, casino has delayed my withdrawls. I played for 10 years online casinos and this was the first time in my life winning such a huge amount.

This is endless frustating to me .....

They aren't going to.give you any of it back I'm afraid.

... And now comes the tragedy: I used the cancellation function and lost one payout request after the other.

That is indeed the tragedy because I'm afraid there is nothing I nor anyone else can do to help you. We can't control your actions at the casino, only you can do that. While it may have been very poor customer service for the casino to drag their feet on your withdrawals they didn't make you play your money back. You did that and the results are yours to live with. I'm sorry if that sounds overly harsh but it is the truth and it is the bottom line here. There's very little more to be said.

Yet another 21bet-type casino. Claiming MGA licence but runs only Microgaming under that licence, the rest is under whatever they like.

Games seem legit, well at least Netent and Play'n GO. Didn't bother checking any further.

5K withdrawal limit looks low. Keeping it pending is normal stall tactic.

Learn from the experience and do not reverse again, ever.

Oh dear, if you reversed and played it all away I am afraid it is gone mate.
You just should have kept withdrawing 5k every week.
It is bullshit this day and age to have a 5k limit weekly anyway but hey that is a great way for people who won big to play it all away again.
I never ever won an amount close to that of yours but I have won amounts up to 5k, once I hit that WD button it will remain there until I have been paid out. Reversing a WD is the worst thing you can do.

If you still feel the need to gamble just make a new deposit and maybe at a different casino.

I genuinely don't think I would ever play slots again if this happened to me, reflects how brutal gambling can be at any given time. Please learn from this massive error in judgement and should you ever be fortunate again to win big, then take time out if you cannot lock the withdrawal as at least you won't be tempted to throw it all back again.

Dear Casinomeister, if you can do somehting for me/mediate between me and the Casino and the Casino offers me a consolation or goodwill payout, I will donate a huge amout to several chartibale organisations .

Why not just ask the to Casino to donate the money straight to the charities you had in mind? Seems like a waste of time to have the money go through you if you're planning on donating it anyway.

Normally i would criticize the casino for slow withdrawals etc. But from what i am reading the max withdrawal is 5000 at a time and you tried to do 10 withdrawals of that amount and so they kept cancelling them which obviously they would as that is 50000 at one time.

So you played it all back.

No wonder you are gutted i would never forgive myself if i did that.

I know how bad you must be feeling but in this case i do not see what the casino has done wrong. You are the one that cannot control your gambling and blew all the money rather than waiting and sorting it out. I am afraid noone can help you get the money back as harsh as it may sound this is all your own fault.

Personally i feel it is yourself that should be seeking help to give up gambling as anyone that blows that sort of money should seriously give up gambling before they end up in serious trouble.

50k would sort so many things in life for me. I really really struggle to see how anyone after such a big win would carry on playing, Not like you would win another 50k so why keep playing?

as others have said after that i would never play again as you will never repeat the win.

Nono, *he* cancelled them.

I used the cancellation function and lost one payout request after the other.

Thanks but that is even worse. I know he feels so bad but just cancelling and blowing that much is crazy. No wonder he is trying to find away to get help to get it back. I seriously do not know what i would do if i blew that sort of life changing money. I seriously think it would drive me crazy and i would do something stupid.

That's very unfortunate but there's nothing anyone can do here. I'm not sure how I would even try to place this but I can understand you haven't been able to sleep...

Atleast I hope you learned a valuable lesson here, if you're going high stakes make sure to read the T&C's of the casino or get in touch with a VIP manager before you start playing to make sure you are verified immediately and can get a large sum out in one fell swoop.

But to be honest it would probably be much better to self-exclude everywhere and never gamble again because you're never going to repeat this and are going to chase the dragon losing even more than those deposits for a total of 600 euro.

I wish you all the best.

Gutted for you mate. That's a lot of money to win & then lose. Unfortunately the money's gone now if you reversed it & played it through. I guess all you can do is draw a line & try to move on from it now.

Nothing can be done for the OP, as most said, other than learning from this.

As for "how this happened", it is very easy. If it wasn't the highest TRTP on online slots would be 50%!

While waiting, the player remembers how good it felt winning. Feels invincible. Wants that feeling again.
Just 5000, there are 50k more so its ok. More is better always, maybe even buy a house with 50k more.
Should be easy.......

And then it starts, losing, upping bets and the 5k gone. Still feels ok, no problem, the next 5k will win it back and win a lot more.....
Because the player still feels invincible.....

Soon though 5k are gone and then 5k more. Panic starts but the player can't accept the defeat, can't accept that such a huge mistake was made......
Must win that 15k back, must win it back at all cost, must win it all back no matter what.....

First step to protect yourself is to understand how easy it is to lose even 50k.
Then read all the useful articles in CM about RG tools and managing your gambling.
Then never ever cancel a withdrawal!
Then set your own system to protect yourself.

Thank you for all replys both, the negative and the positive. Nikantw described it perfectly how I lost everything. The intention of my post is not to find someone who is guilty of what happend. Maybe we all can learn something from this issue, player als well as casino.

As something bad happend like this, the Casino could show up some goodwill. Why is this so unrealistic?

My opinion is that a reliable and good casino simply do not offer cancelation of withdrawls. That's it. The cancelation option feels like the casino thinks "hey player we don't want to pay you out, so here is your money again and play with it, play with it until you lose it all!!!"

It's sad really, but happens so often. Hopefully one day soon casinos will not have the option to leave these withdrawal requests open to cancellation/playback. It really is preying on problem gamblers and that is exactly why it's unethical.

The only real thing you can do is just think that you really only lost 600.00 since that is the amount you deposited.

Hopefully you have learned from your mistake, if this is regular behavior of yours you really should think about getting some help because it's a serious addiction that can really cause harm to yourself and your family members. Not trying to preach or judge, you may be a very wealthy person, but the fact that you haven't slept over these losses leads me to believe that this money would have really been beneficial to you.

Wish you all the best in the future, but as @maxd stated above, there really is nothing that can be done to help now.

:(

Well I've felt sick gambling away £300 from a £10 deposit before now so I can well imagine losing 50k+ is going to really really hurt. That's life changing money for a lot of people.

I'm genuinely very sad for you and I sincerely hope you don't now go chasing it back...In your head you lost 50k but in reality the total overall loss is only actually 600. Do not go chasing the same win, it's really very unlikely to happen again and you'll end up completely ruined if you do go chasing it.

Thank you all for your contributions. It would be so easy for the casino to find a goodwill solution in this case. I mean I have lost 55K due to delayed withdrawals (and my stupid handlings). Any goodwill refund between 55K and 5K would give me the opportunity to forget this issue. Further more, CASINO SECRET has the opportunity to stand out positively from the crowd of all other bad casinos. So, what are you waiting for, CS?

Whenever I hear stories like this I think to myself why do these people play on these casinos that nobody has heard of?

Casino secret?

Just... why?

There are so many popular casinos you could have played on. it wasn't like you could play unique games on that site was it? you were playing live casino which is basically available on every single site and most of those games are the same on every site (evolution gaming or playtech - roulette, blackjack, blah blah)..

just very strange.. I haven't actually read your post I will do that now but yeah...

edit: so you reversed 55k euro of withdrawals.. you have nobody to blame but yourself.
you could have played on a popular casino like casumo, videoslots, trada, rizk and u would have got much quicker withdrawals you would have also been able to set limits but you chose to play on "casino secret" ......

With all due respect I admire your effort, but you got more chance of pigs flying than you getting 5k never mind the full 55k back!

In fact you won't get anything.

I think Lacoste2020 is from germany, maybe it's more complicated for germans re where they can play? I always wonder why anyone would deposit a lot at smaller unknown casinos, bound to get more hassle/problems if you win big imo.

One of the affliate sites google presented to me just blocked me from looking up the casino, saying its restricted for my country [I'm in the uk]

blocked here as well (Canada)

Funny you mention 21bet, since their .com site has actually been shut down & the .uk.co site seems to have new owners. Can't use them as examples of how not to run a site anymore :(

In Germany you can sign up to all the popular casino's. Their restrictions have more to do with providers.

I thought I remember someone [a rep from a casino] pulling old robby up once, must've been about playing and winning on netent or something. I wonder why they restrict providers, seems odd to me, how can 1 provider be legit and another banned?

Licensing issues. E.g. some German providers are not available in Germany because the B&M lobby has them exclusive for landbased casinos.

Then you have branded slots which again come with a string of licensing issues.

Some providers do not have licenses for all countries

Hello Casinomeister Community,

We are very excited to be now active on Casinomeister. I am Marie and will try my best to read all your comments and reviews about us

We are a brand-new casino and are sincerely happy for all our winners. Since we had a player who won a huge amount, we asked him for an interview as we wanted to publish and share such an extreme success story with the community. With only 600€ deposit the player managed to win an amount over 50K, which is AMAZING!

We had contact on every single day with the player since his winnings to congratulate him and of course to inform him about the process.

We do gamechecks for large wins. This is a standard procedure where the information is verified by the game provider.

We totally can understand the frustration of players when luck is not on their side.

As a regulated casino we take responsible gaming seriously therefore we offer our players deposit limits, reality checks and the ability to cool off their account for a limited or unlimited amount of time.

In the nature of gambling there is an element of risk involved which we can not influence.

Whilst we wish all our players the best of luck we cannot decide for the player. Therefore, if a player decides to play, we respect the decision and wish him good luck!

Marie

Casinos should also be held accountable .You can't say that the pending time is 24 to 48 hours and then not process the withdrawal. I would like to see one of these cases taken to court in front of judge. If the casino doesn't approve the withdrawal in the time they specified it not the players fault.

Your comment is hardly going to make the OP feel any better. Probably best in future you think before you hit the Post Reply button.

Reversing withdrawal option is still quite common practice and i think more casinos do have it instead of not having it or having lock option and if they don't have option for you to do it yourself, they can make it for you through live chat (as they have to have that option in their end as some withdrawals actually have to be cancelled by them).

Unfortunately i have to agree that in my opinion playing this big wining back 5k by 5k has been your own decision, like described earlier, it can happen one by one when you still think you have loads of money waiting there and can try luck with one more until you realize that most of it is gone already and trying to win it back with these last 5k:s you still have there to reverse. I recommend that you consider really seriously to your gambling and controlling it as this is quite clear sign about gambling problem that you play all your winnings back.

Casino might have this kind of high rollers who are playing ten of thousands in a relatively short period and it's they level of gambling big. After all, now just will be better to think that you actually lost only your 600€ in total, other money were just temporary winnings which you played back. If you still continue playing, do some evaluation to your habits and if you have problems with self-control like this suggests. If you can't wait casino to pay out your huge winning (i assume that you keep this amount huge from tone of your posts and your deposit sizes), really consider not to gamble at all.

OR if you happen to be this lucky second time in your life, self-exclude yourself for 6 months and they have time to pay you out (if you were from UK they actually would have to pay your balance in 24 hours after self-exclusion, not that sure about other licenses like MGA, not to go other ones... they might have some suggestions at least if not regulations. Then at least you can't play all your money back (even though MGA gives change for operator to revoke self-exlusion, with 24h cool off when indefinite period and 7 days cool off when it definite period) so at least then you have to wait 7 days before you can access to your account and during that time you probably take another thought and not do it by extending your self-exclusion before cool off ends and have again 7 days if you happen to revoke it.

Using SE in such a cases is maybe not really optimal option but as it's made for problem gamblers to use, this is one scenario where problem gambling happening and using SE option to secure your winnings is not wrong IMO. Casinos even could give out and pay all at one time like they at least for UK are forced to (maybe there is some regulations from MGA as well regarding how fast you have to payout balance from self-excluded account but not gonna go through their audit manuals on Saturday morning :) don't remember it from head). Approving withdrawals in instalments is not really that beneficial for operator if they know you can't reverse and lose them.

Be happy that you lost "only" 600€, there are many stories about players going tilt mode and can lost such a amount you lost back by taking loads of payday loans, use their all savings etc... At least you didn't do that, even though is horrible feeling to had 50k for short time and then it's gone but nothing can be done for that. Casinos could and imo should have been taken action by contacting you when seeing you reversing these and play them back but they haven't violated any laws by letting you play. They of course haven't been very responsible when letting this happen without stopping you, but it's not something we see often that casino block your account that you can't play winnings back, i guess that receiving email from them asking are you in control your playing etc.. when you already lost over half of money back wouldn't have change your mind anymore as you were all the time aware what's happening and wagered your winnings (how casino can see it if they would bee questioned about this as it didn't end up huge losses but amount of 600€).

Edit: Only read all posts now. What's coming to your idea about goodwill, there really are no any grounds to ask that. If you were lucky and playing in good place, you might be able to get some cashback to play with and probably with wagering but asking even 5000€ as a good will is really something i never can see happen. Cashback also is commonly counted from net losses which in your case is 600€ and don't really make you to VIP cashback deal in almost any casino.

Giving you such a big goodwill now would really be same than give money back for all loosing players. Yes, there are questions about should these slow withdrawals and long reverse periods exist at all, but they are not illegal to be there and player after all is only person who can make such a decision to blow money back. In all numbers and stats, you have lost only 600€, not 55000€. If you are up some time and then keep on wagering your winnings, it's not really your loss. I hope you can get over this and in future really consider how and if at all you should be playing online (or even anywhere).

I think most of these casinos with good reputation here and otherwhere are operating in Germany as it only takes MGA license to do so (German have quite high tax rates for casinos compare to unregulated most common unregulated markets but it's not regulated that you would have to apply license etc... Some providers are excluded as somebody mentioned like in some other countries as well). Casinos only under UKGC license don't ofc operate there but many good ones, mentioned regularly here are.

Cancel withdrawal, or cash-out and re-deposit - what's the difference?
Sorry to be harsh, but it is your fault and your fault only - you can't blame anyone else.
I am sympathetic towards you, as you obviously have very little self-control. People with this issue should not gamble at all... ever.
I urge you to give up all betting and seek professional help if you think you need it.

Rude and unhelpful. Please don't.

Pretty sure the op feels bad enough.
I dont care how bad he feels hes trying to get casino to pay out AFTER he willing to piss 50k up the wall of hes OWN doing, Why should a casino deal with players like this. Only reasons hes came on here and made a thread is to try and get hes money back, Fair enough this forum is fantastic with advise and help and even helping in that kind of thing. However when its something that a player has done there selfs and the casino has done nothing wrong thats when it gets me frustrated, I mean move on get over it and seek help if needed.

Yeah and gambling addiction is a serious thing.

How would you feel if he saw your comment and it was the final thing that sent him over the edge to do something stupid?

Sometimes a little bit of tact and thought goes a long way.

I I have been NOWHERE NEAR as blunt or rude as I could of been, I have made my points told him to get help if he needs it and to move on from it. The more he posts and reads the thread the less hes going to move on and forget hes mistakes, Draw a line in the sand and move on :D, I do hope he gets help IF he wants/needs it. But i think we all have reversed a withdrawal from time to time and not had an addiction.
