Askgamblers fake?!

Hi dear casinofriends,

I don't know if I'm allowed to even say this, but Askgamblers seems like a fake suggestive casino promoting site. I see people who wrote over 2400+ reviews reviewing casino sites at Askgamblers (against their T&C. Also they have high ratings of casino's who aren't even respecting responsible gaming and supporting their clients with issues.

For instance some rogue casino's are still high rated and my reviews of genuine experience get deleted there without any explanation.

It seems to me they get funds from some casino's to seem very reputable companies so when a potential player googles the casino they end up there.

I heard that many complaints also don't get accepted even with genuine evidence.

I don't know if you guys already suspected this or your views about it.

I'm glad that Casinomeister is a really genuine site/forum to do your research before playing at a casino.

Greetings

Skephan

Money from affiliation far outranks ethics at AG. They had to be dragged kicking and screaming just to remove Affiliate Edge/Affpower sites and that was only because the pressure got too much for them. It became a lot worse when Catena bought them out a couple of years back. They promote plenty of sites rogued here or grey-zoned.

Yeah i got shafted on a couple of casinos they recommended in the old days before i knew about this place even tho I actually only joined here more recently..... So AG is a complete waste of time IMO, tried the rest now just stick to the best ..... CM all the way.

Well glancing at their Pornhub thread (which came nowhere near our own) I'm sure I saw their mods give Pornhub Casino the ok, provided they pay fast and don't mess players around, which kind of says it all.

I guess anything sorta goes there :eek2:

And I concur too lol.

I was done over to the tune of 3.5k by one of their ‘trusted/recommended’ sites (also listed as UK).
False reviews appeared frequently but they weren’t interested when I told them.

The plus side of it all was that I ended up here where everything is above board and honest (unless it’s posted by @goatwack lol)...

Can’t help wondering what @LadyJelena thinks about the OP.....

The biggest issue I have with AG is that they promote unlicensed (non UKGC) casinos to UK players despite each page carrying the Union Jack and recognising you are connecting via a UK IP address.

There was a video posted on YouTube a few months back (which was swiftly removed - but I still have a copy ;)) from a casino manager detailing how much he was 'to pay' for higher rankings and a front page listing.

It mean the Original Poster, but in this case I think she refer to the Opening Post.

Oh my, still have to learn forum language :D

Is this because I used to work there? :) Didn't know members know this fact :D

Well, the only thing I can say is that AskGamblers team (based in Belgrade) is really great, a bunch of cool and creative young people, but honestly I didn't like the website being sold to Catena. This happened not long after I left. Catena is too big and commercial, so I was afraid AG will lose a lot from their genuineness and personal, close approach to their players, afterwards. But guess it's the usual destiny of websites bough by giants.

I also like lots of the articles they publish and design as well, so I'm a bit sad reading the negative player experiences. Spent there working for 4 years, from the period it was still a handful team, so I'm very happy and proud they grew this big, but still I'd never like to be part of this kind of concept where everything can be bought, reportedly.

So happy that Casinomeister still sticks to the right values ^_^

That is exactly why I wondered what your thoughts and feelings were. But then felt a little bit bad to have asked sorry.
I was curious about a view from the inside of the site... knowing how genuine and honest you are.

Don't feel bad at all, I don't mind answering anything :D
Thank you so much for the lovely words <3

They had to be persuaded more than most, that is true. With both Bryan and myself on their case regarding Affiliate Edge. But, to be fair, they finally did the right thing.

I am not sure I agree. I am only able to use ecopayz for depositing and withdrawing and from a google search it took me to AG where they list out all casinos accepting ecopayz. Amongst these were kingbilly, bitstarz, wild tornado, bob's casino etc. etc. Whilst they did give me some hassles on the verification process once verified all cashouts were handled within minutes. The only rogue was Mr. West who reversed my withdrawal at their discretion. I havent played at others other than the ecopayz related casinos.

Ask Gamblers tried to ban me when I helped the community in combating and attempting to pursue legal claims when Smartlive ripped us all off. I produced evidence and large scale fraud and the Scam the CEO at Smartlive had produced over a 7 year period until the day he attempted to voluntarily dissolve the company. My research and efforts far outranked theirs in supporting the gamblers and yet they went through tooth and nail to suppress my postings and findings. More likely took a payout from the Corrupt CEO himself (Karim Garipogulu). Still to this date I've not heard anymore about my promised £2.4k withdrawal and neither has anyone else for that matter in Excess of half a mil that I could account for. Both UKGC, Action fraud and Savill's were not interested. Pfft so much for having our backs hey!!!

AG do not operate to protect the interests of the gamblers but to be a profitable business in my humble opinion.

It’s not about integrity and honesty, more about getting you to click their links to casinos.

Many of us have negative experiences from trusting their advice (mine to the tune of approx £3.5k).... and when you try to contact them to point out fraudulent behaviour on the part of the casinos (eg writing own glowing reviews),they simply aren’t interested.

Sadly, they do have an outstanding, highly detailed and very searchable database.... which we could do with pinching the model for here at CM lol.

Remember, AG had to be cajoled, kicking and screaming, into dropping AffEdge sites. Their ethics went out of the window when sold a few years back. I'd rather trust Gary Glitter with the Girl Guides Troop than this lot with their casinos.

I frequently go to AG to find out more details about a casino - the owner, associated casinos, available currencies, etc - if I need further information that CM doesn't provide.

I have to second the point made about their database - it is brilliant. Shame it belongs to such a rogue gambling forum.

They pay Indian content spinners a few bucks to leave "reviews". Indeed, it's fake. They promote just who pays them, no matter if it's some clip joint or a legit brand.

Can somebody explain me, why are Direx NV group casinos ranked in TOP listings on
askgamblers with such a good reviews and rating, while they has so many unresolved complains on other gambling community sites?[/quote]

Differences will always be. I see here PlayOjo ranked high, while they're blacklisted at the Pogg. Opinions about what is a safe and good place to play will always differ.

Of the top visited review/arbitration providers available online it's very clear that some obviously favour their commissions over their userbase with certain casinos/casino groups and I do find casinomeister from my own observation seems to be less influenced by this bias, but like any and all information available to us in the world, every sentence formed by any individual at any time in history, transmitted in any form comes with an inherent personal bias, even from those who work hardest to be as neutral as possible. So your best option to form an educated bias of your own is to seek out and learn the opinions, arguments, reasoning of those who share their views/opinions with others, examine the issue from all sides and pick out the bits of information that seem to be the same or similar regardless of bias/slant.. those are probably as close as you'll ever come to something resembling "facts" and then from there, pick which particular pieces of propaganda resonate best with who you are as an individual, form your own opinion and test it out in practice..

Critical thinking.. ain't it grand?
