Will definitely play it, but seems to be a blatant rip off from the Novo classic "Book of RA"..
Not that i really care, though i do suspect the people @ Novo could have a problem with it..

I was just thinking is this 1st April? Clearly the guys from Play'N'GO have spoken to Novomatic about this new slots or else I would say they have a legal battle ahead of them and should be ashamed of themselves. As this is not just a look a like it is a blatant copy of Book Of Ra.

lol, they decided to clone Book of Ra, and all they had to come up with was a good name. And they decided to name it 'Book of Dead'?? Something they came up with 3 am 1st of January?

There's been numerous Book Of Ra rip-offs although this one is more obvious than most - even down to the logo! It's always surprised me that companies that write original games can't protect them - it's not just Book Of Ra that gets plagiarised: think Queen Of The Nile & Cleopatra is the earliest one I can think of. I think if there was any legal comeback likely Novomatic would have exercised it on someone else by now. Or maybe they licence the engine out?

Book Of Ra original has 9 lines but the most common one is the Deluxe version which has 10 too. Bore LOL.

LOL so their previous clones of Book of Ra and Dolphin's Pearl weren't similar enough, they had to make a carbon copy all the way down to the logo?
I understand why they do it (but it doesn't make it right), Novomatic's games are insanely popular but the company has taken a very passive approach when it comes to online. This lets PnG bank on those customers wanting to play Book of Ra, as they're rolled out in hundreds more casinos than Novomatic.

I hope that Novomatic will somehow force them to take it down. I mean really, there are endless themes and ideas. Second, you can make a reproduction of a successful slot, but this is just ridiculous: name, theme, logo, layout - it's exactly the same. And don't get me wrong - I like Play'n Go slots.

However I was just told that Book of Dead only will be released on mobile. Not sure if/when it will go live on desktop.
I am sure different mobile casinos have it live by now. I only checked desktop yesterday.

hmm ok, im wondering why i cant find it in most casinos with playngo-games. verajohn, mrgreen, betsafe, mobilbet/comeon and some others...they do not have it at all...there actually are many clones of book of ra to find online, but not on mobile, so i appreciate this game...

its actually not that bad slot really. I dont really like their games all that much but i really liked book of dead and royal masquerade though. Played this one at rizk a couple of times and its probably on the higher end of variance scale too, but considering you can bet as low as 10c on it, its not that bad really. I think it really is on par with book of ra when it comes to variance, and i only got 4 sets of free spins so far but only 1 paid less than 100x and i had 2 wins of over 200x too, so maybe thats why i like it so much

Just horribole slot, done over 1000spins on it had 2 features paid totally crap, did ~350spin on it today since released to regular casino dont think i had a single win over 5x and ofc none features, i like some of there slots but this is a huge miss might do a 10-20spins once in a while so see if the slots gods gives a quick feature but thats it.

It has some serious potential though. I had 4x the top-symbol (this dude) in the free spins and got 1000x . 5 of him pay a colossal 5000x. Base game is pretty shitty giving some minor wins. Pretty high variance so quite an interesting slot.
it's pretty similar to the first installment of this indy jones ripoff (aztec idols) with the exceptions that instead of 15 lines there's 10, there's no added bonus game like before, and the feature is pretty much exactly the same. Oh yeah, and instead of aztecs you get egyptians. Well yippee.

Have had two low rolling sessions (0.20 and under bets) on $20 and $30 deposits at Thrills playing via mobile and busted out each time.
I have had the bonus round a few times with about x10 to x20 pay but this slot is really high variance and you can go a long time without hitting the feature. I did get full screen of 10's in a bonus round for decent pay and a bonus round of around x200 which took my balance up to around $50 but the next bonus round came when my balance was down to around $10 and after that it was a steady decline to 0 balance.
It sure looks like book of ra but book of ra feels much better to play. Since novomatic is now not accessible to australian players I guess this is a decent alternative. I will play this slot from time to time but I'd much prefer endorphina's mongol treasure to this.

its a appalling slot , so far im around 300 down , not a first time for that, but when i've yet to see a 8x bet or more they should ban games like this, how this slot passed testing is beyond me .so in 300 of losing from 1-2 bets i've not hit a 10x bet shocking to be frank, there's losing & being ripped off , i don't think i can recall any slot taking this kind of money without hitting 10x bet in game play.

Feature one gave me Aces and got just over a tenner.
Feature two gave me queens, got a retrigger so had 20 spins, it gave me the queens just 3 times, and was all just 3 lots, ended up with about 4 quid.

It's not Book Of Ra as you'd know it.
High RTP (nearly 2% higher than Ra) but you wouldn't think so from playing it.
There must be some absolute monster win capabilities in it somewhere because it's utterly evil to play, horrible bonus frequency and can destroy a decent bankroll in short order, even if low rolling on 50p. As I found out to my cost.

Had some beginners luck on it. Played it a couple of weeks ago at £1 a spin and within 20 spins hit a feature that paid just over £400.
Haven't touched it since because it is bound to take the money back again!!

This slot shouldn't be called Rich Wilde's Book of Dead. It should just be called Dead. One bonus in 350 spins and only one 5 of a kind. Play 'n Go, like Endorphina, have no idea how to make a slot like this. Novomatic slots can be tough on the bankroll but are fair and well-made. You don't feel cheated. These pretenders simply use the Book of Ra formula to screw players with their frequent teases and poor RTG. Even at 20c it eats that bankroll.

Due to my lack of good judgment, I decided to try this one out. 50 euros, just 30 cents a pop, didn't even take 15 minutes. One feature with the symbol K, not even one 3 symbol hit in the 10 spins. Feature gave about x10, two x10 in the base game and the rest was x1 or x0,5 pretty much for the entire run.
This game suuuuuuuucks ass. Cancel it, and infact cancel the entity that is play n go, horrible games you can't win from.

I'd say the variance is a lot harsher than book of ra. It's not really the same.
So I scored around 700 on netent today, took out the usual amount and thought I'd play with the excess. Tried this game today again for over 500 rounds because I'd really like to see the feature, I have played well over a thousand rounds on this and the result is always the same. It's fairly impossible to win anything from the base game, and when you shoot well over a thousand times from this games inception with no feature you can guess how it ends.
I have never posted conspracy theories or accusations of games being rigged, but Book Of Dead and the other playngo game I play(ed) which is Aztec Idols, have produced exactly 1 features over what I estimate is about 4000 rounds of playing. That feature didn't pay anything significant, on the contrary. Not a single dime from the scatters. I am willing to state playngo is rigged, gives out nowhere near what they promise and I will not be playing these games and suggest to everyone else that they do not play them either. I understand 4000 rounds isn't much of a sample but you should see the shit I get from these slots. Not one penny goes towards these cheaters again.
