Hi all,

This thread is for questions and answers pertaining to the Casinomeister's 2nd Opinion ( "C2O" ) button application. I'll start it off with a bit of an FAQ but freel free to try it and chime in:

WHAT IS C2O?
It is a button you can simply add to your browser toolbar which you can press when you land on any casino site and it tells you if it's accredited. If it is, it gives you info like cashout times and stuff.

HOW DO I INSTALL IT?
It's dead easy - simply a question of entering your CM forum username & dragging the resulting button link to your toolbar - there is no software needed or anything. You will need to allow popups on Casinomeister (because the info is provided in a popup so as not to take you away from the casino page you are on)

CAN ANYONE USE IT?
It's only available to Senior Meister Members right now but it will become available to all Meister forum members once it's bedded in. Inexperienced players will find it useful as a guage of whether a casino is good or not while experienced players will probably appreciate more the "at-your-fingertips" data it provides on accredited casinos.

i have used it now for test purposes

it worked for me
c2o test.webp

tried in another site (guts)
and it says that its not on casino meister data base,
and its in de BOF

BOF casinos are not appearing in "database"?

first comment. Works very well and the info looks nice and clean.
But I do have some concerns about this :
This URL is not on the list of recognized sites so double-check it's legit!

This is what I got on this URL
You do not have permission to view link Log in or register now.

I am pretty paranoid when it comes to msgs like that so it would throw me off from going any further

Dave

Both the BBF and No-can-do list should be done tonight. Simmo is out playing golf at the moment. Priorities, people.

Thanks - that's for Ian to sort out. Perhaps we can include a more relaxing message.

Nice feature :)

I just gave it a try on Butlers... but it seems we were not included :( Got a 'Sorry, this site isn't in the Casinomeister database' pop up.

And was ''consult the AZOC list' a typo that meant to say AtoZ list, or am I just not familiar with the AZOC acronym?

Odd. You're definitely in the database. This is something for the muppet to solve. I guess we'll have to wait until he's done with his round of golf.

I tested wintingo.com, so far so good however i also see the message "This URL is not on the list of recognized sites so double-check it's legit"..

What does that message actually mean. To me, it would mean that the casino is not in the CM database, and is therefore not recognised. The fact that the app DOES recognise the casino and gives the information then makes me see the message as an error in the app, which can safely be ignored.

Perhaps as well as a different message, there should be an explanation of what it actually means. This will enable users to make their own minds up as to the risks involved in continuing on that website.

It is probably not a problem during the restricted release, but IS a problem if this gets released to the general public.

As well as confusing users, it could generate complaints from casinos that the message is damaging their reputation.

I'm back :) I lost :(

On the URL thing, it was just a little extra: it reads a data-list of URLs that CM would need to maintain and perhaps that's just a bit too OTT. The idea originally came up when I discovered an affiliate site using what I would have expected to be a casino's URL.

So, two options: either I disable it or we change the message. Suggestions welcomed.

AZOC = acronym for AZOnlineCasinos.com btw ( acronym for by the way :D )

I'll check the database later tonight and make sure it tallies.

Fixed. My bad. I had entered Butler Bingo into the database instead of "Butlers" :p

the button is no longer working in some cases
in other cases works fine

Nice job, worked well when searching casino's randomly around the net.

I did notice on a few occasions nothing appeared in the results, box was empty.

If you find a blank one could you post it so I can investigate please? Ty :)

Any more thoughts from anyone on what to do with the URL message?

Also, I've just added Baptism By Fire and No Can Do casinos.

Excellent idea and cracking tool!
I'm going to have a sweep on how long it takes before someone "pays homage" to it.

I checked redbet69.com (not us of course) and it brings up the "Redbet is accredited message".
I don't care about this case from our point of view but maybe worth looking at the settings for URLs.

Cheers
Andy

Thanks Andy.

This highlights the URL issue and why I put it in, so URLs can be masked/set to give users more info. The message was desigend to tell ppl that its not the official site and just to be careful but it's leading to confusion... hmmm.

I can get this tool to work in IE but not in Chrome.
I can't think today or I have to admit that I'm not so technical.
Saving among favourits are easy but not to get the button on top...where it has to be so I can use it.

Not liking IE so please help :o

In Chrome, click the little "List" icon (top right) to get the drop down options menu. Mouseover "Bookmarks" and make sure "Show bookmarks bar" is ticked and click it if it isn't (or simply do CTRL+SHIFT+B together to toggle it on).

Then you should be able to drag the link to it.

I already have 9 that I use and are showing, and a lot of more favourits. I just don't know how to switch the places for them :p
I might find it out eventually. I'm still trying to learn Chrome. I'll get there. Don't use any casino I don't already know all about already, but for any newbie this will be a great thing to use, and learn from.

tested in a lot of more casino sites and in sun palace casino it appears that have 2 links, sun palace casino and sun poker
both appear that are not in cm database

a sugestion, in "rogue" casinos the message should be more agressive in instead of "is not recomended" only.

...a sugestion, in "rogue" casinos the message should be more agressive in instead of "is not recomended" only.

This has already been discussed in depth. We're keeping it as "not recommended" because that's more of an opinion and is protected speech (in most countries). Once you start using terms like "rogues" or "crooks" or anything aggressive, then it's entering areas where litigious people dwell. I'm happy with NR since it's just that - Not Recommended.

So I'm guessing things seem to be okay. I'll be opening this widget up to a couple of more user groups probably tomorrow or this weekend. I've also added quite a few more casinos to the db since we started. :D

Sorry I'm a little late to the party. I had some problems getting this set up (and now I feel dumb).

What do I do when I find a casino that is not listed? Do I pm Simmo to have it added to his list, or here in this thread?

They aren't accredited, but they do have a rep (or two maybe still) here on the forum.

The best thing to do is to start a new thread here:
https://sussexmskpartnershipeast.com/forums/community/c2o-forum/

There is a thread prefix "Casino Not in Database" that you can use. I'm the guy who is responsible for updating the database. Simmo fixes things that get broken. There are prefixes for those too. :D

Really cool feature! I like :D

Tested a few sites out, it work's really well. Few suggestions:

- I would add CM official rating to this to allow differentiation between multiple accredited casinos.
- Info is pretty great as an overview, but potentially a link to CM forums (even better if the accredited casino has its own thread - to the thread) for people who would like to research more about them.

Minor:

- Chrome icon doesn't show the spade the normal CM bookmark would show.
- Your entire JavaScript code is exposed in your description :)

Capture.webp

Awesome idea.

I like it, excellent idea. I tested it today, I deliberately put in 'red rabbit' knowing it was non-responsive and the button gave me the Virgin Casino information! All others I tested were OK.
Then it went wrong on the last one - I put Rushmore in and got a jpg of what suspiciously looked like a freshly deposited dog turd!:D

Really good tool, I tested it on some casino sites which had appeared in spam I received and it worked a treat, with the link giving the reason why the site is not recommended an excellent addition. Easy to follow instructions and ease of use a real plus, noticed Bet-at.eu did not appear in the baptism of fire while others did....Good work all involved

This is such a great idea. Whoever came up with it needs a pay raise . Looking forward to trying it odd.

edit: Tested it on 3dice. That's so neat to me.

Did tried it out just now, cool feature.
I would like it if new members used it, they are in the need for this more then us that more or less know what casinos are good/bad imo.

We've releasing this a few user groups at a time. I'd like it to be used as an incentive to achieve full membership - but we'll see. Perhaps we can use it as an incentive to sign up to the forum. But we already have incentives for that. :D

Great little gadget.

I tried on Bet-At.EU and it says not in the database. Some sites I had to allow popups but found that if I "always allow popups from this site" the widget wouldn't work (receive a popup that said Internet explorer could not load. Unspecified error), but if I used the "temporarily allow popups from this site" it worked.

Other sites worked just great.

The muppet genius has fixed the "hyphen" issue. Bet-at-eu now shows up in the Baptism by Fire

USA note?

I mentioned this elsewhere, then had the brains to think that I should probably post it in the right spot.
I've been using it, and like it. One piece of feedback though, I'd love to see a note or something about USA. Or something perhaps for everyone, indicating more on which countries are accepted or forbidden.
Thanks for creating it in the first place!

club777 casino

#[nourl]http://www.club777.com/[/url]

they are mansion group
mansion is no can do, club777 is not on database

When i use the tool at ambercasinoclub.com it shows the information for Casino Club.

I like the tool, thank you very much

I'm back from another extensive "on the road" tour :D

I should be getting to these early this week.

Fortune Room? :what: I thought this had been closed like Desert Dollar by FL?
