Direct linking to casinos

I am still playing catch up on the Google changes since I last [cared] ran a website. If I direct text link to a casino, should I still be using the 'no-follow' option?

If you are using a redirect script, I'd put a NOINDEX, NOFOLLOW meta tag in. If its a direct link I personally would put in a nofollow but I'm not sure it matters overly anymore.

I would also pass them using php or any other methods. Meaning yoursite/play/casinoname and not just pasting the casino link itself on every page. lmk if you need more details.
