How do you handle losing streaks without chasing losses?

Hello everyone,

I wanted to start a discussion about something every gambler faces sooner or later: losing streaks. We all know how tempting it can be to try and win everything back quickly, but that usually leads to even bigger losses.

So I am curious, how do you personally handle losing streaks without falling into the trap of chasing losses? Do you have any strategies, habits, or mindset shifts that help you stay in control and walk away when things are not going your way?

First of all don't stick to only 1 casino, if you do you are asking for these streaks because their RTP shows no loyalty and actually works in reverse when they see you only play with them.

After that notice that some days/nights luck is on your side where deposits across multiple casinos are hitting and have some courage to raise your bets on those nights and try maximize profit.

On the flipside there are some nights where you can make 20 deposits between 5 casinos and absolutely nothing is hitting, these are the nights that after deposit 2 or 3 you need to be disciplined to realize it just isn't the night and stop chasing.

How many threads are you going to start which involve simply harvesting information from people without actually participating in the discussion yourself? You're either a bot, AI or here to gather members' insight disingenuously.

You've made 5 messages in total on this site, and all of them are of you opening new topics that ask for information...

I am not sure why that’s an issue. There’s nothing wrong with asking questions, that’s literally what forums are for. If a topic doesn’t interest you or you don’t like the way I participate, you’re always free to scroll past and ignore it.
Not everyone contributes in the same way, and starting discussions by asking questions is just as valid as replying to existing ones.

Back in the day, I’d go full zcofren-mode – swearing at myself, talking back to myself, keep depositing, upping the stakes, upping the stakes… and the craziest part? My biggest wins actually came when I was in tilt-mode deluxe.

Then along came Gonzo, smacked me back to reality, and I took a break from gambling. I don’t play as aggressively anymore, and believe it or not, I’ve actually learned to recognize when the “tilt” hits – and somehow I can stop it now.

I think most of the sites I'm on have implemented loss limits on my behalf so I can't really lose that much these days. Although over a few sites it can add up.

The issue I find now is that because depositing and playing large amounts is such a major hassle and likely to trigger a safer gambling msg it's all too easy to blow winnings instead. Basically you know that's the only chance you'll get to stake high without jumping through hoops, so it's easy to go a bit mad when the money is there. I don't know if the UKGC have considered that, but then I don't suppose they really care if it's winnings you're losing! I've done that a fair few times, and you're not hitting any loss limits if it's winnings so you're able to lose it all. Maybe you'll get a safer gambling email a couple days later just to rub salt in the wound 🤣

I agree with the some of my biggest wins in tilt mode and upping stakes, same has happened to me, but then there is just as much and probably even more sessions where tilt mode takes everything and upping the stakes only speeds up this process.

Exactly. I have a thread here about my tilt on Gonzo’s Quest where I fed in over 100k euros. You have to be very careful. Nowadays, I boycott everything related to NetEnt. I’m tired of their 20–50x bonuses.

Playing NetEnt games for me is like buying scratch cards — you scratch just to win another scratch card (that’s the “bonus”), and when you finally get that “winning” scratch card (the bonus), it’s also a loss.

Maybe AaronHorvat would like to participate in his own discussion and tell us all what tactics he uses to stop himself from chasing losses and gambling irresponsibly, instead of just 'Liking' every single post on this thread like a fucking robot? I'm sure we'd all love to hear what he's got to say...

Jumping off the back of @Lemon 's concern, I'd like to dump some evidence of trying to collect data elsewhere.

Did you hear Gonzo's Quest 2 is out? 🍺

LOL, why is there so much hate? If you don't like my questions do not reply. Also, I can make the same questions on different forums why does it matter? Different forums = Different responses = Different people. Anyway you can think whatever you want, nothing changes for me.

I guess people want to know why you are farming this data across multiple sites.

Can you explain why you are asking these questions, and what you intend to do with the information?

Because it's not good form to make discussions which you then don't participate in yourself. You don't reply to those whom have taken the time to reply to you.

This bot-generated tripe script has been posted on other forums where you've pretty much had the same kind of responses to it as you have here. Unsurprisingly.

No law against that, but perhaps be a bit like machine learning yourself and LEARN from the comments here and elsewhere that this kind of activity is not conducive to good discussion and falls flat quite quickly.

From now on, please try and give something back to those people that replied to you. Demonstrate you can participate on the same basis as other forum members. Answer their questions like they have yours. Beginning with the several threads you've already initiated.

Until then, you may find any new topics you try and start will be closed down immediately.

You're not being banned or 'hated' but advised strongly to develop a degree of forum etiquette like everyone else.

Thanks!

There's a poker section on here somewhere in case you wanted to make this new thread -
