Good evening everyone

New member here and was informed to stop here to find help and escalate issue with MonkeyTilt casino.

Backstory. I’m from Ontario and recently made account on 07/11/25 for MonkeyTilt casino due to ad placement I’d been seeing the past couple weeks promoting Canada. So I made account and deposited $69 USD and activated new member bonus 500%. I then gambled through wagering requirement mostly on BGaming and Hacksaw slots as a prompt popped up for any Pragmantic or No limit city slot “sorry this game is not available in your jurisdiction” anyways roughly $20000 USD was wager requirement, came out on top and netted $8700 dollars. Pretty thrilled I was able to get through it I then attempted to withdrawal and was hit with error message then informed by staff I’m in restricted area and can’t withdrawal. Now I’ve asked around, read TOS and done anything I can to try and understand how a company that 1 admitted they know location, proof they know location (blocked games) 3 claim in TOS to geo block lets someone create account, deposit, collect bonus, wafer through bonus, all while not noticing?

Is this legal?
Am I skrewed?
Do I give up?

Thanks guys
Jerome

Congrats on the win. Sadly that is about the only bit of good news.

Bottom of this website - by the way, the name alone should have had alarm bells going off.

Monkey Tilt is operated by Kong Quest Ltd, registration number 3-102-901020, with registered address: 400 La Ceiba Street, San Rafael District, San Jose, Costa Rica. Kong Quest Ltd is licensed and regulated under the Gaming Act by the Tobique Gaming Commission

that you can play on - its a pretty wide selection.

You have picked a casino that falls outside of this regulated market, therefore there is nothing the regulator can do.

As for Casinomeister, we have a complaints system. However, with this casino regulated by "Tobique Gaming Commission", you may find that it extremely difficult to get your money back.

Maybe other members have experience with Money Tilt and maybe able to impart some helpful advice.

Yea sort of the reoccurring realization I’m starting to get but will not lose hope until I gotta. In my head it’s real money I believe is owed to me and around 12 thousand Canadian could really help out. I’ve ended up on unregulated casinos like this before and was able to withdrawal butttt it wasn’t as substantial amount of money so maybe that’s the reason? I’m just trying to hear as many people out and get any insight I possibly can before I give up. Appreciate response

Sadly a Bootique licence is worthless. The software providers, well let's just say some providers are less fussy than others when it comes to supplying scummy casinos or allowing play where they don't have product licenses.

Would you say I 100% have no chance of getting paid, like are there any success stories for similar situations

I also find it strange they haven’t banned my account with them admitting to knowing I’m in Ontario

I reckon you'll get deposits back only, as you were playing unlicensed. Tell them they shouldn't have taken them if you were not in their jurisdictions.

Sadly it's a scummy scam often used by bent casinos - ooops! we took money from an unlicensed player then:

1. They bust, they'll be none the wiser.
2. They won, no we won't have to pay them because they aren't playing from a permitted location.

Win-win for the casino. It sucks but it's very common.

I've just cycled through a bunch of their restricted territories and most of them are properly done with a pop-up saying to disable VPN and/or that you are in a restricted territory. Malta and Toronto VPN IPs were not properly blocked despite being on the list.

Technically possible its negligence but like dunover says likely a malicious tactic.

Playing outwith AGCO regulated sites, while risky, is still possible, but if you do this in the future you really need to check that they not only have a solid reputation it also check the terms before depositing any money. Ontario is an extremely frequent inclusion to the restricted territories lists of casinos.

At the end of the day the casino should have properly blocked you like they do with most of the countries/territories on their list but checking the "restricted countries" section of the terms of every casino you play is the best way of protecting yourself going forward (other than only playing ontario licences) especially when you live in such a common inclusion.
