Questions can be posted in the thread or you can PM @conker

Can you play at any casino or does it have to be listed on CM?
I myself have played several tournament entries at an Åland-based casino (reason: full RTP) and because it is in a way a Finnish casino for Finnish players, this is of course not found on the CM lists.

Entries have always been valid and the rules don't dictate anything about the casino selection so you can play outside the list if you want

It’s a valid question though as another current comp on CM stats that screenshots from crypto casinos are not valid. I assume it’s the same with this comp.

If it is not stated in the rules then it is best to assume nothing.

There are plenty of crypto casinos listed on CM, there are no rules about entries for Crypto in this comp.

The moderators are keeping a close eye out for entries that are not legit Pragmatic Play slots, ie cloned versions. We ask for the casino name and also the replay link for this reason, which help prevent this from happening.

If in doubt, drop me a DM and I would be happy to clarify anything you are not sure about.

Ok, fair enough. But my next question is going to be why crypto entries are valid in some comps but not others?

Ok, good question.

So, in our multiplier comp, which is running this July, we chose to exclude crypto casinos for 2 reasons:

1. There are many crypto casinos that are on dubious licenses and this just opened CM up to a few issues around running comps that were accepting entries from questionable casinos. This falls under a broad bracket of licensing and regulatory matters, which can be a complicated matter for the forum.

2. The calculation of the multipliers could be made more difficult if there are a variety of crypto currencies being entered and we have to look up the rates on the specific day and do all sorts of calculations. Now, we are learning that many of the replay videos do calculate this for you - however, as this was our first comp of this type, we wanted to keep it simple first go.

Will crypto casinos be allowed in future comps? We are keeping all possibilities open.

also worth mentioning that at several well known competitor forums, they are excluding Crypto and unlicensed in comps for very similar reasons.

Thanks @conker, this is really informative.

My assumption about crypto casinos being excluded was due to some of the dodgy operators who run bent slots with large RTPs for those who take a deposit free bonus. A balance is built, withdrawal requested, and casino then asks for a deposit first for “verification” purposes. Because these places exist, I agree that crypto should be excluded from the “highest X win” comps.

Points 1 & 2 are also very valid.

This could be point 3 :)
