Problem with Verajohn welcome bonus

Joined
Mar 27, 2021
Verajohn got a new licence last week. They offered a new welcome bonus of 100% up to 1000SEK. I had played there for at least 10 years before their new licence. I took it and I played until I had lost my real money and began playing with bonus money. Then it stopped working and said loss limit reached. I thought it was strange as I don't have a loss limit set on Verajohn or another casino. I contacted them and they said they had set it themselves. I thought that they would remove it after I send in their requested info on what money I'm using to play with. I sent in the info and they confirmed it but still didn't remove the loss limit. They denied removing the loss limit on my bonus or paying me back my deposit. They never informed me they had set a loss limit and I only found out when I couldn't spin anymore and after I contacted them myself.

I feel deceived as had they informed me of any loss limits when I first created the new account or first deposited I would have cancelled the bonus and withdrawn my money. They still haven't even informed me what the loss limit they put is. Feels impossible to wager the required amount if I can play once a month and without knowing the loss limit. I still have 70% left to wager as you have to wager both bonus and deposit.

Be careful with Bonuses!
It is  crucial  that you understand and agree to the terms and conditions of any bonus that you accept. Most of the complaints that come through our arbitration service are bonus related; it would be safe to say that there are tens of thousands of players who have never complained because they realized after the fact that they did not understand or had never read the terms. Nothing in a casino is free – so whenever you see “free” being used, there are stipulations. It is important for you to understand that.

No idea if this recent announcement has anything to do with what you are experiencing:

"Glitnor Group is delighted to announce the launch of Vera&John, which will become the Group’s fourth brand. The licensing of Vera&John represents a triumphant return to a brand originally launched back in 2011 by Glitnor Group founders Dan Andersson and Jorgen Nordlund."

I'm afraid we don't have a registered rep for their new owners or the casino, so you might be inclined to Submit a Complaint and see where that takes you. Be sure read and follow the rules if you choose to do this.

Just a heads up for anyone else thinking about registering an account with the 'new' Vera&John.
They used to run all slots at their max rtp versions, now its just another 94% site, so you may as well skip registering if rtp matters to you.
Demos show 96%, are they baiting me?

Oh wait, they won't even let me join...

I don't think I've ever seen a demo that wasn't at the higher setting. We pretty much need to sign up, log in, open a real play slot, and only then be able to find out what the actual rtp setting is.
I've seen some demos on lower rtp,

..but you're right that you can't trust demos that are at top rtp to be top rtp in real mode. Curse them!

It is also possible that they run higher rtp:s on other markets, but generally i would say most brands that run 94% slots on one market will do the same for all of them.
I guess the exception would be Germany where i think most casinos use somewhere around 90% rtp to counter the high costs/taxes that germany have imposed.

Do anyone know if RTP is lower in Sweden than other regulated countries? The Swedish Gambling tax for Casinos is 22% of the gaming surplus (stakes minus winnings paid out) to the Swedish state.
