They knew exactly what I was talking about when they told me multiple times it was going to be credited to my account. That's the trouble when you risk playing at unlicensed sites. Being Australian your govt. has effectively blocked external online gambling therefore none of the sites you can play at are going to be completely ethical as they operate in your case ex-jurisdictionally.

Sadly, as you have witnessed, the type of sites willing to take Aus play are going to be scammers, same as many of the unlicensed sites that take UK players.

You can submit a complaint if you want to, that may go some way towards raising the alarm on this outfit.

As has been pointed out by @dunover the Australian govt. decided long ago that protecting the valuable revenues from the land-based pokies empire was much more important than allowing online casinos to flourish. It was cleverly veiled in 'protecting players', but in essence they have thrown Australian players, that play online, to the wolves. You have zero protection, zero accountability by the casinos, and zero comeback. It's the worst of all worlds. The casinos that take your money know that, the Aussie govt. know that, but sadly many of the players that venture online have no idea how exposed they are.

This has been a very expensive lesson for you and I really hope that you are somehow able to claw some or all of your money back, but if you aren't then you must learn from this. Your govt. have sent you down the river without a paddle when it comes to online casino gambling.
