Samsung or Iphone?

Still rocking the humble iPhone 13 here, bought new back in the Summer of 2022 and recently had the battery replaced under Apple Care a few months back. Absolutely no need to upgrade, records video in 4K and has more than enough storage.

Probably won't replace for a good few years yet.
I got Samsung s24 like year ago for £799, 6 month ago got stolen in London, replaced by insurance, just not happy with battery

Sorry to hear about your phone getting stolen. I hope if using a physical sim card and not an e-sim, you had password protected your sim card. Good to know you were insured though!

Yeah, I know what you mean about battery life. The 13 is the first iPhone I have had that realistically lasts all day. However, so glad I took out Apple Care as when it reduced to under 80% of its as new life, Apple replaced the battery for free. Thus, adding another few years worth of life.

If and when I do replace it I likely will go for a larger handset, such as the Pro or Pro Max, but to be honest, I am not sold on the new design of the 17.

is like normal now in London for phone to get stolen, I got insurance with monzo bank card travel and phone, they replace my phone in 4 hrs very good service, I had E-sim and foreign sim cards number on phone but I blocked my phone from my laptop, I dont thing they got acces on it,apple care not cheap but worth taking, I got on my both Laptops apple care, Had some good wins this month I thot I get new iphone 17 pro with it, but sametime not sure is it worth paying over £1000 for it

anyone has new Iphone 17 Pro Max? is it worth paying over £1000 for phone?
LOL brought my daughter the iPhone Pro Max last summer the 512 GB one, over £1300 IIRC. She loves it, the zoom camera is incredible I must admit. If every other phone was way less than 1k I'd say no, it's not worth it but I have the Samsung S20 Note Ultra which was over 1k when I got it, it's great but not as good as the iPhone overall to be honest. That said, they are up to the S25? now so I am unaware of the real comparison between the iPhone 17 and latest S25 as my S20 is 4 years older.

The 17 is a spiffing bit of gear and if the same price approx as the latest S25 you'd need to read consumer comparisons and reviews for a clearer picture (no pun) but I bet they have fans and critics in equal number, but even if that's the case, the Apple carries a bit more kudos and second-hand value.

I'm a cheap and cheerful kind of person when it comes to phones. A decent flagship Android that's 3/4 years old will do. I'll use it till it won't work anymore. Cex are great for that principle, I'm their most unpopular customer buying cheap old Android phones and claiming against the warranty when they refuse to turn on. From last year they upped their warranty to 5 years! My last claim was April this year. Currently using a S21 and got 4 years left on the warranty. Well I don't do video editing or play power hungry games so why do I need the latest device?

I think a major draw is the operating system that the phone runs on. I mean some of the Samsung handsets are build wise just pure quality and they have always been renowned for having brilliant cameras.

But for me I just could not get on with Android when I navigated away from Apple the one and only time after the iPhone 3gs ( My first iPhone ). This saw me return to the iPhone at my next network upgrade window.

The iPhone 13 I currently have is the first phone I have actually bought outright and not been locked into exorbitant network monthly fees. It will last me now for another good few years before I decide upgrading it.

maybe is time to wait for Tesla Pi lol

Elon Musk to Roll Out New Tesla Smartphone that Promises to Be a “Game Changer” Elon Musk recently made a historic announcement regarding his revolutionary new Tesla smartphone called 'Model Pi'. This new smartphone would sell for the disruptive sales price of $250

When choosing between iPhone and Samsung, I always opt for Samsung phones. Both companies have high-quality products with stylish designs. However, Samsung is always ahead of Apple in terms of hardware. Plus Android OS. The S26 series will be introduced in February and will go on sale in March, after which the S25 and S24 series will be cheaper. If you have the option to wait, I recommend buying one of those
