The British Horse racing industry is to strike on 10 September 2025 with all meetings cancelled over the proposed betting tax.

Four meetings will not take place, the strike takes place on day before the St Leger festival at Doncaster, a fixture Keir Starmer and his wife attended last year.

Completely futile gesture, punters will just bet on Irish/French/South African racing, greyhounds and the cartoon racing.
This wont achieve anything and if this is all the BHA can come up with to combat potential tax increases then racing is royally f**ked.
