Unlicensed site (MadCasino7.io) accepted UK deposits

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for some advice or shared experiences from anyone who’s dealt with something similar.

I’m a UK resident who is self-excluded through GamStop and has gambling blocks active on my bank accounts (Starling, Lloyds, and Revolut). Despite this, I recently came across a casino website called MadCasino7.io.

After depositing I discovered that the site’s own Terms and Conditions explicitly state that UK players are not allowed:

“3.1.2. You are not allowed to register on the Website and use our services if you are a resident of, or accessing the Website from, United Kingdom.”

However, the site clearly allows UK players to register — I have video evidence showing that during registration it asks for and accepts a UK address, postcode, phone number, and email, and then allows deposits using UK bank accounts. No KYC checks were done before accepting funds.

When I complained, MadCasino7 replied that I had “registered through an affiliate” and that they have no control over those advertisements, but this doesn’t explain why their own registration process fully supports UK details.

The payments were processed through PayOp / TransferOP Payment and Banking Circle S.A., using what appear to be legitimate UK payment channels. My banks confirmed the transactions were authorised, but they shouldn’t have gone through at all because:
  • Gambling blocks were active (at least on Starling and Lloyds);
  • The merchant seems to have disguised the payment type, meaning the gambling blocks didn’t detect it;
  • The operator is unlicensed and operating illegally in the UK.
I’ve raised disputes and formal complaints with all three banks, and I’m preparing submissions to the Financial Ombudsman Service, Action Fraud, and the UK Gambling Commission.

I’ve also written to PayOp and Banking Circle as the recipient/payment processors.

Has anyone here:
  • Had similar dealings with MadCasino7 or related sites (often using PayOp / RPay / TransferOP)?
  • Managed to recover funds or get a positive outcome from their bank or processor?
  • Dealt with affiliate-linked “Not on GamStop” sites that still accept UK players despite claiming otherwise?
Any insight, experience, or advice on next steps would be hugely appreciated.

Thanks very much for your time and for any help you can offer.

Hello,

You’re definitely fighting an uphill battle with a place like MadCasino7.io . As you say they are unlicensed and you already know that they are happy to prey on Gamstopped players. In other words you are dealing with bottom-feeders who have thrown up a shingle for the sole purpose of taking anyone’s money. There is no reason to expect fair or decent treatment from such a place.

Which brings us to your central question: what to do? You can waste a lot of time trying to jimmy or cajole them into cooperating, or you could cut to the chase and go for the jugular. In this case about the only thing they are likely to respond to is bad publicity, meaning threads like you’ve posted here. The more the merrier. Show people the BS they’ve given you, etc. That and that alone are likey to produce results, if any.

But be forewarned, places like this can be vengeful. If you opt for the bad publicity campaign you’re more or less declaring war against them so be prepared for industrial grade nastiness in retaliation. If you’re braced for that then you probably haven’t got a lot to lose.

Good luck with it.

madcasino7.io is a mirror specifically made for UK (and maybe other illegal territories). Canadian and Irish IP addresses are blocked from this url but can access the madcasino.io url just fine.

Definitely intentional and a good reminder to always check if your country is on the restricted list in a casinos terms and to not play there regardless of if you can access, sign up or deposit to the site.
