Can you recall the very first time you sat down to play poker? Was it on a screen at home or live with friends? What pushed you into the game at that moment...maybe curiosity, a recommendation, or just pure chance? And looking back now, do you feel it was the right way to start, or would you have done it differently? I’d love to hear everyone’s first poker stories!

Back in the day I used to watch Gripsed on Youtube with his weekly tournament walkthroughs of winning players and how to handle different spots. I found by really making my starting hand range a lot tighter i was making it to final tables on freerolls, woohoo! Betfair hourly freerolls back in the day lol!

First ever live poker tourney was at the Alea casino at Nottingham back when they hosted live tourneys for £15/£20 and got told off because I was sitting in the wrong seat haha!

Never doe too well in live tourneys but they are a fun experience!

I started with micro-stakes online to learn the basics, then tried a few live games with friends. It was fun and taught me a lot about reading opponents and managing nerves. How about you - was your first live game very different from online?
