Online Casinos Launch ‘Reverse Bonus Buy’ Feature

By Dave Sawyer, Last updated Apr 1, 2026

In a move that has left many casino players and slotters scratching their heads, it has transpired that several leading online casinos have today announced the launch of a new feature called “Reverse Bonus Buy.” This innovative addition will allow players to instantly lose money with just a few clicks!

One unnamed operator labelling the move as “the logical next step in player convenience” and a “facility to streamline the modern gambling experience”, could not hide their enthusiasm for the new feature going live!

According to early press materials, the mechanic is simple. Players select their desired stake, confirm the transaction, and immediately receive a result of £0. No animations, no anticipation, no drawn-out disappointment.

“It’s about respecting the player’s time,” said one senior product manager at a major slot provider.

“We’ve listened carefully to feedback. Players told us they don’t always want to sit through 300 spins just to end up losing anyway. With Reverse Bonus Buy, we’ve eliminated the middleman.”

The feature is expected to be rolled out across a wide range of popular titles, with some studios already teasing “enhanced loss experiences,” including optional sound effects such as a brief sigh, a muted trombone, or complete silence “for a more immersive outcome.”

Casinomeister forum moderator Dave Sawyer, who organises the monthly competitions on the site, was also enthusiastic about this new development, stating:

“The last couple of weeks I have been scratching my head figuring out what new exciting competitions to introduce to our forum community.”

“The news of the introduction of the Reverse Bonus Buy, has provided a light bulb moment. As such, expect to see a ‘Race to the Bottom’ competition soon on Casinomeister!!”

Dave has been involved in the Online Gambling industry for 20 odd years now. With experience working for an operator based in Gibraltar, where he headed up the IT team at Ladbrokes, to running his own iGaming affiliate websites until 2019.

Dave now writes for Casinomeister and sister site Casino Gazette. You may also see him on the forum from time to time, where he goes by the handle Webzcas.
