NetBet - Lower RTP

NetBet have lowered RTP on Play'n Go and Pragmatic slots, seems NetEnt and Microgaming are still the 96% models.

I like to take part in the daily Book of Bonuses promo, play £20 through Book of Dead and get a prize, anything between 25 free spins and £25 bonus money (its normally £10-£25 prize for my player level so effectively 50 - 100% match) and tend to do 100 spins at 20p on 1 line. Half the time wagering the £20 means no loss of money if I can hit a bonus or a 5oak hit (worth minimum 100x on 1 line), however, the past 5 times I'd played I'd had neither and pretty much bust each time so checked the RTP. They have lowered Play'n Go to the 91% math model, Pragmatic are on 94%.

So, lesson learnt, even on the casinos I trust it's worth checking the RTP before spinning, and it's quite striking that with just a small amount of spins (500 across 5 sessions) it was obvious something was very different and think players will definitely notice something is up. I do wonder if it would be so obvious on the 94% version?

I wonder why they've gone for the horrific 91% model as this is a huge change and players will notice even when not aware of RTP.

Too easy to win on Play & Go, there were stories of players buying brand new cars for cash and going on expensive holidays with all the max win thresholds being hit day in, day out on their slots. Especially Moon Princess, Rise Of Olympus and Hugo throwing out jackpots like confetti. I hear it just wasn't sustainable.

Something had to be done. Hopefully NetBet taking a more balanced maths model will allow for harmony to be restored between Casino and Player. Wish them luck.
