To say that we have “history” with Golden Star is a bit of an understatement, to say the least. We received our first complaint against them almost exactly 24 years ago, on 10 April 2001. Back then, we had no relationship with their casino group and would go on to loathe and dread the lot. For the better part of a decade, we tussled with their casinos over serious player issues and chronic problems that, in our eyes, tainted the lot… and then everything changed. A new rep came onto the forums, olive branches were exchanged, they agreed to upgrade a number of important player-related issues in exchange for us giving them a 2nd chance, and — long story short — they revamped and renamed their group (now Dama NV) and have become one of the most professional and reliable casino groups that we deal with.
We haven’t heard a peep about Golden Star since 2018-ish, and nothing worrisome since well before that. The bottom line is that the Dama name has become a golden star for ALL the casinos in their group, including — wait for it! — Golden Star itself. The bad old days are well behind us now, and we would expect players to have no problems — certainly none that can’t be resolved promptly — and Golden Star in the modern era.
