    Casinomeister's Verdict

SlotStars leaves a good first impression, with a relatively simple UI, powerful search tools, a great selection of games, a solid set of payment methods, and several useful responsible gambling tools. It’s also licensed in several strong jurisdictions, which is always good to see.

Unfortunately, we were sorely disappointed with the bonuses, as the wagering on the welcome bonus is quite high and the casino doesn’t seem to offer much in terms of ongoing promotional offers. The support had to be the worst part of the experience due to the clunky bot and long wait times, not to mention agents repeatedly missing the point of our questions.

All in all, we have no strong reason to believe that SlotStars is in any way a shady operation, though there is some very obvious room for improvement here. For more details, see our SlotStars casino review below, and be sure to share your experience in the forum if you play here.

While we have no direct experience with SlotStars, the company behind the scenes — SkillOnNet — is well known to us. Our experience is that these casinos or white labels are generally as good as the rep they have working for them. For instance, the EGO group has a dedicated rep that elevates the whole group well above the average.

On the other hand our experience with some of the other SkillOnNet casinos has been far less satisfying. The sister casinos of SlotStars are equally unknown to us so that might be telling us that the whole operation runs smoothly and without drama, hopefully that is the case. In the case of unresolvable disputes with the casino, the designated ADR is eCOGRA, which is perfectly satisfactory. All in all we’d say proceed with caution but there is no specific reason to be concerned.

    Pros

    • Great selection of 8000+ games

    • Tested and approved by iTech Labs

    • MGA & UKGC licenses

    • Great set of responsible gambling tools

    Cons

    • High wagering on the welcome bonus

    • Sparse selection of bonuses

    • Support is as responsive as a brick wall

    SlotStars Casino Bonuses and Promotions

    SlotStars Welcome Bonus

The casino has a simple first deposit bonus: 100% match up to €100 (£50 for the UK)  + 50 Free Spins, with a minimum deposit of €/£10. Seems straightforward enough, but the terms leave a lot to be desired.

First, there’s a wagering requirement set at 30x the bonus and deposit amount, which effectively means you have to wager your deposit 60 times. This is very high and a far cry from the industry standard 35x that we see less and less of as time goes on. The free spins are valued at €/£0.1 and credited for Book of Dead, set at 91.25% RTP with the same wagering requirements, so it’s really a footnote in the whole thing.

All in all, it’s a very underwhelming welcome bonus. We’d have no problem recommending it if the wagering requirements were lower, but as things stand, it’s too much risk for too little reward in our opinion. If you claim this offer, be sure to read the terms carefully.

    No-Deposit & Free Spins Offers

Sadly, SlotStars doesn’t have any no deposit bonuses or regular free spins offers on the site at the time of writing. The only promotion seems to be “Daily Picks” where the casino serves up random bonus cash or free spins offers but they’re nothing particularly impressive.

That said, if you’re looking for a casino with more ongoing free spins or reload offers, it’s best to check out some of our other online casino reviews.

    VIP and Loyalty Programs

The VIP program at SlotStars leaves a solid first impression. You get 1 VIP point per $20 wagered on slots, and you can progress through four levels: Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum. VIP benefits are unlocked at the Platinum tier, and the top two tiers — Diamond and Red Diamond — are invite-only.

Now, the actual benefits you get by becoming a VIP include the usual mix of a personal VIP account manager and a bunch of window dressing such as (word-for-word from their site):

    • Invitations to world renowned exciting events,
    • Great promotions to win BIG money,
    • Faster payouts when possible.

Sounds totally worth wagering a Lamborghini to get to that Platinum tier. The only actual benefits you get before you wager a Lambo are milestone rewards every 100 or so points. Only, they don’t share what you can expect to get, and you’re not even guaranteed to get rewards with each milestone.

To be clear, there’s no reason to believe it’s a scam, just no reason to believe whatever they have to offer to VIP players will be worth the time and money, given how vague they are with these promises. Many online casinos, including SlotStars’ own sister sites like PlayOJO, offer better value for returning players.

    Banking & Payment Methods

SlotStars has a number of deposit options, including Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, PayPal, Skrill, Trustly, AstroPay, Payz, MuchBetter, Jeton, PaysafeCard, MobilePay, Apple Pay, Interac, and bank transfers. This is a solid set of options that should have most players covered, though crypto is sadly not supported. If you prefer to play using cryptocurrencies over fiat money, best check out one of the sites on our top-rated crypto casino list.

In terms of withdrawals, there’s nothing to write home about — the casino may take up to 3 days to process your withdrawal request, and you could end up waiting a few days for your money. Thankfully, they do offer weekend withdrawals, so that makes life a little bit easier if you’re using a slower withdrawal method.

We should also note that SlotStars has a €10,000 monthly withdrawal limit and a €5000 limit per transaction. This is high enough to not inconvenience most players, but high rollers should keep it in mind. And of course, these limits don’t apply to players from the UK (thanks, UKGC).

Finally, we were happy to see SlotStars has a streamlined KYC process in place. You’ll be prompted to take care of it as soon as you sign up, and you can easily submit all the required documentation through your account dashboard. Initially, you only need to submit a proof of ID, address, and payment method. However, the casino may request additional checks if they deem it necessary.

    Responsible Gambling

SlotStars offer several responsible gambling tools you can access by navigating to the Settings section under your account page, and you’ll find the following options:

    • Game Status Reminders — Reality check tool that can give you a pop-up every 15, 30, or 45 minutes to help you keep track of your play time.
    • Deposit limits — A daily, weekly, or monthly limit on how much money you can deposit at the casino.
    • Player Limitation — A short-term cool-off/time-out tool you can use to freeze your account for a day, a week, or a month.

In addition, you can request long-term (even permanent) self-exclusion via support. Overall, it’s almost as good as it gets, though we would’ve also liked to see wager and loss limits, as they provide an extra layer of protection.

On top of this, the SlotStars responsible gambling page explains all these features and provides some pointers on what you can do to play responsibly, how to tell if you have a gambling problem, and it directs you to external organizations that can help if you do. All in all, it’s a very good look for SlotStars on this front.

    Customer Support at SlotStars

If you need to contact SlotStars support, you can do so via email or live chat, which is available from 6:00 AM to 12:00 AM (GMT). There’s also a decent FAQ section, and some extra material you can find via the chat window, and that’s always good to have when support isn’t available around the clock.

Before you can get in touch with support, you have to make your way through the most convoluted bot we’ve encountered so far. It kept misunderstanding simple queries and leading us through circles of pre-generated replies before we could get in touch with a human. Once we did, the situation wasn’t much better. We had to wait up to 30 minutes in queue, and any remotely complex question led to agents copy-pasting walls of text, often completely missing the point of the question.

When we tried to get clarification on why our test account was blocked from accessing promotions, we repeatedly got stonewalled and the casino refused to provide any reasoning behind the decision. Granted, it was probably because we were jumping around on VPNs, but it still shows they’re perfectly fine with making seemingly arbitrary decisions and refusing to elaborate on them whatsoever. Not a very player-friendly approach.

    SlotStars Casino Experience and Features

SlotStars offers a great overall user experience, with a clean UI and useful search functions. You can filter games by provider, type, minimum bet, maximum bet, miscellaneous tags, and even player rating. Most importantly, filters actually work like filters — you can apply multiple filters to a search, and the non-applicable ones are grayed out, making it much easier to narrow down your selection.

This is much better than many other casinos that only offer basic title search, though we would’ve liked to see volatility and RTP filters on the list too. The UI itself is dominated by different shades of blue and is fairly clean, though it can come across as a bit clunky at some points.

The casino also works well on mobile — UI is rescaled and some elements are shuffled around to provide an optimal mobile gaming experience. There’s no dedicated mobile app, but the site and the games all worked smoothly, so the overall experience here is quite good.

    Brand games

    SlotStars Casino Game Providers

SlotStars Casino hosts games from roughly 50 providers, making for a good deal of diversity. You’ll find all the big industry names you’d normally expect to see, including Pragmatic Play, Play’n GO, Playtech, Spribe, Spinomenal, NetEnt, and many more. You can easily filter games by provider via search, making it easy to find what you need or try out games from a specific brand.

    SlotStars Slots

The casino has about 7500 slots, give or take depending on your location. There’s more than enough variety to go around, and the browsing experience is surprisingly good. There’s a few subcategories and you can filter your search to only see classic slots, jackpots, megaways, Drops & Wins, or other non-slot games like scratch cards, slingo, table games, and crash games.

    Live Casino

SlotStars also has a good selection of about 500 live dealer games, most of them from the usual big names like Pragmatic Play Live, Evolution Gaming, and Playtech, though there’s a couple of smaller providers too.

Finding something to play is easy, as there are several pre-made subcategories for blackjack, baccarat, roulette, game shows, along with a few more. And if that doesn’t cut it, the filtering feature is also useful here. All the games we tested worked properly, with high resolution video, clear audio, and no noticeable lag. Can’t ask for much more than that.

About the SlotStars Team and History

SlotStars has been around for a while, having launched all the way back in 2018. It’s owned and operated by Skill On Net Ltd, and it holds licenses from the Malta Gaming Authority (no. MGA/CRP/171/2009) and the UK Gaming Commission (no. 39326). They’re also licensed by the Danish Gambling Authority and the Swedish Gambling Authority.

That said, the casino is primarily targeting regulated jurisdictions, which is a good sign at face value. The operator didn’t raise any major red flags players should be concerned about, though they were subject to regulatory action from both the UKGC in 2023 and the Danish Gaming Authority in 2024 over non-compliance with AML policies.

    Complaints and Track Record

We’ve had no notable complaints against SlotStars so far, and we’ve found precious little in terms of complaints elsewhere. That’s always a good sign for any brand that’s been around as long as SlotStars has.

Looking at public complaints records for sister sites, some are proactive and responsive, and others — not so much. Just the same, some have gotten barely any complaints in years, while others have amassed a fair number in a comparably short amount of time.

All in all, as noted by Max, players’ experience with potential complaints may swing either way, depending on the casino rep. Unless SlotStars becomes Accredited at Casinomeister, exercise a healthy dose of caution.
